HP office jet pro 8000: paper feeding problems

Hi all

I have a used HP 8000 printer and it will not pick up and feeding of the paper.

I cleaned the rollers, re started the printer by following troubleshooting instructions...

I also watched the pickup rollers as they go down, and they move into position, .but they won't pick up the paper.

Is it perhaps a fit I could do myself?

Thank you

Kenneth

Thanks for the reply, Jamieson.

I did everything you suggested, ecept the firmware.

But I leave windows 7 download the internet application... I sssume they picked up later?

I have a CD with it, but it's probably outdated...

Anyway... I will try once again and I hope I'll be able to use it and do not have to sell...: {) ~}

  • Office Jet Pro 8000 print quality is poor on glossy or matte paper.

My printer is 2 years old.  Glossy is the verticals a (drum lines?) and greased and never heals.  On matte paper, it is dull and lack of color.  I tried a lot of papers.  Is this a problem of printer or paper?  If it's a problem of paper what paper should I use?  I need to print photos for my work to show to customers within a short period of time.

About the default settings, can you go to print and the following information:

    Default paper Type/media type:

    Default paper size/media format:

    Print quality (Normal/best/best):

Normally, if you do not specify at least the type of paper, the printer thinks it's printing on plain paper. The delivery of the ink is different for each different type of media.

Try to adjust this setting and see if printing comes out better. If it (the problem) you can make a shipped printer scheduled for these parameters, so that whenever you print on paper (insert type/manufacturer of paper here), you can use the preset for auto-set the driver accordingly.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Paper feed problem

New Machine - age for a day. Follow the installation procedure and a tray loaded with good paper 20 # 8-1/2 "x 11". When I send a print job to the printer - the finished sheet is great except for a double crease to the top of the sheet. It's as if she gets stuck, deform the sheet and then it ends. It is not appropriate for an office environment.

This printer has a duplex on the back unit.

Secondly when I put the tray paper for 4 X 6 photo paper and load the tray... it won't pull the paper and printing. The error message says to check the configuration of the status bar and load the paper - I have already done.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Paper feeding problems

Is it possible to manually feed a single sheet of paper in the 8610?  I have sheets simple manual power in my old Lazerjet 4Plus and find it convenient if I use 'good side paper '. (reuse, recycling)

    @Arnot41

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

I don't think you can "unique paper source" in this printer.

Part of the problem could be the way the printer picks up the paper - the mechanism (rollers, power, sensors) - must be "so" or something can glitch and you might get an error any.

Assuming that the paper is the same quality paper that could be used in the printer in any case, it is standard 20 # bnd, white paper, or another high-quality brand HP or equivalent, then the following should work:

You might be able to 'good use' book on top of new paper in the tray from the stack and use it that way.  If the printer not to panic because of the paper with something printed on the back of the paper, it should work.

Stack the paper into the tray with the clean side to print "hidden face".   This means that the 'already printed side' will be visible when the paper is in the tray.

You can try it certainly - if the printer doesn't like it, it will tell you on this subject.

The 8630 Pro OfficeJet print on paper one side "already used" - I just tested.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500: Paper feeding problems

Why my printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 has constant pain to pick up the first sheet of paper, when the 'Print' is selected.  He invariably through a blank sheet and then gives the message "on paper" when the paper is in the tray.  It's same with envelopes.  Frustrating!

The troubleshooting in the here document steps can help solve problems loading the paper in the printer Officejet 8500.  Please go through all the steps in order.

  • Office Jet Pro 8610: paper jam

Several days ago, I bought the 8610 printer. It looked like a good deal. I started printing and then started having paper jams through the accessory duplex with almost every print job. I called, do you have a case number. She told me to unplug the printer to reset. Of course, the printer was operating normally again. Two of print jobs, and then began to paper block again. SO I packed the printer and sent back to Best Buy, replaced by another, the same model.

EU home, she printed on two sheets of paper, and then I got exactly the same error.

Unless I get an easy solution, I'm going back this one as well. I hope that HP did not this one on sale because they know that this is a problem. When I look around, on the web, I see that I'm not the only person who gets rrecurring paper jams. It is very time-consuming and costly. I hope you can help.

2 printers new make, same model and the same problem. Hard to believe!

After I posted I called HP support. They guided me through a process of cleaning the rollers. After that, it seems to be resolved. So far, no other paper not jams.

The printer was brand new. Why she would need a cleaning already is beyond me. It's the printer 2nd in a line that has done this. First, that I returned to Best Buy, but I liked the printer... I wanted to make it work...

We'll see. If it starts to do this again with the 15 days I need to return this product, it will be returned. I have never had a printer before as necessary care when unpacking.

  • Office Jet Pro 8600: problem of authentication on a Android phone net Office Pro 8600

Hi my name is Jack and I get an authentication problem when setting up my Android smartphone version 5.1 Lollipop printing to Office Jet Pro 8600 with the last service Plugin from Google HP play printing store

    Hi Banhien

After two days of frustrating trying to get my Motorola Smartphone connect and print on my HP Officejet Pro 8600, I finally saw the light. He seems to think I didn't need to change my home network (SSID) as suggested by the consumer cell phone support to overcome the problem of authentication. Thinking as the phone OS was ANDROID 5.1, it is the necessary IP to it see the printer. My problem was that I kept entering my IP Phones ANDROID for it to see the printer instead of the IP to printers for the phone to connect to the printer. Once I realized that and I replaced the printer IP in the phone, Bingo, it worked 'awesome' with the print service plugin. I want to thank you for the suggestion to use HP Eprint app that I don't know who would have functioned as if I got the IP address in the configuration without the telephone.

I have just purchsed the HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus and I wanted to print on legal size paper, but I can't figure out how to do this.  Can anyone help?

There is a blue tab at the end of the paper tray.  That push and the plateau extends to the legal size.  Hope that helps.  Now what about this one: I want to charge 11 "legal in Tray 1 and tray 2 and, hopefully, the printer will know what bin to shoot when you print legal documents?

  • Office Jet Pro 8600: office jet pro 8600 clear the display

I have an Office Jet Pro 8600 and need to know if there is a way to fix the screen faded. You don't see the options like print, scan, fax, tools...  It isn't that I know where they are and who's who for the most part.

In addition, scanning is not clear.  Everything is faded.  However, it still prints and faxes by a fine.  I hope I don't have to buy a new All In One Printer.  I finally got most of the glitches and tricks when I have a problem with it.  Is it possible that there is a light bulb needs to be changed or something?  I appreciate your help & feed back as soon as possible.  I use in an office on a daily basis.

    Hey @mere4340,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

I see that you have some problems with the copy and see the display on your Officejet 8600 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute.

If after the above, that you can't always see the screen or copy clear, the printer needs to be replaced because it has no replaceable bulbs in the scanner or the display. You can contact the HP Support by clicking here and filling out the form below to see what options are available.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
