HP Officejet Pro 8600 printing very very slow - network printer

Print very slowly.  For a document of several pages that can be printed a correct page followed by letters and random symbols on the following pages printed on a line at the top of the sheet of paper.

Printing test page OK.  Using the Windows 7 on an Apple Mac operating system.   Impression was carry out well so far.  Tried stop, check the cartridges etc.  Nothing seems to work.

I am using Bootcamp.  However this communication of computer printer works perfectly for months until this time.  I have tried everything, checked everything.  Ensured that I cancelled all printing of all laptops (our printer is connected via WiFi at home (Home Office).  Finally, I pulled out the mechanism of double-sided printing see if paper jams exist.  No jam.  Moved to the printer across the room, small room of 6 feet.  Plugged into an outlet different.   Restarted my computer under Mac OS, operating system, and print.  Print perfectly.  Restart Windows via Bootcamp and he continued to print perfectly.   Lost in the morning to try to make it work! But happy now. Can't really say that one thing has got to work.  (perhaps restarting the computer?)

    How can I fix?

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

When you say 'LAN', are you referring to the network or you try to share the printer on the network?

How is the printer connected? (Ethernet/WiFi)

If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 PRINTING GIBBERISH AT WINDOWS STARTUP

    Hi all!

My name is Steve and I have a question. I apologize in advance if I'm duplicating this question from another thread.

Our office has 3 computers connected to a router. The HP Officejet Pro 8600 is connected to the network. There is a problem with 2 of the calculated.

The question is then 2 3 computers (1 running XP Professional, 1 running Windows 7 Professional are booted up (off) to the printer start printing gibberish and going to print until its cancellation.) Printing will start until Windows has loaded the login window (user account screen).

Any suggestions? The major functions of printer for everything else.

    Hello

We use the same previous printer cable. However, we can certainly try another cable. There is no problem printing with any of the programs that we use with the exception of one of them, (known compatibility issue).

At this point, we don't know if the gibberish that prints to the windows startup is a problem with windows or perhaps the network.

I see that you have found one black vertical line when using the ADF. With a few steps, we should be able to solve this problem.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Printer does not print in color

I just got the color cartridges refilled at Costco. Now, my printer does not print in color.  I printed out a diagnosis and cartridges are showing that they are full.  The actual color of magenta is a deep rose, so I know that some of the magenta is crossing. Cyan (blue) and yellow printed black on diagnostic tests.  I know that Costco filled cartridges with the appropriate color because I can see the color on/in the cartridge.  Suggestions on what to try? • Need help to set up officejet pro 8600 and scanning to the network on OSX Lion folder

    Hello

I'm trying to implement my Officejet Pro 8600 more scan to a network under OSX Lion folder.  I have correctly set up the printer otherwise (and can scan and flown from my Mac).  I created SMB sharing as described in the documentation.  My only question is what to enter in the Web server of the printer when it asks for the network path of the shared folder.

For example, I have the following shared folder:

    / Users/me/Documents/scans/Durable goods received

on my computer that has name is:

    My iMac

    has an IP address:

    172.16.1.4

wonder web server of the printer a network path (for example: \\mypc\sharedfolder) but I do not know how to translate my way above in the correct format.

    I tried the following:

    AFP://172.16.1.4//users/me/documents/scans/durable------Goods\ recipes

    but he doesn't like it.

    I also tried:

    Recipes of \\172.16.1.4\Users\bvz\Documents\scans\Durable of goods.

    Nothing helps.

Thanks for any help or ideas!

    Hello

First of all, make sure to install the latest firmware for the printer.

SMBX (used by Lion sharing protocol) support added lately, and the device fails to access any forlder Lion shared with an older FW version:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02919168

You have shared the folder durable goods received ?

If so, I guess the correct path would be as follows:

    \\172.16.1.4\Durable goods received

Please let me know of any changes,

    Shlomi

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Print margins are off, slow and noisy printing

I have problems printing my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. When I am able to print the process is extremely slow and the printer made a lot of noise before and during printing. • How are added to the HP Officejet Pro 8600 printing solution Center

The center of printing solutions shows my Photosmart C5580.  No idea how to add an OfficeJet Pro 8600?

Shlomi Hi and thanks for a quick response.

I had hoped to add 8600 Solution Center as an HP upgrade / download link in the menu Wizard printer you mention using the icon, re - set the default printer for the "8600 Fax.

He also changed the list of this menu screen to be only four: HP printer Asst (but does nothing when a click), Set Prefs, see what printing and the printer to customize.

Previous menu, as you no doubt refers, had several printer features that included all submenu links functions, I used (including to scan a doc, preferences, etc.).  Frustrating...

After uninstalling and reinstalling, tweaking, etc, I always have this quick menu by clicking on the icon of tune.  I have tried different methods of scanning as the right click on the printer in Control Panel devices, but the scanning from which lead to a horrible list of basic functions, a confusing list of formats, etc.

Finally, I did a scan in the screen menu of the printer who made a point "scan" in the Start Menu, I right click it to pin that on the Start Menu, then created a new shortcut on the desktop with the path to him... and now the icon / printer works to get the menu scanning.  Phew!

About the loss of the Solution Center is regrettable.  Very handy tool to do the various tasks and the refinements of a scanned document that do not exist in the limited functions / buttons on the 8600 scan menu results.

At the same time and while I'm... To the laserjet subject large workhorse of HP LJet 1320, several other positions and all forums have problems loss of functionality after passage from XP to Win7.  I finally got all but one device works (PCL6/5th, printing on both sides, etc.), but the pilot is only 600 dpi quality close to the project, instead of the prior 1200 dpi (especially good for forms, thin fonts, etc..).  Which is just a discharge on the technology and support for the products that brought me as a customer to use HP in the first place.

Thanks again for your reply and your suggestions.  Ready to try anything to solve the so-called reliable downloads / upgrades.

    Best regards...
