HP Laserjet P4014dn: Duplex Windows 10 Laserjet P4014dn

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and struggled to install the printer driver for HP 4014dn. It wouldn't install from the CD, so I used the driver in the list, product HP which I believe is a generic driver.

This driver does not have the ability to use the double-sided printing feature that's why I bought the printer.

All solutions that would allow me to use the double-sided printing feature?

Somewhere in the driver properties will be a device settings tab and when you click on it, there will be a section for installation options.  You will need to change duplex of not installed to installed and then the duplex option will be available in the preferences.

  • Broadcom netlink gigabit card does not connect to 1 Gbit/s, auto negotiate connects to 10 Mbps

    Hello

I am very satisfied with my purchase Alienware Aurora ALX and happy to be part of this community.  However, I have this problem:

Does not connect to 1 Gbps Ethernet adapter; Here's what I've tried so far:

    (1) confirmed that my router is able to support Gigabit Ethernet.  I have two other devices connected to the same speed (an old PC and NAS).

    (2) when I set the speed and duplex of the adapter auto negotiate, it will connect to 10 Mbps

    (3) I noticed that there is no setting for 1000 Mbps in speed and duplex options.

    (4) I tried 100 full duplex MB, it will connect, but my Internet connection slows down less than 1 Mbps (I'm on a 15Mbps connection and test the other PC it could reach around 14Mbps).

    (5) I then tried 100 MB half duplex, it will also link and my overall network performance is good.

    (6) I have confirmed that I have the current driver from Dell. I've had the computer for 3 days (using windows 7 by the way).

    (7) I tried all ports on my router and confirmed that the side of the router has also been on auto negotiate and not trying to force a specific speed.

I hope someone has a solution or suggestion for this problem.

    Kind regards

    * SOLUTION * thanks in part to the previous article.

Here is the Giga speed solution that worked for my new Dell Studio 1458.  I've read a lot about speeds slow xfer using the Broadcom NetLink LAN connection.

There were two things I did not initially, but were in fact true.

    (1) you must use a CAT 6 line on ALL your machines capable of gigabit.  I though that a good line of Cat5e support giga speeds.  This isn't.

Card Dell NetLink is apparently, some initial negotiations with your router (a bit ' as a fax machine), then after seeing all of your connections.

    It will drop the xfer rate down to the lowest common component (i.e. the Cat5e cable).  And;

    (2) map of NetLink won't give you giga speeds in automatic selection (advanced ethernet properties, speed & duplex).  The speed and the duplex window will never

view 1000 MB!  You can check if your is10/100/1000 connection by double clicking on the icon of your connection to the Local network.

I checked the speed of my connection giga via a test utility and transferring a 200meg file.  The results indicate an increase in the speed of 12 MB/s to 26 MB/s.

These figures do not show a factor of ten speeds increase, we'd all have (so much), but they are in line with transfer rates of others.

    I hope this helps!

  • LaserJet 5 M and Windows 7 64 bit - duplex problem

I have a Laserjet 5 M Postscript with a duplex printing unit in my home network.

Windows 7 64-bit, the duplex printing option is not displayed.

    1. I reinstalled the driver - cool from MS
    2. I manually changed the ' properties/device settings' to indicate the duplex unit is "installed".   I have administrator privileges.
    3. I rebooted the machine.

However, under preferences - or for actual printing, under available - possibility of double-sided printing is not displayed.

    Any help will be appreciated.

My two machines from Vista (32 & 64 bit), with no problems, print double-sided on it.

Alright George. I have discussed this with my colleuges and we agree that this thread would be better suited in the business forum. Since it is a printer and we focus only on consumption patterns. We would do a disgrace to not send you over there.

  • Color LaserJet Pro 200 M251 nw: unable to do manual duplex printing with Windows 10

Using my prior desktop computer that ran from Windows 7, I had no difficulty to do manual duplex printing on my HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251 nw color.  However, having recently bought a new desktop computer running Windows 10, I have more two-sided printing option.  Instructions to Guide the user to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02886939 are unnecessary because I cannot complete step 3, click Finish.  After completing the first two steps by clicking on file - print and then click Properties or preferences, I am not provided with an option to "print on both sides (manually)" as described in the User Guide.  How can I get manual double-sided printing capability on Windows 10?

