HP Paviion g62266sx: low capacity

Hello

Well recently my system gave me error I run low space drive d. I was surprised as I havn't used a large part of the space. I went on the properties of the drive and it shows I've used 86 97 GB GB, then I selected all files (hidden and unhidden both) and check the capacity it shows only 60 GB. Now I am confused where is extra 20 + GB used?

I really need help.

Thank you MNUH

Ok. Now I see what you did.

The suggestion I made above does not apply to your laptop, because you have modified the original partitioning scheme. Thank you that was shared with me in your first post, but this isn't a big deal.

It's your laptop, so the choices are to do.

Looks like you have deleted partition recovery which is normally D: partition and created more music. I hope that you have created a recovery media before that you did. If you never meed to reinstall the operating system, the support of recovery will be very useful.

You will need to enter the Local D: drive partition and move some files from there to your games E: partition or system C: partition. The choice of files and where to move them is up to you. Continue to move files until you have at least 15% of the total capacity of the free D: partition. Once you have done this, the warning message will disappear.

  • What can I do a low capacity battery?

This battery has literally lasts 1 MINUTE. Windows does not detect the lack of capacity. What should I do?

    Buy a new battery.

I don't know what you mean by "Windows does not detect the lack of capacity".  If you mean that the system has crashed just off the coast instead of detect battery low/reserve/critical levels that you set in power options, then that may just be a symptom of the particular failure path that follows you the battery.

For example, my oldest battery accidents off the power as soon as it gets to about 23 percent of left power - so I had to increase reserves & low levels above that [I chose low 30% & 25% reserve].  My new battery is happy to have a critical level of 3%, which means that I get as much out of it as possible, but when even rest time to save the files and then allow the system to Hibernate / connect to AC.  I continue to use my old battery but should interpret the alert of level of reserve battery in this sense to back up files and hibernation / immediately connect to CA.

  • Low capacity of recovery disc

    Hello

I have a laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium (I think that Windows 7) OS.

I get messages on a not enough space on my recovery disk E.  I tried the disk cleanup options, but try to delete old restore points which I think is what is using the space doesn't seem to work.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  It goes same for another laptop where the D drive is the recovery disk.

    Hello

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. If you want to reinstall Windows from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, disk cleanup, etc.

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    See you soon.

  • # Cycle path battery too low. A better way to know?

    All,

I bought my w520 end October 2011 and had since then travels enough to know that 183 cycles is too low. Well, there may be a way they plan a 'cycle' that affects it. My battery is the unit that extends about 3/4 inches in front of the rear edge; I forgot the name or designation.

I felt, without any scientific evidence, I had shorter working sessions on the farm in recent months. I know that I get a better time on Optimus - I count in my expectations.

With the previous Lenovo ThinkPads, I bought a second battery and will do so soon, I guess, but I was surprised by the County.

    Reflections on counting accuracy?

    jonathan7007

    Hey there jonathan7007,

Thanks for watching with me, your experience with your sounds of machine very well. I can't 100% say as I am not a user w520, some of the members of our community may be able to share their experiences. I look forward to hearing the results you get from your test.

Another thing to consider is the performance of a battery meter reset, but really only in case you feel the gauge is inaccurate, has a lower capacity or start having load problems.

  • Replacement of the VSAN disks to upgrade capacity VSAN

    Hello

Host with 1 flash, 5 magnetic disks all handsets in VSAN and the host has no more space for additional drives. Is the supported way to improve ability: remove the disc from lower capacity from the diskgroup, evacuate data, replace them with higher-capacity drive, wait for the magic, replace the next smaller capacity disk, etc., etc.?

When I insert the higher capacity drive and add it to the Group of disks, is there a process I need to manually trigger to release data on the new disk?

How can I track the progress of the evacuation of the data on a disc? And how can I track the spread of the data to the new drive?

