HP Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-in-One - E710n I want to print on a standard size postcard

I want to print on a standard USPS postcard (3.5 x 5.5 "), but I don't know if I can do it. The manual says we can't print out a 3 x 5. I don't know how to load the postcard. When I push the medium on its back where the paper goes... He just keeps flowing back in the recesses of the printer, which would obviously result in a horrible jam. I certainly don't want to cause a jam. Anyone know if this is possible?

Hello

Yes, the #24 of the next book page shows you how:

Good luck.

Until recently, I noticed that it takes a good 45-60 seconds to print. From the moment that I hit print say at the start of the printing printer. Real bummer, but today I tried to scan and got an error "Scanner communication cannot be established... "I've uninstalled all the drivers and the printer and reinstalled same thing any suggestions I have to be able to scan.

    Hey alsmith1964,

It seems that the network communication between the PC and the printer has become lost or locked up.  The first step, I would suggest in this case is to perform a cycle of power to all devices in the network circuit.

Follow these steps to reset your printer HP, your router and your computer.

    1. To turn it off, press the power button on the HP printer.
    2. Unplug the power cord at the back of the HP printer.
    3. Unplug the power cord from the wireless router.
    4. Turn off the computer.
    5. Wait 30 seconds.
    6. Reconnect the power cable to the wireless router.
    7. Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is completely ready.
    8. Turn the computer on.
    9. Wait for the computer to recharge.
    10. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the HP printer.
    11. Turn on the printer.

I would like to know if it is able to get the question to be resolved,

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-in-One - E710n Flashing lights, do not print

It doesn't matter what I do, blinking lights on the printer.  The machine does not print and gives an error every time I try.  I had this problem last week and I cleaned my printer cartridges and the holder and that fixed it, but now the cartridges will move yet for me to check out them.

    Hi Katze407,

It seems that the printer can be stuck somewhere. Here are two guides to help you try to find the problem:

  • Wireless for HP OfficeJet 6500 a configuration more all-in-One on Ubuntu 10.04

I bought a HP OfficeJet 6500 has more all-in-One CN557A, I want to use with ubuntu 10.04 64 bits as a wireless network printer.
Before, I bought, I checked the compatibility on www.hplipopensource.org and www.openprinting.org, and everything was in order.
The machine is detected automatically and fully functional when connected with a usb cable, but I failed to operate as a wireless printer.
    That's what I did:

I configured the printer on the network (through the interface of the printer), and it connects. It prints a 'Wireless Network Test report', and everything works. I can ping the local ip address and access it via the browser. HP eprint also works.

I installed hplip 3.11.10 and dependencies manually. I did this because the default hplip in ubuntu 10.04 did not recognize the device.

I ran 'hp-check', who gave without errors or warnings:

    tjoff@MEK-403-jakbo-01: ~ $ hp-check

    2. performance check (r or - run) mode: use this mode to determine if a distribution
provided package (.deb, .rpm, etc.) or a supplied HPLIP tarball already built
the appropriate dependencies installed to run successfully.
    3. the two and run-compilation mode check (b or - both) (by default): this mode
check the two cases above (the two dependencies of compilation and execution).

A friendly soul on ubuntuforums pointed out, that the wireless configuration is necessary only if the printer is NOT connected to a local area network (W). • How to connect a USB modem fax when the phone line is connected to a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus 4 - all - in-one?

So I have a HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus (4-all-in-one) that I normally use to fax documents for commercial purposes. I became more and more tired for the first printing of documents directly from my computer to be faxed to another office. It is a waste of paper, ink and time. For this reason, I would like to set up a fax modem so I can use Windows Fax & Scan on my Gateway with Windows 7 computer so that I can directly fax documents from my computer to the recipient fax. The only question is, I have a phone line that I use for my fax and which is directly connected to the fax machine, but I understand a Faxmodem USB also plug into a phone line as well. How can I configure the USB fax modem without compromising the current telephone line attached to my fax machine? Do I need a splitter? I can still use my fax machine to receive faxes and fax all paper document not found in my computer (for ex. documents I received by mail).

It is always profitable read the documentation provided with the device.  If you had, you would know that the software provided with it will allow you to fax documents directly from your computer without printing it and scanning first.  Download the software (and the user's guide - page 63- here.

I really want to THANK you ALL for READING THIS & YOUR TIME. So please help if you can...

    and ideas?

    Thank you, xxVEGASxx

    * xxVEGASxx *.

You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer.

Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list and you will have to scroll down to see it.

Which erases all settings, including the password for the printer.

To reset you describe is probably the one mentioned in this article:

    http://resetprinters.com/how-to-reset-the-HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-premium-all-in-one-printer/

but it's probably a deeper reset that you really need anyway.

