  I hope that someone here has the answer to my question, so this is.

  The laptop starts (be it battery powered off or just AC) for about 3 seconds, at that time, I hear the rotation of the drive upward and the fans but no beeps.

  After the reinstallation of the hard drive & memory if you have the same problem. Please contact HP support and get verification from the motherboard replaced details of warranty with technical support.

  Children were using the PC and recording of large amount of data (about 30 GB) on desktop? Suspecting this could be trigerred overheating that caused the major failure. The dust was found on the heatsink, but nothing was completely clogged.

  When you press the power button, no startup process is initialied and the fan is too loud like a helicopter. Tried the reset of that power on the power button but nothing done and the same thing happened. HARD drive is quite slow during the withdrawal and during the data recovery attempt, which succeeded, after all. Any suggestions please?

  Thanks for the comments on my post, that they are appreciated. Given what you said and asked about your computer, I will say this. First with many HP computers there are different motherboards that can be used in them. Unfortunately, yours is not one of these. Far as I can see the only motherboard recommended for your computer is the motherboard of Jesse. However, I can give you a bit of advice. Based on what you have said is no longer functional and need to replace I advise you to contact HP Technical Support before commit you to a project like this. Technical support HP has alternatives that may be less expensive and provide you with a computer that is already updated. There is nothing to say that we must commit to anything, but it would be worth the trip I think.

  am under win 7, 64 bit. had something to do with HP 3 in 1 printer to the PC by using remove normal within devices/printers, as it had played all of a sudden, with difficulty (failed) reinstall removed!  a centuries-old HP drive for my system!, costumes to previous win and also not taken in charge now.

  also ran a file temporary cleaning via system tools and defragmented.  wake up message now on start... as above.  a scanner sfc, not found any internal breach. What is brs exe? and the dll file can be found somewhere in the SP and installed, which it is, why it is absent? reviewed 1 addictivetips.com solution proposal.  also found 1 suggestion to peer into MS Visual C ++ redistributable. Looks like once your out of warranty free very little real bug and help $free is available.

  msvcp71.dll is not a Windows file, it is a Visual Studio .net file and it is distributed by software vendors, you can have different versions of the file in the directories of different programs.

• HP pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: question seeks to get drivers for my ATI Mobility HD7470M updated

  Can't find update drivers for my laptop Hp Pavilion dv6 smart who has the graphics card ATI Mobility HD7470M, once recommended with AMD driver auto-detect mess to the top of the resolution and the only solution to that is a system restore.

  AMD Catalyst center can't find updates for 2011.

I looked in your question about your Hp Pavilion dv6 Notebook and questions with looking for a new driver for your ATI Mobility HD7470M.  The driver will change not only updated. If the device works properly I wouldn't try to change the system.

  If we get the beep codes and the machine will not move past, then we have hardware problems.

  You will need to contact your hardware manufacturer for more information on the beep codes and their meaning.

• Computer starts and restarts in an infinite loop at startup.

  Received this e-mail from Comcast around 2 April 2013 stating my computer may have a 'bot '. This function constant guard of Comcast. On 5 April, my computer started this start and restart * in an infinite loop. I took the computer manufacturer and all wiped out settings. Comcast removed free Norton antivirus and replaced by Webroot. When the infinite loop finally stops, I just leave the computer on and log off because if I stop, it will begin to restart in an endless loop. I used MicroSoft's analysis and Webroot finds no Malware since I restored it to the constructor parameter. I don't understand??? It does only as long as my wireless light on my laptop. If I boot my computer and disable immediately any connection to the internet, there are no endless loop. I get the desktop to the top and turn on the wireless on my laptop and the computer begins to restart. My daughter uses her Tablet without any problem the same modem wireless. I always get this duplication of constant guard of Comcast email. I sent email them back and ask them if they are sent, and if it was a fake, and their response was like they didn't know what I was asking. Knuckleheads! I am lucky to be online now. He ran into an infinite loop, start and restart hours today. Help!

  Method 1: I suggest to disable automatic reboot and then check if the problem persists.

  (Including safe mode) advanced startup options (disable automatic reboot system error)

  You must understand that on this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
  I can imagine that some background process starts and increase the use of the CPU at the critical level when the motherboard sensors register at higher temperature of the processor and cooling fan starts to run fast enough.

  Try to check in the Task Manager, if something like that happen.

  I put t know how you have configured your operating system and to applications that run in the background, but also to try to stop treatments that you don't need and change some settings.

  Out of the blue, my laptop just stopped starting sometimes.  It didn't fall or anything.  The screen remains black after start-up and only the fan turns on.  Verified the external monitors etc.

  He occasionally start and I have usually press f10 for that to happen.  I ran the diagnostic tests and memory, we came back ok.

  However when I leave configured BIOS, windows starts normally and works ok for a few days.  So is there really a problem with the hard drive?  This would explain why it won't turn?

  The laptop becomes quite hot enough quickly also, this can be explained by the error of hard disk or is it do? I don't want to buy a new drive hard to make it happen.  Is it POSSIBLE to repair a hard drive or replacement is the only option? This error is certainly correct?

  Hey Sonny.

  There are a ton of questions that could cause this. The most common is a failing hard drive or it overheats. Since its only on a brief second I would try a hard reset, followed by the disk hard self-test.

  Generally speaking, if it starts and does even not initializing the monitor, or starts and turns off immediately, it could be the motherboard. It helps to remove each device at a time and try to start the computer. Sometimes when the parts become defective they still affect the ability to start.
