  I have a HP Officejet 6500 709 a.  I want to move it to a location that is not in close proximaty to my modem.  My printer has a wireless radio?  Must be connected directly to the modem?  I have a wireless network in my house, but the only way I can get my printer online is to connect directly to the PC I want to print from.  I'm doing something wrong?

  One option, I examined is locate a Repeater for wireless near my printer and connect directly to the printer.  I'm not even sure that will work, and that you don't want to go through the expense if it is not necessary.

  {edit} After doing further research on this adapter I could find more information. The device works just like using an Ethernet connection (and for all purposes useful, this is one), but sends the signal through your houses of power lines to the other adapter. This should provide a stable connetion due to the structure of basic features and how they work.

  When you try to print from PhotoShop Elements, the correct printer shows (Officejet 6500), but the prints are sent to the fax (fax Officejet 6500).  Do I need to disable the fax feature (I don't use it more) or is it a problem with the software PhotoShop?

  My USB printer scanning is no longer the computer. It worked fine under Vista but on the upgrade to Windows 7 Solution center has crasehd. I tried to download the Solution Center HP full feature, but it seems to download is not available for use. Try to trouble with HP PC Doctor repeatedly tells me I have a problem when control of the center of Solution, but I could not download. "The error message that I receive on the printer is"No. Scan Options.

  I just got a new computer with Windows 8 (64-bit). I downloaded the latest software for my Officejet 6500; What a joke. I tried for three days to install this latest version of the software and it just doesn't work. I cannot install it completely and cannot uninstall it when he out craps. Only on the first try installing it, but Solution Center was empty. Given I have Internet Explorer 10, flash player is preinstalled and is the latest version, so it wasn't the problem.   Well, I finally got a good installation with Service Center work. The problem is in the installation software HP Officejet 6500 (709 a) encountered a fatal error and it is very difficult to overcome.   We have a HP OfficeJet 6500 e-709 has everything in a printer connected via USB cable to a Windows XP computer. This printer works very well on site. It is shared on the network. When install us theprinter on a Windows 7 computer, the printer prints very well. We have also 2 Windows 8 machines connected to the same network, and installing the printer specified above, The Windows 8 machine sees the printer and installs the appropriate and also said available printer drivers. When you try to print we get no error the printer is not available, but nothing prints. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer to make sure any (driver) is fine. Whenever the printer is installed, it shows ready but is not able to print anything.

  We have also a HP DeskJet 930 attached through an USB port on the windows XP machine and when it is installed in the environment of windows 8, we are able to print the test page and other programs as well.

  Any contributions to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  I want to thank Bob Headrick for his suggestion to soak the print head in warm water for 10 minutes.  It was a fantastic idea.  It does not solve the problem with my printer.

  During the upgrade to Windows 7 to 10, I received a message that the printer drivers may not be installed correctly.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the full features of HP software for my wireless Officejet 6500 several times.  No apparent problem until I tried to scan a document.  I get the following error message "cannot scan because another program or computer uses the network of imaging device.  Try again later. "Error information 8, ((0, 18, - 2147467259)) thinking Windows FAX and Scan can be the other program, I disabled it. no change.  HP Print and Scan doctor gives me the same message, "the scan cannot because another program or computer using the networked imaging device.  Try again later. »

  All the features worked before the upgrade to Windows 7 to 10.  There is no other computer the device.  The printer will scan using Windows FAX and Scan, but the HP scanning features are much better in my case.

  Do not remove anything else then the folders I mentioned.

  To correct the unable to connect to a web server error. I'd start by power cycling the router and the printer. If still we get the error that I will then try to put a static DNS server built-in web printer (EWS).

  To power cycle the router:

  1. unplug the router (most do not have a power button) and then put
  the printer off using the power button
  2. wait 30 seconds
  3 plug in the router, wait until it is completely upward and the operation.
  4 turn on printer
  5. after the printer is completely top and operational reattempt to connect to web services

  If after that, you still get the error message, I had put the static DNS. To do this:
  1 get the IP address of the printer, and then make a browser (IE, Chrome, any browser you want) and enter
  IP address of the printer in the address bar. This will bring up the SEWS
  2. search for the network titled tab and click on it
  3. then click on IPv4 in the left column, wired / wireless depend on the connection, if connected by Ethernet
  Choose wired, wireless select wireless
  4. when loading this page watch the second part entitled 'Configuration of the DNS addresses' change this radio

I'm assuming that, given that the printer is already selected for the wireless, I thought that I'll be able to see that when I add a printer. When I tried to add the printer its asking me a URL. I tried to get the printer Network Setup page portable officejet 6500, but the URL does not work. I need to install the CD that came with the printer portable officejet 6500 on my offcelaptop to make it work? Any help would be appreciated.

  You will need to go to your settings of the printer.

  1. Select network settings.

  2. Select the wireless configuration wizard

  After perform you these steps, you need to get on the computer and to update the IP address. (It would occur on the printer on the Network Configuration Page).

  Then go to the computer.

  1. click on Start Menu

  2. Select all programs

  3 select the HP folder

  4. Select the name of the computer

  5. click on the IP ADDRESS UPDATE or wireless configuration.

  6. put the new ip address in the place.
