HP HP Pavilion Envy5530 connection

I have a HP Pavilion with a Vista operating system and printer HP Envy 5530. I recently had ATT U-verse, installed with a new router. I have also just changed the ink cartridges. Now, I get a box telling me that my printer is not connected to the computer. Please tell us how to solve this problem. Thank you

Hi @Paulcou,

I'd be happy to help you with your 5530 envy. I understand your description that you got a new ATT U-Verse router, and after changing an ink cartridge, you have not been able to print. Based on the error on the link, I guess the question has nothing to do with the cartridge and is rather only linked to the new router. Please use the following document to solve the problem and I would like to know the results of your efforts: ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage e-all-in-one 4510 Printer series - printer does not maintain the wireless connection.

If this resolves the issue, please click Accept as Solution button below. If the problem persists, let me know and I will do everything I can to help.

Thank you.

I have a Pavilion 23tm connected to an Asus S550C laptop. I did not like speakers of the flag so I wanted to connect a pair of Bose multimedia speakers.

To use the speakers, I can't use the HDMI cable to connect the monitor to the laptop but would need to use DVI monitor. The problem is that the laptop is not a DVI input (it has VGA) and the monitor does not have a VGA input.

Is it possible to bypass the monitor speakers by using the HDMI connection?

    Or what should I do?

DOH! Figured it out. Is there an easy way to disable the speakers to the monitor using the software.

My HP Pavilion 22w full 1920 x 1080 HD screen (which is fairly new) does not connect to my newly purchased HP Omen 870-040na.  I tried two hdmi cables but get the same message. The display shows a message saying he's looking for a signal - so that it can not find a signal, and while she will sleep.

my old PC Pavilion worked perfectly with this monitor, which is only a few months old.  The old PC had Windows XP. And connected via VGA.   I replaced it because it was too slow.  The new PC has Windows 10 and uses only the hdmi connections.

    Any help would be great.

There should be a hdmi on the video card port. This should be the one that you connect the screen, not only one of the two on the motherboard. See the picture I posted earlier. Do not use any of these ports. They are inactive.

The outputs of the video card will be offset in the ports of the motherboard by 90 degrees.

  • Fingerprint reader - Windows 8 - HP Pavilion DV7 connects not

Have searched high and low for a solution to my problem to scan fingerprint - tried instructions on many site without solution.

    Please help-

    I have a HP DV7-6c27cl (Pavilion) - purchased 11/2012.

Updated from 8 to 64-bit Windows to purchase and fingerprint scanner quit job with TrueVision HD webcam.  HP driver update for webcam works perfectly - running.

Software HP SimplePass is responsible for the current 5.20.233a (DigitalPersona) version.

East went to HP and downloaded the new driver (SP58834) for the fingerprint reader.  We sought their updates using the specific model of this laptop and he gave me this driver up-to-date with.  Software starts but no joy on the drive...

Simple pass still said "the fingerprint reader is not connected.  "Connect to the reader."

Earlier today when trying a number of different patches I had a tap of biometrics in my device manager and another in the Panel... on one of my attempts to find a solution, I deleted these.  Is gone now.

Don't know what to do from here.  It doesn't seem to be any solution on the Web Digital Persona site either.

Or the monitor has an audio input jack. Displays the the laptop HDMI cable but without sound. Have I been delivered with an incorrect power adapter or that the sound can be activated through my portable speaker? Help please...

    Hello

The screen itself has nothing to do with external speakers

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=Oq5EJUV9Rqw

and you have to deal with external speakers as of different devices, not a single unit with the monitor. What is the model of speakers? Normally, they should have their own power supply, and you must connect directly to your computer, not through monitor as you can see in any case no port.

Please try to connect the speakers DIRECTLY using the helmet on your laptop. I think it's a promotion complement (or throw in). Speakers and monitor function as two different units.

