HP PSC 2110 printing problems

I can't get my HP PSC 2110 to print properly with Windows 7.  It prints very well when it is attached to a PC running Windows XP.  All I get with Windows 7 is white pages, or a page with a few words in my document in very large characters.

Did you follow the instructions here:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c01796879&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&OS=4062&product=79488&sw_lang=

This driver is installed? It should be included amongst the "HP psc 2100 series" in the printer properties. If this is not the case, go to the Advanced tab, then in the driver box, click the arrow next to the listed driver and see if there is something else. If this is not the case, click new driver and select HP in the left column and the 2100 series driver in the right one.

After checking the correct driver is installed, print a test page. Is it OK?
If so, print a document with that you have problems. If this is not correct, check the printer settings in this program to confirm that a large font size is not selected, the scale is not at 125%, etc..

  • PSC 2410 printer problem

Try to get the PSC 2410 all in 1 printer at work.  It shows flashing 'on' light, animated hourglass icon on the screen, makes noises as if I try to print whenever I turn it on, but does not pull paper.  Sounds stop after 1-2 minutes, but printer remains inadmissible.  This seems to have originated when I accidentally disconnected the USB port while trying to remove a paper jam.  Have tried all the diagnostics, reset the machine by the orientation of the Web site, but no luck.  Goes into the same mode every time I start her if connected to the PC or not.

I fear that once that happens there is little you can do. The printer had a fatal mistake in the firmware probably due to missed communication, you have described. The only way to try to resolve the problem of the firmware is to do a hard reset. It is not guaranteed to work, but it's the only thing you can try, unfortunately. I've included the steps below. If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer.

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

  • HP PSC 1510: Printer problem

My printer prints an alignment page, whenever I turn it on. I have downloaded/installed the latest drivers, no help.

How can I fix this. It didn't happen when I was connected to a pc with an earlier operating system.

Alignment again if it does not.  After the alignment page is printed, it must be placed on the scan scanner glass and press.  Try the following:

    1. Turn the printer off, wait 30 seconds, then turn the printer.
    2. To print the alignment page.
    3. Unplug the USB cable from the computer to the printer.
    4. Load the page alignment on the bed of the scanner, and then press the scan button.  The power light will blink while the analysis ends.
    5. Once the completed scan turn the printer off and then back on.  If the alignment page does not print, the problem is resolved.  You can now reconnect the USB cable.
    6. The page always prints if maybe because black or color cartridge cyan portion will not print correctly.  In this case, check the ink levels.  If they are OK, then perform a printhead, cleaning cycle.
  • PSC 1410 printing problems, no errors but printing is delayed and often deleted

    Hello
It's about a year since the printer is faced with these problems:
-Whenever the printer is turned on it prints the test page (seems to me that it remains in the memory printing process), this occurs even when the PC is not connected
-Whenever you ask to print a document, the process is pending, but printing does not start actually, it happens sometimes that spending a few minutes (or 20), printing is successful.

    Power cord and USB are fully functional;
The copy function and the scanner works perfectly.

I already tried to uninstall the drivers and install the updates, but problems remain.

Now I am running Windows 7, but problems occur also in the printer connected to another computer running Windows XP.

What could be a possible solution?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I have seen this before, but on some other products.  The solution seems to be "complete alignment" piece of printer setting.  I've attached the link to the document.  See if that helps...

  • W7-64 bit - problem with printing on HP PSC 2110. It is not possible to find a driver.

I just got a new computer with W7-64 bit operating system. I have connected my "HP PSC 2110 - all-in one print" through the USB cable, but I was not able to print documents.

    (a) when I try to print a document asking a boks popup on "add a printer".

Then I go to the area 'Units and printers' to add the printer "HP PSC 2110'. The printer is displayed with an icon (if fare, fine)- but there is a yellow triangle with a '! ' which indicates something is wrong with the printer.

In the status line: "Troubleshooting must take place" (freely translated from Danish) - I run the process, that identify that there is no driver installed for "HP PSC 2110" problem.

Problems suggest to fix this - after a troubleshooting process says the problem: "There no driver for the series of Hewlett - Packard PSC 2100" is not resolved.

What can I do next - any suggestions?

    (b) otherwise, I also tried to follow the process described on HP's own page:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01796879&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=4062&product=79488&sw_lang=#N248

But I can't get it to work.

