HP G4-1303AU: lack of drivers - no Internet connection

I have the notebook above but I can't connect to the Internet.

In Device Manager, it shows the yellow triangles with a '! ' for:

-ethernet controller

-network controller

-PCI device

-SM Bus controller

Where can I find the drivers for them?

I tried several drivers (Driver Realtek network local (LAN);) Qualcomm Atheros AR9000; Broadcom Bluetooth software; Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver. Intel Chipset Installation utility and car)

But most of the time a message came to say: "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

You are the very welcome.

Here is the driver for the wireless card you need...

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-113567-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4062&productOid=5280050&sw_lang=&product=5280049

Try this for the smbus.

I zipped or attached (under attachments below) raw smbus controller drivers.

DL and uncompress the file in its folder.  Don't do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus who need the pilot.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder that you unzipped.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

I want to reinstall vista on my Satellite A505. I have the cd and registration key, but I don't have the driver cd (or rather, I have it but for some reason it does not work). With a new installation, vista has no drivers for my laptop, including the driver for my wireless card, internet connection AND when I connect directly via ethernet cable. Hello

    Read this, you can:

"On a Windows Vista-based computer or on a computer Windows Server 2008, the Microsoft ISATAP map appears with a yellow exclamation mark next to it in Device Manager, and you also receive an error message"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932520/en-us

Windows cannot load driver (Code 31), etc.

    RESOLUTION

You can ignore this error message. This error message does not indicate a problem with the adapter. The adapter will continue to function correctly.

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update and that you can not do) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

  • HP Officejet Pro 6230: Install printer drivers when no internet connection

I need to install the base for a 6230 OJPro on a PC printer driver that has no Internet connection.

The HP installation wizard insists to request registration information (e.g., zip code), then try to go online to return it to HP.  While the PC is connected to a network, there is no Internet connection, and the installer crashes.

I get a Dr. Watson dialog box (I cancel), and then the Setup Wizard tries to go online (new) to find a solution to the accident.

Is it possible to install the printer driver, but not request registration information and/or jump to go online to register?

I did find a guide the administrator (or similar) which offers etc command line switches for changing the behavior of the installation wizard to do this.

    Thank you

    @John-Smith,

Thanks for the clarification. I went ahead and installed the basic printing software on my lab and managed to make some changes in the installer so that it automatically opens the online registration. See below:

Open the basic software download, click on the next button until you get the facility agreements and settings, here you have to click on the link that I've highlighted for you, see the image below:

Now once here, please uncheck the option I have pointed out, you can also choose to disable the other options here, I'll leave to you. See the image below:

Once you have unchecked the box to register online, click Next and continue with the installation.

    Hi Bennelson,

To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

1 do you have wireless or wired Internet connection?

    2. what web browser do you use?

    3. do you receive any error messages? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

4 you did any recent software or changes to the material on the computer before this problem?

This problem can occur if a switch wireless network adapter that is not activated, the cables that are not properly connected, drivers damaged or incompatible, lack of updates, or due to the incorrect network connection settings.

    Method 1:
I suggest you try the procedure described in the article and see if it helps.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest to disable the antivirus software and check if it helps.

    Disable the anti-virus software
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

See the article for more information.

  • Satellite L670 loses internet connection

Hello, since a few days my laptop loses its internet connection when I move a few meters or put me behind a window. In this case, I am sitting the router to 2 meters maximum. The power of wireless transmission is very good according to the screen, but there is no access. If I go back inside and once again, I have Internet.

Should what drivers I replace to make sure that my setup is correct? Either way, I also found that the Control Panel, the network card freezes from time to time if I try to change the configuration.

The laptop my wife works correctly in all cases.

  • Satellite L40 - 12K - unreliable internet connection

My laptop sometimes connects with my local wireless network and sometimes is not (so the other pc's in the House do, then there is nothing wrong with the internet connection).

Sometimes it stops even while I work. Sometimes the little orange light indicating that I have a connection is on, sometimes I can't get on with the slide switch backward. Perhaps the slide is broken? I tried to restart a couple of times: it sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't. It's a gamble whether or not I have a connection.

    Someone had this problem?

    Hello!

Normally the WiFi led should always light if the switch is set on you and that you have enabled using FN + F8.
    Did you check that?

But you should try to update the driver WLAN and BIOS before going to an ASP. Two updates that you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

You use internet security with firewall software? If so, you should try to remove it and use only Windows Firewall and another program like AntiVir AntiVirus (Freeware and very nice). Then test it again.

    Good luck! :)

  • Internet connection takes long to launch the Satellite L40 - 12K

    Hello

Can someone tell me if I can speed up the opening of the internet connection on my laptop.

I have a Satellite L40 - 12K, with 2 GB of memory, operating system vista Home premium.
When you enter my user space after 30 seconds the system tray has not all symbols yet, but the drive slows down. At this point, I have the 2-screen symbol with a red cross. Then after 50 seconds, the hard drive shows some activity and then more certain symbols are placed in the system tray.
Then after about 80 s finally Red Cross disappears.
I don't know if this is a common problem with vista, or is there something I can do to speed this time.

    pls help me

    Hello

the problem with Vista is that many things are 'wobbly' which causes the system to do things slower then you're accustomed to XP or other systems.
The best would be to update ALL your drivers and install each update of Windows available. You can also speed up until your departure by removing unnecessary Autostart entries.
I recommend reading this extremetech article that describes how to speed up Vista system startup:

Maybe it s useful for you ;)

Do you have problems with the internet connection using WLAN and LAN?

I recommend you to check if the correct drivers have been installed.

    Can someone help me?
    Please...

    Hello!

After installation of XP have also installed drivers? In particular the Ethernet and WLAN card driver driver. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

In addition, you should check for yellow exclamation marks Device Manager.

Also make sure your router has an internet connection. You can check in the router configuration.

Last but not least to check the card WLAN and LAN TCP/IP settings. If your router is using DHCP, you must activate or try static ip addresses.

Try turning off the Windows Firewall. Or if you have installed a lot of 'Internet Security', reconfigure or disable the firewall.

Update the BIOS and make sure have the latest network drivers and wireless installed.

Try another browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome and verify that the Proxy settings are correct (if you are behind a proxy).

Go to a command prompt and type: IPCONFIG/all
If you see a gateway, you must be connected to the Internet.
