  Have you tried using another browser to download?

  Have you tried running The HP Support Assistant to retrieve updates?

  Have you checked your firewall and virus checker setting to make sure it is not blocked?

  It could also be a firewall on your router setting.

  Have you tried to download from a hotspot or maybe a friends house?

  If you are unable to download the software desired, try another computer to download on a USB and then install the updates.

• Cut random downs and crashes. Computer laptop closing at startup. No virus, what is - this?

  A few months my computer has been acting crazy. Lately, it is essential, it is closed right after it starts.   Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
  It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

  To be able to remove ALL and reinstall all the cables (both ends), card and memory - really remove
  and replace - do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the vents. Check that the
  fans of work (before and after opening the case). If a laptop on what you can do is reinstall
  memory and clean the ventilation openings (still may try to add a small fan as a test).

  I just reinstalled Windows 7 32 bit on a G6-2260so laptop and after some difficulty in finding the right drivers for the network, I am now struggeling to get the correct drivers for the USB3 ports and "SM-busdriver" and also something called just 'PCI-unit' in the Manager computer. I searched and tried drivers for other models, but so far has not come with any one that works with this one.

  The hard drive no longer works so I put in a new drive and the owner wanted to use new Windows 7 because she was not too fond of the updated operating system.

  Hello. This problem started when I updated for windows 8.1 on my home office (which connects via wifi). It came with windows 8, but then I've updated in March for windows 8.1 after learning that wifi controllers have been updated. Since then, I had problems with the wireless network (problem comes and goes, but is unstable hightly).

  The most common problems I see is: slow network, very few reliable HTTP traffic (web pages does not display ok, does not load images or does not even load the web page, rror 404), sometimes it doesn't connect to my WIFI at home, 802.11n, as its configuration for authetication type WPA2-PSK.

  Note that if I connect using cable, it works well. Also, I find that if I connect to an unsecured network, 802. 11B it works fine. Another aspect to note is that whenever I see the problem (every 5 minutes), I usually run the ipconfig/flushdns and seems that he * temporarily * solves the problem, but then it happens again.

  In addition, the driver is supposed to be updated, I first tried one that has been recommended to HP, but since it has not solved the problem, I downloaded a newer version of the Ralink site, is dated April 4, 2014.