  • The G7 Pavilion Internet connectivity issues

Help! I'm working on a laptop for a consumer, and I'm stuck hard. The laptop is a G7 Pavilion with Windows 7 64 bit. The machine was given to me under the principle of "The Internet does not work". Properties with wireless and LAN settings say that the laptop is connected and it has Internet access. I can ping outside the machine address and can ping the machine from other devices. It is also a valid ip address according to an ipconfig. However, when you try to pull on a Web site, there is a page "Web site is not found." This happens on IE, Firefox and Chrome. All drivers ethernet drivers, chipset and wireless drivers were uninstalled and reinstalled. They are the latest drivers available on HP website. I even replaced the wireless NIC thinking it's maybe just a bad card. I checked the IPv4 settings and all is good. Think to any DNS problems, I tried using directly the IP to connect to Web pages, but all without success. I'm quite baffled and need advice. Is there BIOS problems that adversely affect this? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Hey Darken_Rahl,

    Hmmmmmmm... interesting.

Are you able to ping to an IP address?

I don't think that you are dealing with a hardware problem, it must be the establishment / OS related.

This really looks like a DNS issue even if IP navigation does not work. You have emptied the DNS? If this isn't the case, please do so now:

    1. Press Windows Key + R.
    2. Type cmd , and then click OK.
    3. Type ipconfig/flushdns and press on enter.
    4. Test.

Also try these in an elevated command prompt:

    1. Start.
    2. Type cmd in the search.
    3. Right click on cmd/prompt commands and run as administrator.
    4. Type netsh I I r r and press ENTER.
    5. Type netsh winsock reset , and press ENTER.
    6. Restart.
    7. Test.

Let me know the results of those.

  • Pavilion dv6: Pavilion dv6 connects to the printer

My computer laptop Pavilion dv6 communicates only intermittently with my printer Epson WF-2540.  Sometimes it does, but more often it doesn't.  The problem seems to be with the USB media, including the yellow icon 'problem' in Device Manager. A new download of supported USB printing does not work as it says that the correct version is already there.   I suspect that the problem is with Windows 10, I downloaded a few months ago.  My laptop are perhaps not fully compatible with Windows 10, as it was purchased in early 2012.  Any help will be appreciated - thanks!

I use an Epson with Win10 and it did NOT work properly until I removed the stuff that MS installed and replaced it with the software and downloaded Epson drivers.

I download and install the drivers and utilities Combo package.

  • HP pavilion v50. connectivity, century link

Windows XP, 'Professional', Version 2002, Service Pack 3

CPU is hp compaq, Pentium D

    Internet through Qwest service

kept losing connectivity, got the new modem. model pk 500 1z

    keep ^ ^ ^ - generally not logged in @ startup - is sporadic

When he arrives, I unplug or just the power cable of the modem OR disconnect ALL cables from the modem; Power supply, Ethernet & DSL - wait 3 minutes, plug back in.  Usually always get re-connected right here.

This could be our PC or their modem?

I hate to call them these people!  (have not called them again from reception & reset the new modem)

    Hi Yowsa,

Here are some debugging tips that might help you question:

    1. The first thing you need to do (if you are not connected wireless) is to make sure that your network cable is connected to the modem or router (given by your internet service provider) to the back of your computer. This is very important because it might make you save a lot of time and effort trying to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place. Also...
    2. Make sure that the led on the modem light is 'ON' (usually a 'Green' light color of connectivity). If the light is not "ON", make sure that the power cord is plugged. If it is connected, then make sure that you have the power in this area. Otherwise, you can assume that the modem is broken.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: Scan lost PC connection

My HP Pavilion is connected to my 2.4 Ghz wireless network, as is my printer.  When you try a scan PC for my printer, I see the message "no computer."  This just started a few days ago. If I scan to email, it works fine. The printer, I reset the IP address and the password.  The computer prints to the printer via the wireless network. In addition, a laptop in another room remotely connects and prints well. I ran two times printing and scanning doctor.  Both times he concludes that the connection is good. Yet, no scanning of the printer.  The box in the toolbar at the bottom of the PC continues to say "Scan of the computer is currently unavailable.  From there I try enable and check the autostart box, but no change. I also downloaded the latest version of the software updated 12/15 no change. However, I found that if I use the HP Scan application on my PC now I have added to my office, it works very well (to the PC).  It's a little more "awkward", but it does the job. I'd rather eat the scan from the printer.  It was quicker and easier. Does anyone know why the printer is unable to 'see' the PC while it is connected to the network and all the functions the scanning started work on PC?

