HP Officejet Pro 8625: Computer intermittently loses its connection to the printer HP 8625

I managed to install the 8625 printer using the wireless connection. I can print the 8625 as well as the printer of HP 7520 to my wife who is on the same network. Later in the day, without the help or make changes to the computer or the printer, I can't connect to the 8625, get the message "Microsoft cannot connect to the selected printer, the 8625.» I can always plug the 7520. I use printing HP and doctor Scan which solves the problem immediately, tell everything out very well. In addition, I am not sure that my 10 Windows is 32 or 64 bit.

Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

You can download and install the software FULL of HP printing features to win 10?

You can consider using a static for your printer IP address if it is constantly losing connection.

  • Computer intermittently loses its connection to the printer

I recently installed a Photosmart HP6510 on my wireless network, but the computer continues to lose the connection to her pinter and it seems to affect my Internet browser - shutdown and rebooting usually works, but it's a problem very embarrassing - can anyone help?

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • The computer is not automatically connect to the printer

Sorry, I don't know exactly where to put this question, looking for any help I can get.

Hi, I work with someone who has a range of printers hp 2035 connected to a desktop computer running windows vista. another person has a laptop running windows 7. It obviously takes the laptop home, and every morning when he connects to his computer laptop back to the network it can see the printer, but not to print on it. HOWEVER, it can print a test page, and after that, it is good to go, until his laptop computer goes idle, date to print a test page to print again to it.

Looks like the computer is not automatically connect to the printer, but idk a permanent solution, guessing just a bit at the moment and it made the test page thing, but is a bit of waste paper right? any help would be appreciated.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830 hangs when it is connected to the network

I just pick up a Pro OfficeJet 6830. I installed the ink cartridges and it seems to be able to print copies and test pages, but I can't seem to connect to my network. Here is what I tried:

    Using the Wireless Setup Wizard

I selected my network in the list and entered my WPA key. It says it tries to connect, then the following occurs:

1 briefly press (for less than one second), a screen will appear showing that it has successfully connected to the network.

    2. Press briefly (for less than a second) the screen flashes blue with an icon of 'power' and 'B8B2A4F8' text (which I assume is an error code).

    3. the screen display changes to "printer error: there is a problem with the printer.» "Turn the printer off, then on.

    4. after restarting the printer, he complains that he has not been arrested properly.

Any other attempt to connect gives the same results.

    Ethernet connection

If I turn on the printer when connected via Ethernet cable to my network, after about 10 seconds it crashes as described above (steps 2 and 3) without doing me anything at all.

I also tried a "Hard Reset" (i.e. unplug the printer for 60 seconds, and then it turning it back on again). This made no difference whatsoever.

I managed to get it to connect to a WiFi hotspot on my laptop (and I checked the firmware updates, but unfortunately there is none available), it seems that there is something of my network that do not have the printer. I have no idea what this could be, however. Someone at - it ideas?

    It solved!

I spent a bit of time on the phone with HP tech support and the guy could not actually solve the problem for me but it helped prove that the hardware network printer works OK. I could connect the printer directly to my PC via Ethernet, then ping and access the built-in web server.

It occurred to me that perhaps the problem was related to DHCP, because the printer broke immediately after the connection to the network. My router is an Asus RT-N66u with custom firmware (version Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48_3) and I could see the router newspaper that he was sending a DHCP acknowledgement to the printer just before he died.

So, here is what I did to solve the problem:

1 turn off the DHCP server on the router.

    2. on the printer, operated the network icon on the homescreen (at the Middle bottom) wireless.

3 typed down "gear" icon to the left (settings).

    4 typed "wireless settings".

    5 typed "Assistant wireless configuration".

6 selected my wireless network and entered the WPA key. This time, no crash, but he did not get an IP address assigned (obviously).

    7. back in 'Wireless Settings', I typed in 'advanced settings '.

    8 typed 'IP Settings'.

    9. tapped "manual (static).