  • My HP HPE desktop computer can no longer communicate with my OfficeJet 6500 e7 n - z all-in-one

My HPE Office has Windows 7 64 bit desktop and OfficeJet 6500 n - z e e7 are wired and fine until this morning when I downloaded and installed a "Coupon Printer' programme of work. When I tried to print a coupon, it wouldn't print. There is no error message. It just wouldn't print.

Then I noticed that installing printer Coupon had changed the default printer for the fax printer. After that I changed the default value for the 6500 regular he still wouldn't print. I ended up uninstalling the printer Coupon progam but that did not help. The Toolbox of the printer, I learned that "the computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the printer.  The proposed solution was to try to update printer drivers. When I tried it, but the "HP Update" window only offered 'HP Photo création' software, no driver updates. I tried to restore the system to the two most recent previous restore points, but that doesn't work anymore.

What must I do to re-establish communications between Office HPE and the OfficeJet 6500?

    Thank you

    Rocco

    Hello Rocco,

The HP All In One remote saves scans to an internal folder.

For easy access to scans, you can click the settings of the app (the icon in the top right 3 points) and then select settings.

Select sharing, from there you can choose to synchronize Documents and scans will be automatically uploaded to iCloud, then it will be available in your Photos app on the assumption that it is defined on the same iCloud account.

    See you soon,.

Ok. Well I don't believe that you are able to reverse the colors directly on the printer. Once the image has been saved using this color format, you will need to reverse the image on the computer first, then the corrected file printer.

You can invert the colors using the preview. Once you open the image in preview if you select "Tools" then "Color Adjust". Here you will be presented with slidered for black and white levels. To "reverse" all colors, you need to do is the slider level black all the way to the right, then drag the white slider completely to the left.

Let me know if it works for you!

  • HP ENVY 5644 e-all-in-one Prin: I want to print in black and white

    Hello

I wanted to print in black and white but still my printer print in color when there is a picture in the paper, it's really annoying because when I go to the properties of the printer I press black and white or black press ink only then when I press on save, I'll be back in the printer properties to find her back to color No matter how many times I put it in black and white it goes back to color. I tried pressing black and white and not return to the printer properties, but it still prints in color. Also, I changed my default settings of the printer in black and white through the control panel and tap Save. When I go into Control Panel, its saved printer properties such as black and white by default, so that's good. But for some reason when theres color of text or an image on the page I want to print, I can not change to print in black and white, keeps coming back to color.

    Please help me!

Hello @Matthew002, hope you are well!

Thank you for joining the HP support forums, I would like to help

I understand that you are having problems when printing in black and white and also the printer goes "offline".

Going through your post, this could be a problem with the printer drivers. In this case, we might need to uninstall the drivers and re - install the same.

Now try to change the printing preferences:

    • Go to control panel - devices and printers - give Envy 5640 right-click and select Printing Preferences.
    • In the pop-up window, click on the 'Advanced' button - check for printing in grayscale option. Make sure it is turned on

PS: Your printer support mode single cartridge. So if you want to completely stop color printing you can get out the color cartridge and use only black.

Let me know if this helps. Good luck!

    See you soon

  • HP Officejet 6500 has plus: HP Officejet 6500 a more impossible to connect to the server

My printer can detect my wireless network, but does not connect to it. Problem started with my MAC a few months ago, but he persists even with my new HP laptop.

I thought I could have network problems, so upgrade my router (Linkys at Linkys))... still problem. Comcast upgraded my router (Linkys multifunction ARRIS) again and the problem persists.

I tried cycling power offshore for the router and the printer.

Even my scanner picks up signals from the printer. I don't know where's the disconnect?

    Help, please

    A few ideas

If you have not done for awhile, you may download and install a new copy of the software full functionality.  Reference: install the full features software - printer

If the printer is located where you can do so, you could try a wired connection to the router.

You could try the printer of the assign a static IP address.

Make sure that there is at least 1 meter / 3 feet between the printer and all wireless devices you want to connect.  Too much is as bad as too far away...

Paw through all ideas / suggestions / information in the exceptional User Guide of this printer - network setup Section starting on Page 222.

Try to use as not only a static IP address, but also a hard to connect to your ISP DNS information.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus - E710n: error message [OFBBD0]

In my view, that the OS is Windows x 64. My situation is that I can no longer print from my iPad or phone. I can still print without any problem in my laptop. When I try to my tablet or phone I get the message that it is in contact with the printer (which is normal), then an error message is displayed. Error [OFBBD0]

    Hey @FerFer,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I understand that you are unable to print from your iOS devices using your HP Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-in-One - E710n. I want to help you with this.

What you describe, it seems that you use AirPrint when the error message appears.  With this printer, you have three ways to print from iPhone / iPad. The most common method is called AirPrint. For your information, "AirPrint is a solution of mobile printing included with Apple's iOS v4.2 and later mobile operating systems.

iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users can print wirelessly on any HP ePrint-enabled printer which is connected to the same local wireless network. Most of the released HP printers in 2010 and later support AirPrint.
