HP photosmart c4280 issue transport jam

Tried the hard reset as suggested, still getting the same message. "Jam, jam clear transport transport. Press OK. Any suggestions? Like new, used one summer in my truck. Cheaper to buy a new one and it crash?

There are a few things I would do in this case.  I remove all paper from the paper tray and make sure that it is no that whatever it is taken in the rollers that would block the way of transport.  Also, look inside the printer on the right side of the cart and make sure there is nothing blocking the movement of the cart here.

Have you tried to raise transportation and trying to move gently by hand?  Can it go all the way to the left and all the way into the printer?

If all the troubleshooting steps are carried out and the error continues to be present on the screen of the printer, then the next step will be the replacement of the product.  If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you.   • rattling noise Photosmart c4280

    Recently, my Photosmart C4280 makes a quick loud pinging from the start under tension, or whenever I Press PRINT or COPY.

    The sound seems to come from the right side of the unit, is approximately two seconds and sounds like a mchinegun continuous burst. When the noise stops, printing or copying function works and produces a normal copy. This only happens on the first page. If I have selected several pages the noise only occurs on the first printed page. However, when you perform repeated simple copies, the noise whenever I have print or copy.

    I tried the following without change:

    -Removed the back cover and it wiped all the rolls

    -Deleted and reinstalled ink cartridges (resettled same cartridges)

    -Performed a Hard Reset (disconnect from the computer, power cable printer disconneting & electric transformer, unplug the power supply from the socket wall, holding THE button 30 seconds, then reconnect the.)

    -Conducted a partial reset (this product a new alignment page that I used realigne printer/scanner).

    Power supply printer is plugged directly into the wall, rather than by the surge protector.

  • HP 6500 has more transport Jam

    I have a HP 6500 has more printer that has stop working.  Appears on the printer 'Transport Jam'.  I search the web and find videos that have troubleshooting steps to correct this problem, but they have not been of any help.

    When I turn on the printer, I hear a clicking sound until the "Carriage jam" message appears on the printer screen.  The print carriage is stuck on the right side of the printer and will not move.

    Any ideas?

  • Cartridge (still) not detected on Photosmart C4280 of printing

    The message on the Photosmart C4280.  I tried reinstalling, cleaning contacts.  Then I bought new cartridges of HP brand to replace the cartridges (non-empty).  None of this makes no difference.  I always get a "missing or undetected print cartridges" showing on the device.  Any thoughts?

  • HP Photosmart C4280 all-in-one no scan

    Although my printer works fine for printing and copying, I get error messages when I try to scan by pressing the button or by using the HP software

    I use the HP Photosmart C4280 all-in-one with a MacBook OSX 10.5.7 running

I was able to get to join the TRIOUX printer, butttttnosaninfunctions work with the push button on the machine. Also, because I lost the original CD that came with it, I can't scan utilities to work. I don't know that the same CD would work with Windows 10. In any case, HP will be an upgrade of Windows 10 for this printer include the scanning of the functions? Thank you

    I see you want to use the features of printing and scanning of your HP Photosmart C4280 all-in-One Printer on your computer Windows 10. I want to help you with this today. I'm happy to announce that the full feature software and drivers are available for your printer!  Just pilots have not yet been added under Windows 10 drop-down list on our Web site. However, I will you link to the driver package to install your printer. Please follow the steps below.

    If you use a USB connection between your computer and the printer please unplug this cable now.

    Step 1: Remove the printer:

    We want a clean slate to install your printer on the computer Windows 10. Therefore, I will you ensure that no trace of your HP Photosmart camera does not currently installed on your computer.

    1. click on the Start button

    2. type programs and features. If a search does not start automatically, you will need to type programs and features in the area of "Ask Me anything".

    3. click on programs and features to launch the window.

    4. in programs and features, will populate a list of the programs installed on your computer. Please scroll down and find your Camera HP Photosmart. If you see your HP Photosmart listed, click on it and choose Uninstall.

    5 follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete successfully please close programs and features.

  • Photosmart C4280: Incompatible device

    Hello.

    My Photosmart C4280 was previously works very well with Windows 10.  A new update has been installed a couple of days.   Now it is said that the Photosmart is an "Incompatible device" and will not open it.   I tried to reinstall the program three times to no evail.

    On the last seconds of the installation, an error message comes up saying the device is not compatible with the pc and the program could be harmful.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    I've had this printer (Photosmart C4280 all-in-one) for over a year now and it was working fine. However, when I went home last November, I installed my most old (Officejet G85). Then, when I came back, I tried to print a document, but it wouldn't print. I googled the question, have searched forums and tried the HP Solve part of the problem, but to no use. I have also reinstalled the printer three times, but that has not changed anything.

    The printer prints the page of test without any problem. The "error" print queue appears under the status tab, but gives no details.

    I use a MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz on a Mac OS X 10.6.3 with the latest HP 10.3 suite.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    OK, we are going to completely uninstall all software HP on your Mac in this way:

    Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
    Highlight your device in the left pane
    Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
    There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
    Click on continue and let it finish

    Now run a software update.

    Then, remove and reinstall the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.

    You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.

    I just hung this printer that was given to me (but without the installation disk or manual).  Scanning and direct printing on the printer do not seem to be a problem, but I can not "copy" on the printer.  The copy comes out just of Virgin.

Personally, I think it might be a problem with ink cartridge, so you would recommend that you try the steps from the link I posted for you below. Also make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, avoiding bars power and surge protectors.