    10. enter in the details for my network - yours will probably be different, but I entered in what follows:

IP address: 192.168.002.201 (I chose this because it is outside the range of addresses, the router for DHCP problems).

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    Default gateway: 192.168.002.001

    DNS address: 192.168.002.001

    11 hit 'apply '.

12 re-enabled the DHCP server on my router.

    And now it works!

    Paul.

    Hi @parkwood,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I see when you turn on your new HP Officejet Pro 6830 you get an error message "paper tray is open close the drawer to continue." I would like that perform you a Hard Reset:

I recommend to remove the ink cartridges and perform a power reset:

Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

Now you can go ahead and start printing HP and doctor Scan > www.hp.com/go/tools

-It has been designed by HP users troubleshooting and problems characteristic needed to solve many common problems encountered with HP print and scan products related to Windows computers.

If please answer and let me know the result, because your printer is new, I suggest you contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836 that you would still be in warranty. • HP Officejet Pro L7600: Can you please tell me if the printer HP Officejet Pro L7600 is able eprint?

I try to print from a tablets KindleFire HDX and Samsung Galaxy Tab on my HP Officejet Pro 7600 but have not found a way to do it.

    Hello spikeforce,

HP Officejet Pro L7600 is NOT capable of eprint.

However he manages wireless printing. All you have to do is to have the printer connected to your wireless network.

Also to connect your Samsung phone / tab and Kendle to your wireless network. You need a HP printing application to print using Samsung tab.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625: Scan to computer & printer HP Assistant

I got a new 8625 Pro of OfficeJet and struggled with the configuration of the analysis feature.  I ran the software print and Scan doctor, who said he fixed a few problems, and now I can finally scan my computer.  However, I still have a problem with scanning the computer to the printer.  When I try to scan to the computer, there is a message on the printer screen that indicates that this feature must be enabled in the Printer Wizard.  However, when I open the Printer Wizard and click on manage the scan to the computer, nothing happens - the software simply does not.  Other selections in the Printer Wizard seem to work very well - just not this one.

Hi thanks for dogster , for getting back to me!

I appreciate you trying these steps. I know that you have reinstalled in the past, but there is a specific set of measures, I would try.

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Please let me know how it goes!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625: HP8625 sleep mode/wireless network connectivity

I recently bought an OfficeJet Pro 8625 and it worked fine for a few days, with everyone in the House, being able to print wireless connection network (Verizon FIOS via an Airport base station).  However, now it won't keep (or restore) a Wi - Fi connection after going to sleep.

I can get the printer to work, if I turn it works, then immediately print (but only one machine... If I need to print from two different computers, I have to restart again to use the second computer).

This is the case for all computers in my house - using several OS X (El Capitan, Mavericks and Snow Leopard) and the other with Windows 10.  I tried the troubleshooting tips that I could locate, and the firmware is up to date.

I should be able to send a document to the printer from anywhere in the House, from any computer, without walking to the printer and restart it first.  A network printer should be sprained able himself, reconnect to the wifi and print jobs sent to it, but mine doesn't.

How can I solve this problem?

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto off" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work only on the 2.4 Ghz band.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit. Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 6 feet, independently of the other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Now last thing to do once everything above has been tried and you still have the same problem, completely uninstall and delete the printer and its software.

Use http://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php and powerful Scan at the end.

Now go back and reinstall the drivers and full software on the HP website.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8625: Update was downloaded now, when I hit print I get 'Send Fax, HP OfficeJet Pro 8620' window

My HP OfficeJet Pro 8625 newly purchased printer was printing fine until I downloaded an update online. Now when I try to print I get the "Send Fax - HP OfficeJet Pro 8620" window. I have not selected the correct option on the update. I do not use nor I set up the fax on my computer or a printer. How can I fix this problem?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625 fax number Spooling

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8625 and I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I only had this printer for a little more than a month.  Everything worked very well and works very well.  Recently, I tried to send a fax using the HP software that I have many times and the fax is stuck on the queue.  I ran HP print and Scan doctor and he tells me that I have not all installed software so I followed its instructions to install the software, restart the computer.  Same questions, I went to the HP site and used the troubleshooting guide and it passes all the tests I have them go directly from the printer.  I have no problem receiving faxes and their coming to my computer but it does not send as taken on the queue.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for letting me know. Let's try a few more:

I recommend you to uninstall the software on your computer by following this document HP here. Once this operation is complete, clean your Temp folder on your computer by following this document here.

