HP Laserjet 2430TN wireless printing

I have two of the above printers and need to know if there is a map available for this printer wireless so I can communicate wirelessly with it.

If not, is there a way to make this printer wireless via a router or something else?

Thank you!

  • HP laserjet 2430tn: try printing from different trays

    Hello

I installed an HP laserjet 2430tn on a windows 7 64 bit OS. It is connected via a USB cable and is configured as a local unshared printer. I installed the PCL 6 universal driver on the site of HP driver for a 64-bit windows computer 7. I have trouble designating specific options for different trays (it has the 3rd tray installed). I want to have 1 set plate in place (preferably tray 2) to print on letterhead, pre-printed designating, and have bin 3 print all the other print requests (he holds 500pgs). I went into the preferences printer and noticed that all the trays are referred to as letter. Where can I go to activate this feature? and is it still possible? Is this something that I selected in the print screen? Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi thanks for the reply,

I have no doubt what you suggested would work to detect what paper is in each tray. Maybe I didn't word my problem properly, (its hard!) but I found what I really wanted and was able to solve the problem. I just wanted to be able to create the settings and select from the printer selection drop to the bottom of the window. To do this I had to install the printer was again, I appointed two printers regarding what kind of paper they print. Then, for each printer, I changed the default settings to select only the specific status bar I wanted. Now whenever the user goes to print, they can select 'White paper' or 'Head' of the selection of the printer and ta - da, that it works! I left the white paper as a default value.

I don't know if it is the best way to do it, but it works great and I have not seen any errors!

    Thanks again for your help,

  • HP Laserjet CP1025nw: wireless printer

My Hp Laserjet CP 1025nw does not recognize the modem.

    Hi @Novice_62,

I see that you have problems with the printer not recognized on the wireless network. I will definitely do my best to help you.

There is no wireless setup for this model, so we will have to uninstall and reinstall the printer software to set up the wireless back on the printer.

Restore the default settings of the printer.

Reset the printer to factory default settings.

Print a configuration page to make sure that the IP address is back to 0.0.0.0 and the name of the network SSID is disabled.

    Uninstalling the printer software.

I'm going to go off to College with this printer and I was wondering if it works on corporate networks or not. Students currently attending the school say things like gaming consoles have connection problems, so I was hoping that my printer will not have the same problems.

No it will not work on corporate networks. You will need your USB cable.

  • ColorMFP LaserJet M175nw 100: connect printer Laserjet 100 wireless

Due to the recent DDOS acctack on servers DNS of Dyn Corp, it was recommended that all passwords and secret phrases on routers and Internet all devices be changed. I did this on all my devices and I'm successful with the exception of the 100 Laserjet Printer.  When you use the arrow keys on the printer to access the "network" Menu, I get a response indicating 'Access disabled Menu'.  I also have this same answer for the configuration of the system and Service.

So I correctly uninstalled the printer and tried to reinstall it.  In doing so, I am only able to put in place as a USB printer and not a wireless printer.  Trying to set up as a printer wireless Configuration utility see the SSID of the router and then when he's in the Install utility installation fails.  I turned off and unplugged from the computer, printer and router and re-run the routine without success.

In my view, if there is a way to set the default printer, it will disable the block on access to the "network" Menu on the control panel of the printer and then I would be able to configute the operation it's wireless.  I would also appreciate other possible solutions.  Thank you!

  • LaserJet M1212nf: Problems setting up wireless printing

I can set up to print from my laptop with a USB connection to the printer. I want to be able to print when away from my office, so have tried for 2 years, on and off, to get my printer to print wireless. I spent probably 10 + hours trying to get this set up. In the end, I always end up having to reinstall the printer with the same old USB connection.

It drives me crazy. I'm a tech writer for a society of software and very savvy in computer science. However, my non-techie family have all managed to set up wireless printing at their home in 5 minutes or less with different brands of printers.

Here are the steps that I followed, although I also tried many variations, like trying with my USB cable connected or disconnected.

    (1) uninstall the current installation of the printer (USB).

    (2) on the printer itself, make sure that the settings > network settings are the default values.

    (3) using the latest drivers and installation .exe from the HP site, start a new installation of the printer.

    (4) when you are prompted, select "wireless."

RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and indicates that he is there any printer on the network. (Huh? Which network?)

    (5) try again once and this time select "Network Setup."

RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and says that it cannot detect a network.

If the wireless installation requires a network, but network installation does not cause a network to install, I don't know where to go from here.

    (6) I also tried downloading and installing the ePrint utility, but when I'm at halfway through the installation, it tells me that it cannot find my printer.