    Gabrié

Hello, I think that you have the correct process.  Remove the disk from the web client, physically, remove the disc, insert the new drive.  VSAN is assigned to records of claim self, that should be it.  If you do not have to manually add claim the drive.  As you noted, waiting for data to be moved each time before moving.

If you have vSAN 6, you can run a proactive rebalancing to redistribute the data.  http://cormachogan.com/2015/04/22/VSAN-6-0-part-9-proactive-re-balance/

  • Current recommendations to replace my aging STARTUP DISK in my Mac Pro 4-core (mid-2006) 2.66 GHz?

    Hello old friends!

Common sense, to the age of my current BOOT DRIVE (320GB) and the recent difficulties of start-up tell me I should replace the DISK to BOOT in my Mac Pro 4 - core (mid-2006) 2.66 GHz ASAP - in fact, immediately

I do NOT need more capacity.  Currently I have a 320 with 225 available GB boot drive.  However, I do understand that there may be nothing in this range of low capacity available out there more.  I was buy new disks for the other three bays, and they are 1 and 2 TB of disk.

Should I buy a big for my boot drive?  Should I consider a SSD?  I want to less than $100 or more.

Living in a fog of permanent brain due to the M.E., encephalomyelitis myalgic for years and not confident in my ability to pick a player of the moment, alas.

Advice on make and model, the same source, will be more appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  • What is the reason for the Apple Watch defaulting to 1 GB for playlists that can be stored on the watch?

2GB is not automatically assigned to be used specifically for purposes of music? If this is true then I can't understand why it would default to a lower capacity.

    Hello

It is a community based on the user, though I'm afraid that no one here can tell you why Apple chose to configure Apple Watch with a default 1 GB playlist storage limit (also, should not here to speculate on decisions of Apple).

  • question battery iPod classic

I bought a refurbished iPod video on ebay from a store that sells it to the left and to the right and had good reviews.  He supposedly has a new battery and a hard drive.

When I disable and the value to the bottom of the stack is still dead when I'll be back in a few days.  Is this normal?

I have a nano, but I've always had that connected when I used it so I don't know how long the battery lasts when it is off.

A few days?  The battery charge level is down when the iPod is not used, but it should still hold some costs "a few days" If the battery is new and of good quality.  After a week or more to sign out and not used, it can be more normal than the iPod battery for not having a strong enough to propel upward charge.  Make sure that you did not leave the iPod playing songs (in library shuffle mode).  Sometimes I do, and then find the iPod completely drained battery.

Also, I'd be suspicious of the claim that the hard drive is 'new '.  It may be again (as in not previously used), but those components are no longer produced, while the remaining stock tends to be expensive.  More often (especially for older lower capacity below 160 GB), they are recovered on the used iPods work records.

Additional note: these days, the best way to replace the hard drive in the iPod is to use a commonly available (and affordable) card Compact Flash or SD card (on the appropriate adapter).  This web page has information for the 5th generation and later "classic" iPods

    https://www.iFlash.xyz

I don't have a 5th gen iPod, but I made the equivalent mods on my old 3rd gen iPod 4th gen iPod and iPod mini (using different cards), and they work better than when they were new, with much higher storage capacity.  The mini iPod went only 4 GB to 64 GB...!

  • Tecra A6 (PTA60E) - hard drives are compatible

    Hello
I corrupted hard drive 100 GB Hitachi in my Tecra A6 I want to replace. Are there limitations in the Bios on the drives, I can use as a replacement. I am aware of the limits of size and interface, but I wonder if there is no limitation in the Bios, and if so, if the impact of these limitations only translates into a lower capacity hard disk than expected in drive standard.

    Thank you

    By

    Hello

Tecra A6 und SATA HDD HARD drive controller support 2.5 SATA there.
Since the SATA interface is not limited to certain sizes of HARD drive, you should be able to use any HARD drive 2.5 SATA.

