  I understand that you were able to print until recently, and now you see an exclamation point on the screen of the printer. Performing printing and Scan doctor could help. HP printing and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly resolve problems printing, scanning and connectivity, including but not limited to:

  • Connectivity:

    USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

    Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

  • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

  • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

  • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

  • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

  • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

  • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

  • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

  If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to find that the key and the box are both in a green circle.

  • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

  All of a sudden my 4620 will not print in black. I have the latest drivers and it prints fine in other colors. Much ink!

  In fact, I found the true answer to a techie Officemax. Remove the print cartridges and use a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the screens below the cartridge. The ink becomes blocked the screen if the printer is idle for some time.

  The printer can be reset and changed its IP address in the process [that's happened for me]. To fix this, go to the center of sharing of network &--> the map and click on your printer. This will tell you the IP address that your printer is running [the number which should be something like 192.168.1.xxx]. Then go into devices Printers &--> printer--> port--> Port TCP/IP Standard for your printer properties--> configure the Port. So, you want to change the IP address where it says "printer name or IP address" to the new IP address that you have found.

  I have a homegroup via Win 7 Pro.  I have two printers Brother MFC 8220.  These two printers appear like more than 6 different names when I go to add a printer.
  It seems that every time that I add a printer to a new processor on the homegroup, the printer receives an additional name.
  To save confusion, I really want a name of the printer to appear.
  Is it a problem to brother or a Win 7 problem?

  If they are on the network, make sure that you do share not on each computer.

  Sharing is necessary only if the printer is connected to a computer, and only on this computer.

  My printer started printing real small size, to the point where it is difficult to read. It all started after I have my antivirus software for my desktop computer has expired, and my grandchildren were on it without my knowledge.   In Firefox, before opening the print dialog box, select Preview before print on the file Menu. In print preview, chose 100% instead of the scale to the Fit, or select the percentage of the appropriate size you prefer.

  It should look like this;  Adapt to a value of 100% and there are 5 pages as a result of the size of the text.

  

  Compared to; Scale to 'Fit to page', in this case there is only 3 pages that the police is smaller so more fits on a page.

  

  As you can see, the font size is larger when you choose 100% instead of scaling to fit page.

  I'm starting to suspect a problem with your firewall.  Is the firewall disabled Windows (do)?

  In addition, ZoneAlarm has some known issues with the HP printing software.  Learn how to set it up here.

• OfficeJet 4620 3-in-1 printer will not print on the wireless network