I am suspicious that my model M1212nf MFP may even not allow for wireless printing. Some info on the HP site says to check a particular button lights up to indicate that the printer is online. This light does not exist on my printer model. However, the parameters of the printer from my physics has parameters such as: "show IP address," etc., which would lead me to believe that it can work wireless.

I have read all the help related HP printer, and there is nothing which explains, in simple language, what are the types of cables, I need to set up a network and the Wi - Fi connection, when to plug them in, what facilities to perform on the many Add - ons available, etc.. I don't know that it's a 5 minute process if there was just a good explanation in the help of the UP of how do. Assistance would be appreciated!

    Hello @SKYdiz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have had problems for the last 2 years and spent many hours trying to configure your HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP for wireless printing. At this point I'll provide more information about it. First of all, are sitting you?

Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf multifunction printer isn't a model wireless printer. The "nf" at the end of the name of the printer is the abbreviation of 'network, fax. Therefore, if your printer is not able to connect to your router wireless, it CAN connect with an ethernet cable.

All you need to do is connect an ethernet cable to the back of your printer to your router. That all devices connected to this router even (whether through wireless or wired ethernet connections) would be able to 'see' your printer on the network and print it on your printer. For more information on configuring ethernet on your printer, please visit: Setup the printer to a wired network in Windows 7 for HP's LaserJet printers.

Now, if an ethernet connection does not work in your specific network, HP makes other Laserjet models that do not use the wireless function. Here are two LaserJet who are black only, multifunction wireless units that resemble your current printer model: HP LaserJet MFP HP LaserJet MFP M225dw Pro and M127fw Pro.

Please let me know if this clears up any confusion. If you have other questions or concerns, I'll be more than happy to help you. Happy new year!

    Hello

HP jetdirect 2700w USB wireless print server support M521 series including M521dn. Your printer has 2 USB ports, one on the front (use for direct printing without a computer) and the normal port is at the back (not flat port, I usually call it as 'round' port' and you need a normal/standard USB printer cable to connect to the Jetdirect 2700w (round end in the printer and the flat end to the Jetdirect 2700w).)

    Hi @Atmasin,

I see that you have trouble connecting the printer to the new router. I want to help you.

I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
    Print a Configuration Page.

If the network name has spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it.

The printer is able to send/receive in the 2.4 ghz band.

If it is set to 5 GHZ network, you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or turn it off)

The WPA key setting must be on AES to work properly not TKIP.

    Multi flow must be enabled.
Router firewall must be open for printer ports.
If you have Mac filtering give you printer hardware to meet the needs of the Configuration page.

You may need to contact your router company to get help to check these settings.

Try to run the Configuration Wizard wireless of the HP software to set up the printer on the network.

  • HP Laserjet P1102W wireless connection problem

I have a P1102W which worked very well up to what it wasn't wireless.  I use an AT & T Uverse 2Wire router and Windows Vista.  I have not changed anything, and one day the network would not recognize the wireless printer.  I've turned off (unplugged) everything and turned on the back without success. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the printer and have just received a message that the network could not connect to the printer.  The printer works when it is connected with a cable, but the blue wireless light just blinks and then turns off - indicating that there are no wireless signal.  All other devices and wireless printers on this network work very well.  HP support was no help, because the warranty had expired 2 DAYS ago!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • HP LaserJet Pro M475: Print Duplex when not intended

I have a problem printing to my HP LaserJet Pro M475DW. While the duplex printing works well, there is one thing that I do deal with. If I have an "even number paged document" everything is good. If there are an odd number of pages AND I want to print multiple copies, each blank page is printed. For example, 10 copies of a single doc page translates into 5 printed pages duplex with a copy of each side of the page. 2 copies printed on a 3 results of document from page to page 1 of the second copy being printed on side 2 of the second page of copy one. I've seen this with Windows 7 PRO 64-bit, Win10, 64-bit. The M475DW is wireless printing, but an access point. Essentially, each blank page is printed on weather or not, it is part of the same document if multiple copies are selected. If I want 10 copies of a doc simple face, I need to print 10 - single prints, one at a time.

Symptoms suggest that the printer driver is probably at fault by not properly inserting commands to eject the last sheet of copy before starting on the first page of the next copy.

'Capture' a sample (sanitized data) print file (using the "print to a file" option in the print dialog) and analysis the file resulting .prn should comply or not this is the case.

You can perform your analysis using the PRN file analysis tool in paraphernalia PCL app, available via http://www.pclparaphernalia.eu

If the driver is at fault, then you will need to check whether or not another pilot is available/appropriate.

If the driver does not seem to be at fault, this probably means a fault of printer firmware; Verify that your printer has the latest version of installed firmware.
