HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p012ne: HP pavilion p 15 012 ONLY

Hi guys! New in the forum.

I recently bought a HP Pavilion 15 p012ne. I was reading this model quite some time and now ive bought. basically because im an AMD fan (AMD user since 2009)

However, the shop I got my unit gave me a unit which has no dedicated graphics card, when in the HP site, it says that it comes with a dedicated AMD Radeon R7 M260 (2 GB DDR3L) graphics card.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04355665

My question is, I can buy a video card for this device, then install it in the local store of HP because it will not welded to the GPU on the card slot?

Thanks a lot for the answers!

Which model do you really? You're misunderstanding how a laptop is built. The video comes from a chip embedded in the motherboard. There is no slot which allows you to add a video card on your laptop. Some expensive super games and the genius of laptop computers have a slot for video card, but even on those video cards are not easily available and far from universally standard with desktop computers.

That says your device manager is your video chip?

  • HP Pavilion dv6-black screen only works with the external monitor

I discovered that my screen was not turn on yesterday when I tried to turn on my laptop. Fortunately I was able to plug it into an external monitor with a VGA cable and I have a monitor in my office, but I can not really be restricted to my living room or office to use my laptop.  Y at - it easy fixes to this, or is my only option to take it to someone with experience that replace the monitor for me?

    Hello

Given the external screen display there are so few opportunities...

-Sun display-project is a flashlight on the screen and check if you can see the bottom - if background is visible while it is the backlight in the LCD screen that needs to be replaced.

    - Display dark: if it is completely black and nothing is visible when you Flash light on the screen, then it is due to the LCD screen itself might be a broken screen (a cable that connects to the motherboard screen) or could be inverter LCD.

If the laptop is still under warranty so I recommend you call HP tech support and they will be able to get it fixed for you.

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 appears as mouse HID-complaint only, and does not appear in Intellipoint correctly

I just installed the mouse on my laptop Dell D820 running Windows 7 Ultimate (all the fullyy patched)

The mouse is recognized by the system and displayed both Bluetooth devices and devices windows with the correct name: Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000.  It works also.

However when I open Microsoft Mouse and go to the tab buttons, it is reported no. Microsoft USB mouse detected which means that I can not configure the buttons, etc.

And when I go to the Hardware tab reports the mouse as a mouse HID-complaint that is so, it also appears in Device Manager.

    So far I have tried:

    • Remove the mouse, and then reinstall (in a number of different ways).  When he returned, he is reported as 'unidentified device' and the device driver indicates a driver installation failed
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Intellipoint - latest version downloaded and installed to sweat
    • The mouse of uninstall, reboot and reinstall the mouse

All very irritating.   Any suggestions to get the system fully recognize the mouse, please

    See http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=099&active_tab=systemRequirements.

IntelliPoint is not necessary and does not support the Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. The buttons are not configurable.

There are some other Bluetooth Microsoft mouse which are supported by IntelliPoint, and the buttons can be configured.

  • Pavilion 15 Notebook: 2.64 GB usable, 8 GB installed

Recently, I noticed that my computer laptop Pavilion 15 stated that only 2.64 gb of ram was usable on a possible 8 gb installed. What makes my laptop run very slow (1.9 GB used when idle). I am running windows 64-bit 10, I checked the BIOS and I can't remap the memory, I also looked for an update and was not found that and all my drivers are up to date. I ran mdsched.exe without no problems found. My laptop is a little more than a year, which is typical. Your help in resolving this issue is appreciated

Sorry, that's a typo. But its OK I fixed it I think. Open msconfig, open Control Panel, open start then advanced settings, and then I unchecked memory Max.

What is boring, it's I thought I had done that, but I must not have saved. Thx for your help anyway

  • Turn on Touch screen Pavilion 23

I have a Pavilion 23-B219c.    Only had about 2 weeks.   I think that, when I first put in place, there was a question about ENTRY and I chose '' mouse. ''   But now the touchscreen does not work.   How can I activate the touch screen features?  THX.

    Hi RobKes.

Some models of this machine offers touchscreen. Your manual click here.

If you are not sure if it is a model to screen touch or not. You can check in the control panel. Press the Windows key + C to open charms, type in the Panel. Open the control panel. Select system and security and open. Select system and open. This screen should tell you if it's a touchscreen or not. If it is not listed as a touchscreen and you chose this option, you can consider to return this model and make one with this option.  If it is a touch screen model and you still do not see the stylus and touch settings. as you suggest it, or that it's just about 3 weeks, it would be in warranty and you can call the HP support, you can be back to Best Buy.  Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. • update to Media Center computer HP Pavilion a1323w

I had problems with my original computer HP Pavilion a1323w that my only change was to add a memory to handle the upgrade to Windows 7 last year.  More recently, I bought a HP 110-023w desktop with Windows 8 (now updated to 8.1), which has much better bios, etc., but has no built-in cd/dvd drivers, etc., which has the a1323w.  Is it possible to convert the a1323w into a version that is more comparable to the 110-023w at the operational level, speed, etc., but still provides the disk drivers, etc.?  How?  How much would it cost?

    Welcome to the forum.

The short answer is, you will not be able to upgrade the computer to operate as the new computer.  It is simply old technology.  Maximum supported by the motherboard memory is 2 GB.  He's the weak link even with a discrete video card.  If you upgrade the video card, power supply (PSU) will also need to be upgraded.  With all these improvements, there will be still much slower.

Please click "Thumbs Up" if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • HP pavilion p7-1410 graphics "Please help."

Hello, I own a HP Pavilion p7-1410 and only set to the power supply to a 550wat and I was wondering what type of graphics card I can get to work in my pc, I tried a used nvidia gtx 560 ti-> it only lasted a few weeks until the screen changed a bunch of colors then remained black and did not work in my other pc. It could be the card its self or my pc can't handle this card and or where would be a good place to start looking for maps for this computer?

If this is in the wrong section, sorry im new to this.

If the card does not work in another PC, especially if the other PC had a PSU > = 500 Watts and the two PCIe power connectors were connected, so the map itself is likely to have problems.