    ---

I hope that there is someone who can help out me.

Is there a driver for PSC 2110 provided by HP, which provides printing and basic scanning capabilities.  It is distributed through Windows Update and usually installed as shown in the previous links. There are some measures that can be out of order in the page of HP describing how to apply the driver - to succeed, he must have Windows Update turned on before connecting the USB cable.  Windows Update turned on, as shown in the section titled "Configure Windows Update to automatically search for updated drivers". Click on the title to expand that section and show directions.

Alternatively, you can manually check to see the driver as follows: go to the folder, devices and printers, adding a printer, choose a port, such as LPT1: temporarily, following and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right.  A connection high speed, it will take several minutes to reload the list.  When the list is full again, select HP as the manufacturer (not HP), the driver that you want is the series HP PSC 2100 to the bottom of the list.  If this driver appear correctly cancel the current installation and then reconnect the USB cable and everything should happen automatically.

If for some reason you can't use Windows Update drivers you can also download the driver site catalog of Microsoft.  It will take that you use Internet Explorer as your browser and you will have to manually find the driver you need that research does not directly limit the results of my architecture.  For your x 64 system you want the file 11.6 Mb from this page.  Download the file and extract it to a temporary directory, and then click Add a printer, disk and point to the driver to add it to the list, and then connect the USB cable.

BTW, I have your answer as to answer because 1) you didn't yet have an answer and 2) when a message is marked as being people responded with answers are less likely to open, but other users looking for answers will be unmarked.  This would tend to frustrate you and them :-).

  • PSC 2110 all-in-one now prints VERY SLOW

Maybe I just need to bury it, but my psc 2110 started extremely slow printing - 15 minutes for the align cartridges page, 17 minutes for the 'self-assessment report.  So, it has nothing to do with the connection between the printer and the computer (these prints are of the printer itself).  I tried unplugging everything, wait, and plug it in; Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges; align the print cartridges; Download the HP printer utility (who reported "No problems found"); looking for an update (it says I have the latest).  Any ideas?

If the printer prints a swath, and then pauses for 15 seconds before the next broke then probably the issue is one of the ink cartridges has failed.  If the PSC 2110 is capable of printing mode reserve (with one of the removed cartridges), then you can remove a cartridge, print something, then replace the cartridge, remove the cartridge else and print something.

Whatever that cauese cartridge the printer to print slowly is the culprit and should be replaced.  If the PSC 2110 does not support the mode of the reserve, then you will have to use trial and error to find out what cartridge is at fault.  I would like to start with the black cartridge.

  • HP psc 2110 itself maintains the reset as default printer

I have a hp psc 2110 all-in-one printer connected to my workstation I use just for scanning.  I have a network as my default laser printer.  I installed the updated drivers for the 2110 a few months ago and have had a problem since.  Whenever I restart my computer, the 2110 stands as the default printer.  I have to go and manually select another default printer when I notice that I never had a print job that I sent to the network printer.  The hp resets the next morning, when I turn on the computer again.

I see that someone posted a similar problem to the 1/12 with another HP printer, but there is no answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's very strange.  Try to uninstall and reinstall the printer.  Something must have been damaged in the installation of the last.  Let me know what happens.

  • Printing blank Pages V PSC 2110 resolved

Found a very strange problem that has an impact on other printers as well.  Our PSC 2110 V as a local printer on USB attached to a Windows XP Service Pack 2 running on a Dell 4700 started printing anything else than white pages. Even the test page.  However, other computers connected to this computer (linux and mac) could print very well.  Then of course, the printer worked!

Turns out that what is called Data Execution Prevention setting has been changed.  Not sure how this has changed, perhaps on a recent update from MS, not sure.  In any case, go to control panel of--> System--> Advanced--> performance and select the Setup button. In Performance Options, select Data Execution Prevention, and then select the radio button top of page "enable DEP for window essential programs and services only."

Before that, you can read about on the site of Ms.  He tries to stop the bad programs of support for your program.

Maybe there is a better solution that restrict DEP to the only window programs, there may be a new driver that is happy DEP.

Thanks - this change DEP setting worked for me also! I also have Windows XP (media center edition) SP2, so maybe HP can come up with a patch for it? I see that there is a similar with Windows Vista problem, although she mentions a specific print quality and paper selection which triggers the printing of blank pages problem.