Hi @Javaunoand welcome to the Forums of HP, as you know it is a good place to ask for assistance from members of the community! I'd love to help you with your Photosmart 7520. If I understand your description you can scan when you start scanning from the printer software, but when you try to scan from the front of the printer, the analysis did not make for a lack of connectivity.

Be able to scan from the computer leads me to believe that the connectivity is not the root cause of the problem. However, I found something that might help.

  • HP 8500 has connectivity issues

    Hello!

A friend would get its OfficeJet 8500 a work with everything else.

It has an old desktop PC HP Pavilion and an old laptop Dell Inspiron 5100.

And a router Netgear N900 very nice with ports USB TWO to share printing and storage devices.  Of a value of more than two computers from the router

The router Netgear, HP 8500 has and Pavilion are all accessible walk from each other.   I suspect that radio stations interfere with each other.  The laptop would lose track of the internet from the living room, so I turned off the wi - fi of 8500 a radio and the internet laptop Revit.  Seems to me that we need away radio 8500 a, or move the 8500 or move the Netgear router.

Before we began yesterday the 8500 has worked with the HP Pavilion via direct USB but the Dell laptop wouldn't connect via wi - fi.  I don't think that the 8500 a will work with USB and a wireless connection.  It is well to be one or the other, isn't she?

Thinking that I could disable the 8500 a radio, I tried to connect the 8500 has directly on the Netgear.  You need to install the Netgear ReadyShare app to each computer, if you are going to connect the printer to the router via the USB port.  The Pavilion has accepted the ReadyShare application.  We unplugged the USB of 8500's Pavilion and connected to the Netgear.  A minute later, we had a test page.  Yay!

However, the Dell 5100 laptop would NOT install the app ReadyShare.  He returned with an error on the creation of an exception in the firewall for 7423 UDF Out Port.  I tried to do this but the firewall Windows said that we couldn't because it was already there.  I missed time and ideas, and went home.

There are hundreds of messages on the 8500 has, but most of them focus on a very specific problem.  I hope for some general guidance.  Now I kinda think we Oughta uninstall ReadyShare since both PC software, move the 8500 was in the next room, then just use the settings HP wi - fi connectivity.  If I have this right, when the HP software is properly installed on the desktop & laptop, a print job from a computer through the router to the 8500 a, correct?  And no matter if the old Pavilion is wired to the router, then the Dell laptop uses a wireless connection to talk to the router?

Does this sound like a plan?  Or does anyone have a better idea?  I just need a general game plan, then we can work through the details.

    UPDATE

Success!  There was a little high and low...

We plugged the 8500 a directly printing device to the router Netgear via Ethernet.

Installed the latest driver HP for the desktop PC package, which is wired to the router.  Detection of the printer was simple.  Yay!

The Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop is another story.  We wanted to create the Dell so that he could send a print job through the wi - fi router.  The latest HP drivers would be extracted, then we would get an InstallShield window, saying that the drivers for the Broadcom 440BX (or something like that) were being installed.  WTH?  I've never seen a driver for a device package tries to install drivers for an another device before.  Dell uses a Broadcom chipset for the cable network.  The Broadcom driver install seems to go forward, then we would get a screen terminal for a few seconds, then nothing.  No sign of the HP Installer.  Mgr. device had no question mark next to the of Broadcom Ethernet controller.  I tried again, with the laptop Ethernet cable disconnected from the router, hoping to circumvent the problem of Broadcom.  No dice.

Finally, I tried using the CD provided with the 8500.  He tried not to install the Broadcom drivers, but it didn't connect the printer either.  It seemed to go, then he left came with a window to go to the HP support for help.  I tried the diagnosis of HP printer network.  He confirmed the IP address of the printer, but could not resolve.

He was beginning to look like 0 for 2.  I went on all programs, just to see if the HP software was listed.  It has been.  Just for the heck of it, I clicked on Setup and install.  We went through the same steps as the previous, but it wasn't a detour by the Broadcom chipset.  And the green progress bar stopped twice to copy several files.  When he was done, he said that we were ready to go.  Of course, the laptop Dell sent a test page for the 8500 has through the wi - fi router!

So, it wasn't a cake walk and I would like to know what exactly was going on here, but we got everything to talk to all the rest.