Now, perform a clean boot on your computer by following this Microsoft document here. This will eliminate the conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program. Then you can install the full features on the site of HP software here.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625:8625 Wi - Fi

    Impossible to get my Officejet 8625 connect wirelessly. What I've done so far;

    -Verify correct network password

    -Confirmed correct network

    -Rebooted router

-Confirmed router IS NOT having Mac ID filtering on

-Confirmed router works with several other devices

-printer to reset to the factory settings

-After 4 hours chat and phone with support for HP, without resolution, HP suggested I return printer.

-returned printer to store and another of the same model purchased.

Printer still refuses to connect wirelessly.

It seems unlikely that I managed to buy 2 defective printers in a row but because the router works perfectly with other devices, and I can't find the router settings that seem like they would be a roadblock, I'm beginning to wonder. But I also accept the probability that the problem is a user error. If anyone has any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi Allan,

Try to update the firmware of the printer.

You can either connect to your router with an Ethernet cable and then follow these steps:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8625-e-all-in-one-printer/5367611/model/5385111/document/c04083718

Alternatively, you can connect with a USB key and run the following tool to update the firmware:

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL54582/bi-131774-3/OJP8620_R1502A.zip

Then, unplug the cable and try to reconnect.

If the persits even I suggest updating the firmware of your router, as I can see by the newspaper liberation he includes security enhancements that can be useful for such a.

The firmware can be found below, I highly recommend you do from a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable and not wireless to avoid possible.

Its firmware can be found below, get and install the latest firmware which is the version 1.1.29 (Build 162351).

For any Wizard, you can contact Linksys support:

    http://support.Linksys.com/en-MEA/support/routers/EA6500

Once you're done restart your router by plugging its power and try to connect again.

If it persists, I suggest to contact the router service provider and check the following:

    1. Ensure that the router broadcasts a 2.4 as a SSID of 5 GHz with different names, manage them only the printer bandwidth of 2.4 GHz.
    2. Check that the password of your router is defined as WPA rather than WEP (Shared) that is not supported by the printer as an example.

Please let me know the results,

    Shlomi

My HP Officejet Pro 8625 has stopped working with my Windows 10 HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC (wireless) after update Version 1607 KB3194496.

My computer can still print to our HP 8600 printer wireless.  We have another laptop (HPEnvy-windows 10) and we can always print on a printer (8600 & 8625) via wifi with this portable HP Envy.

I tried to connect the 8625 to my router with an ethernet connection.   The process of "add a printer" cannot find the printer.

The printer IS definitely on the wifi network.

I deleted the printer software and reinstalled.

    Hello

I found the answer to that by trawling for ever, it IS a HP PROBLEM, ARE YOU listening TO HP?

the fact is that the printer driver will agree that a system administrator to print from some programs, Adobe, Office, Wordpad there more, but if you apply this fix, they will print

go to the HEART control PANEL > USER ACCOUNTS > CHANGE USER ACCOUNT SETTINGS.

Drag the slider to the bottom never notify, and then restart your computer.

    works on windows 7

Indeed, you raise your account to an admin sys, but if HP has got their act together, they would sort this issue, because it is everywhere in their forums.

I understand that the wireless is out in the middle of the night and since that time you could not reconnect the printer.

If you encountered problems with the wireless did you click on the "Reset" button on the router? This restores the factory settings, that would have removed the password wireless. If so, please reconfigure the router settings before reconnecting the printer to the wireless network.