  • Example: Pavilion dv6: printer all-in-one HP PSC 2110

I, m trying to install the printer all in one HP PSC 2110 on windows 7. Annyone has a compatible driver for this OS.

    Hi @eok001,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed you're wondering if there is a driver available for your printer HP PSC 2110 running on Windows 7. I'm happy to take a look for you!

A complete printer driver of functionality for one or more versions of Windows is not available for your printer, or from the CD supplied with your printer from the HP website. To use your HP printer with a Windows computer, you must install the driver built-in. To do this, please take a look through this guide, installation of your printer using the built-in Windows driver. Otherwise, I suggest upgrading to a printer of software complete features and drivers available for Windows 7. Here, a list of printers that are compatible with Windows 7.

I hope this information helps and thank you for posting!

  • Cannot get rid of 3 failure windows 'windows install' who quit with 96 percent finished, my printer hp psc 2110 is already installed and functional.

Computer hp pavilion ze4900 laptop use with the Windows XP operating system and a range of printers hp psc 2110, both were Setup at the same time.

Recently, whenever I turn on the computer, these windows are: firstly, they say '2100 Tour', then a '2100 Help Installer", then a"21-22-Trb '... "Please wait while Windows gathers information & configure 2100", then a line goes up to 96% completion and stops, after which nothing moves... as freezes.  I click next to them and they leave, but it happens every time I start.  Anyone has any ideas... Thank you!

    Hi Elizabeth,.

This happens on reboot all? Check if the installation CD / DVD is in the drive. Otherwise you will have to click on Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs-> your printer and click on repair.

    I hope this helps.

  • absence of dv6/PSC of color printing problem

I have a dv6-6b91eo laptop core i7 and a machine to print/copy/fax psc 2100. The problem started a couple of days when I had to remove a piece of paper that had tied in the printer. I did a test run from the pc and only got a b/w copy. I thought that maybe the color cartridge had been damaged as asked me to remove the cartridges for inspection. I replaced the cartridge with a new color. I did a test run from the pc and only got a b/w copy. I then tried the copy function and it scanned and printed OK, color and all. So, what to do? Is there a software patch that can fix the problem? I Don t have an installation cd for the PSC, so if that's what is needed I must find it on the web, but where? Is it a pc or a printer problem? Any help much appreciated.

    Hi RnRMusicMan,

Downloaded and run the HP and Docfor Scan print program, but he found no problem with my system, but after I did a backup copy of files on my external hard drive WD My Passport, and here the dv6 color printing capability has been restored after the backup! Also I have absolutely no idea how or why, but the printer works now dv6 o.k.! If you have no idea why this has happened, please let us know, I really want to know both why stopped dv6 color printing after only eliminate a jam on the psc 2210 (no changes have been made on the dv6 and scanning and printing color directly from the psc2210 worked o.k.) and why it has been restored after having made the back-up file. Very confusing to say the least. I will mark this as a solution, but I would really like to know why.

  • HP psc 2110 adjust print options do not open in Windows 7

    Hello

I have the following printer: HP psc 2110 all-in-one and I work with the Windows 7 operating system.

I can print, but the 'Print setting Options' dialog box does not, and I can't change my options, always print with the default settings.

I tried to access the "Print setting Options" dialog box in Microsoft Word, Notepad, paint, etc. and none of these programs open the dialog box.

I also tried to access the 'Impression of the adjustment Options' dialog box from the control panel > devices and printers and by double clicking on my "hp psc 2100 Series" printer. Then I click on "Adjust Printing Options" and a dialog box with the title "hp psc 2100 Series print properties" opens to 1/2 second and closes automatically.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

HP doesn't provide full features software & drivers for win7 on this printer model, and so you are using the win7 drivers that do not provide the comprehensive options of the software/drivers HP.

HP provides only Windows XP drivers/software for this model

  • PSC 2110 white than yellow when copying and scanning

Anyone have any ideas why my printer PSC 2110 sees white yellow, when the copy and scanning? For example, when a copy of a white paper with black text and color, white background yellow comes out if I choose the color copy. I did a full reset, but it does not solve the problem. Is my only option to buy new. ? =(

Well, it was unblugged several days (Don't now, how long it should) and a full reset again, just to make sure (don't know if that makes a difference), but now it works normally. White is now white and not yellow. Thank you.