Usually when you have a driver problem, it is best to find the current driver on the HP website, disconnect the printer from your PC, remove the existing driver, and then install the current driver.

Windows often installs drivers that do not support as many features as the downloadable driver.

  • HP LaserJet P1606dn Professional - do not Duplex correctly when running on Windows Vista 64 - bit OS

I have connected this printer (via USB) to the PC running Vista 32-bit, Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64 - bit, and the printer works fine double-sided printing. He behaves badly only when running under Vista Ultmate 64 bit (SP 2). "Misconduct", it's that it is not duplex correctly when you return to the long side of the book (the normal way you duplex)-it always falls on the short side of the book in any application I try on any type of duplex setting. I installed the latest drivers. I suspect that we have a problem of driver here.

In one of the other HP forums, I noticed that this same issue existed on jet printers to all-in-one HP ink several years (and HP has released patches for those), but I couldn't find any announcement for my laserjet model. Can someone tell me a patch for my model on this issue?

    Hi SteveCT99,

Since then, you indicate that the duplex works fine on all other computers except the computer Vista. Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.

    1. open Control Panel

    2. click on uninstall a program

3 uninstall the 1606dn Laserjet list

    4 restart your computer

    5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.

Don't forget to print a configuration page of the device and make sure that it detects that the duplex unit is installed.  If it does not appear on the configuration of the device.  Turning the unit off, remove the duplex unit, and reinstall making sure that all connections are properly installed.  Start-up the device, print the configuration page and make sure that it is listed.

  • Duplex with our laserjet HP4100 and Windows 7 network printing

We have two new HP with Windows 7 desktop computers and you try to use the front and back of our network service HP laserjet 4100 dtn can you suggest the correct drivers or settings please?

Hi, this might be the question why his does not work.

It's a bug in Windows 7. The duplexor is reported as not installed by default, so you'll have to change that.

Go to the Control Panel, find the devices and printers, then click on it. Then right click on your printer icon and choose 'printer properties '. In the new screen go to the "Device settings" tab and under "automatic duplex print unit" set installation options on installed. Should be on is not installed by default, so change installed, then click on apply. Restart the software and perhaps even your computer and check that duplex printing is an option now.

  • HP LaserJet p2035n: LaserJet p2035n Duplex printing in Windows 7 x 64 error

I added a Windows 7 x 64 computer to the home network. Duplex printing works, but the second manual side does not invert the order of the pages, resulting in a controlled print job. In XP, of course, there was an option to reverse the order of pages when you print the even pages. Any ideas how to make it works with the Windows 7 printer driver?

Well, I finally thought to it after trying various options. The solution is completely counterintuitive, is not yet documented anywhere on Earth, but it works. Here's how:

Select "Print on both sides, flip on short edge pages."

    Press 'print '.

Once the print job is done on the first side, the troubled yellow icon at the top of the printer starts flashing.

Remove the printed pages of the delivery tray and place head downstairs, side white upward, in the manual feeder.

Press the button on top of the printer paper.

Second side will now display in the correct order.

Thank you, HP, whereby we understand such things on our own.

  • LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne problem Duplex - duplex printing on its own from Windows computers.

401dne's all jobs from two sided printing windows different computers even if I did not turn on "Print we Both Sides" in the properties of the printer from any application. I even check it whenever I print. A MacBook Pro with OSX 10.8 also have printing on this printer and is not Duplex no print jobs. Note This duplexing on its own comes in all applications (printing from IE, Office 2013 etc.).

I upgraded to the latest firmware and update the latest drivers to print (complete solution install). A printer connected via network domestic (hard wired ethernet to the router) being accessible by two computers Windows and a Mac.

How can I fix this to the o of Windows computers, I can print on the front of each page only, when I want to.

    Thank you

Problem solved. I contacted HP Support by Chat online and we opted for the PS driver. It works correctly, a face print individual pages, Duplex prints two pages on one. So yes, the PCL6 driver is deficient.
