  I would like to help you today with the configuration of your HP Photosmart C4580 all-in-One printer to print wirelessly with your computer Mac OS X 10.7. The Device Manager is a feature of the Windows operating system. I don't know why you got a quick for you going into the Device Manager, but it is not possible for your Mac operating system. Now, because of the age of your unit HP Photosmart there is no downloadable HP full feature software or driver for your printer in Mac OS X 10.7. Therefore, you rely on an update from Apple to install printing and scanning of the capabilities of your printer on your Mac. For this reason, you are not able to perform normal wireless setup wireless for your printer configuration is done via the installation package. For this reason, we have two options.

  Option 1: Install the printer on a supported operating system and run the wireless installation. Once the wireless feature is successfully configured you simply (+) add your printer to your Mac OS X 10.7 for printing and scanning.

  Your printer has a pilot full of features in favor:

  • Mac OS X 10.5
  • Mac OS X 10.6

  I understand that when you print from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one printer D110a print jobs are coming in white. I would like to help you today with this printing problem. When you print from your computer, some files are sent to your printer as "image" files If your printer 'think' it prints an image, color ink may be used to enrich or to 'do' the dark. This can be misleading because your machine can really be confronted a black ink, problem of print, but you may think that your machine works great as always black appears in print. While in reality, it's just the ink to mix color to black. Therefore, at the beginning troubleshooting I'll have print you a standalone report diagnosis on the quality of your printer.   @ CoolBreeze202 - I'm sorry that you are having this problem with the ink cartridges and the ink expiration error message.  You can try to clean the contacts on the cartridge and the contacts inside the machine to ensure that built up on the parts are not the source of the error message. Pages 163 and 164 of the user manual will show a manual cleanup process.

  I would also do a hard reset to the printer to try to clear the error message and return the printer to a known working state. No user settings are lost with a hard reset.  Here is a link that will show you how to do a hard reset on this machine.

  Unfortunately, I have not found a solution to fix my HP C8180. The 800 number only referred me to another number (866-234-1377) where someone in India tried to sell me a phone support or a new printer. Phone support will not fix a burned capacitor and the new printers HP scan slides. Not to mention the $100. new ink I'll have to eat if I can't solve this problem.