I doubt THAT BIOS is limited, so I would say that you can also use larger SATA hard drives

  • Qosmio F60-111 - HARD drive replacement

I have a F60-111 and he had a problem bad hard drive several months ago, he was not even a year and was already late and crashing all the time. I have 3 years international warranty for it, so I sent the laptop in Saudi Arabia and the hard drive was replaced in January, I got just now, but I am disappointed. The laptop works, of course, but the replacement hard drive was only 100 GB, which is a big downgrade of its original capacity of 600 GB.

My problem is my laptop has been repaired, but it was replaced by a lower capacity hard drive. I feel blurry, am I entitled to compensation? Thank you.

    Hello

That s is truly amazing. Please don t wait so long and communicate with this service as soon as possible. Explain the situation and ask their explanation. Something like that should not happen, and the defective HARD drive must be exchanged with the same.

If they do not cooperate you should comment a threat by directly contacting Toshiba.

What do you think of this?

  • Satellite Pro A10 - continuous flashing light (orange)

Hi Maybe someone can help, I spilled ribena on my laptop (stupid I know) and now it used to power over wheter I use the AC adapter AND battery, or a single. in the dc - in light flashes orange. I was wondering if any1 can suggest some b4 help that consider a shop

    Thanks in advance
    Nikki

    Hello

Well, if the AC adapt is plugged and the yellow/orange flashing light, so it could be a power supply error.
If the unit works only with the battery and flashing light orange so it could be a low capacity battery or the machine is not plugged in.
I think you should contact the service partner to solve this error.

    Good bye

  • 16GB USB flash drive does not not on Satellite L300-11F

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-11F. It comes with 2 USB ports.
I have a pendrive plus 1 GB and all recently bought a Maxell 16 GB USB key.
The USB works flawlessly at work, desktop pc, but doesn't seem to work with the laptop.

I managed to use that only once since the USB port of the laptop simply does not recognize.
I can tell that the Red led does not Flash and the Flash DRIVE is not accessible.
I tried to use the hub USB Toshiba provided, no chance either :(

2 USB ports are ok I use mouse, digital camera with her.
Is the 16 GB USB key, it works perfectly with other machines. * desktop pcs *.

I'm missing a few USB drivers or what is the problem?
Please help I need to be able to use the device on the laptop too.

    Thank you!

Can you use a Flash DRIVE with a lower capacity on the two USB ports?

  • Satellite U940 - decrease in the life of the battery with Windows update 8.1

Hi, before the upgrade to windows 8.1 would usually get about 4 to 5 hours of battery use. However, after the update to windows 8.1 which significantly reduced to about 1.5 to 2 hours to do the same exact things without any change. I contacted toshiba who provided me with a spare battery, but this issue has not changed. I followed to the letter on the 8.1 update following the instructions.

I'm not really good with computers, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. In front of me, I have U940-103 with Win8.1.
Three weeks ago I ve updated original Win8 preinstalled with Win8.1 and after battery test I didn t notice any difference.
With full battery, I can watch two movies without problems so with full battery, I can use my U940 Satellite 4 hours.

It is not easy to tell if the reason for the low capacity of the battery is Win8.1.
I don't know if you want to do this, but it will be interesting to know if something will change if you reinstall original recovery image.

  • More than maximum memory on the Satellite 1410-303 (512MB)

According to the manual the 1410-303 can only install 512 MB memory.

Wonder just that someone has already tried to install more than that? Currently installed 512 MB, the machine is still kind of slow Photoshop running. Ideally the memory 768 MB or 1 GB. any ideas/experience?

The machine works rather well, so any plan to get a new one anytime soon. Thank you!

    Hello

I try still didn t but friend of mine has had bad experience with it. He has used more than max but just defined by Toshiba memory max memory has been recognized. In my opinion, you can try to use more than 512 MB. I'm not so sure that any capacity to be recognized.

As far as I know your unit has only 16 MB of video RAM and I'm pretty sure that this low capacity of the graphics card is the reason for slow graphic illustration or graphic editing.
