  • 3000 x 4 TouchPad / keyboard issue?

I have started to have a rather odd behavior, the mouse pointer "selects" all the time (selection box), what is happening currently with the office and it randomly moving icons as if I have the selected with the mouse (touchpad) the keyboard seems to also play up because it takes almost 2 minutes sometimes before XP login screen I can type anything (as applicable)

    Hello

If you really want, you could buy a USB keyboard and a mouse, assuming that's what you want. Depending on the amount you want to spend. The touchpad is a bit more to change, as you disassemble the screen of the high Assembly. Then remove the top Assembly from the lower to go where it is positioned. Takes a bit of time and can spoil. The keyboard is easier and has only a few screws to undo and your game. I always recommend to take it to the repair shop just because they are able to do it in a blink of eye and without any problem. Try reinstalling windows as well on your laptop, could just be an OS problem.

  • Satellite L50D-B-131 - several problems: touchpad, keyboard, internet

    Hi all!

I've had my laptop for a while, but I never really had time to take care of the problems accompanying.

Since I'm away, all the way in July, my touchpad doesn't work properly.
As simple as that. It would work for a few seconds at the start, then it would just get stuck in scroll mode.

My keyboard sometimes just stops working after a long while of using my laptop.

When my laptop turns off after that I'm away from keyboard, then back on, the screen is black.
Whenever I need to shut it down, and yet it in standby mode, and then reopen it so that screen to display everything.

I have no idea why, also, but all three of my Explorers are very bugs. Chrome, Mozilla and IE.
My videos just stop at random, to recharge and refresh with much less good quality.
They like to close no reason too. When I'm browsing a simple page like Facebook, I have framerate problems, I can't scroll correctly because when I do, I find myself skipping sections because it is this stroller.

    Can anyone help? Thank you.

    Guess what?
It is hard to believe that all these questions would be related to a general problem.

For example internet explore described making sounds to me like a slow internet connection. Internet browsers are probably not able to load all the video data (probably in HD resolution) and, therefore, the video starts to play using lower resolution.

The touchpad supports some additional features that can be configured in the settings of the MOMENTUM. (Control Panel-> mouse-> momentum settings on the last tab)
If you n t use all the features of the touchpad, I recommend you to disable the options in the configuration menu momentum.

Some sound issues too as the system should be locked for a short time.
Why? I m not quite made sure that, but maybe some application, run in the background and lock the system for awhile.

I m wondering if you already tried to retrieve the laptop back to factory settings.
If not; Give it a try. Your comments would be appreciated.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are in a really difficult situation that's going to be almost impossible to fix.

First, there are the ways, if you have the Windows installation media, to repair missing system files - but you probably don't have that, and even if you did, your optical drive would have to work in order to be able to read the media.

Second, you may want to restore your PC to its original state using HP recovery media, but there are two problems with this: (1) HP stores not more to your PC and your optical drive would need to work in order to use it (2) is a set of a DVD and a CD.

To restore your PC to the operating status, you'll need to be able to start using Windows disc media.  One way that COULD work is if you use an external DVD/CD drive plugged into a port USB - but for this to work, your PC must be bootable (1) and (2) be able to boot from USB.  IF these two are not true, then you can not restore it - the way it is.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps when your PC won't start - you can try them and see if everything works: computer won't start (Windows 7, Vista, XP) | HP® customer support

Maybe something in this package of measures will work.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • How can I disable the Touchpad keyboard? .

Whenever I type, my arm brushes touch pad, making the letters to jump back on the ground.  How can I disable the touchpad?

Access keys did not work, but I finally found the place under control panel, mobility settings and was able to disable the touchpad.  It's so irritating to try typing an email and have the arrow jump back on what I had already typed because my arm would land on the touchpad.  I had it turned off once before, but after downloading an update today and restart, the touchpad was back active again.  This time, I will make a note where I found the info to turn it off!

  • Windows 7 Ultimate, keyboard/touchpad not working all other startups?

A laptop computer that had Windows Vista on it, I bought Windows 7 edition integral and installed the same computer, after you put in a new hard drive.  All updates are performed.  It seems to happen every time you start another.  The touchpad/keyboard will not work.  Not sure what the remedy is.  Also, the question becomes just how to turn off once it comes on without the keyboard work.  Hit the power button, in my opinion, this isn't a good answer.  The unit seems to work fine when he had Lunix for OS, but I prefer Windows 7.

To turn off it when the keyboard and the touchpad does not work, you can try to plug a USB mouse or external keyboard.

I suggest that you go to the web site of the manufacturer and update the chip set driver and touchpad driver related device is established with the latest Windows 7 drivers available.

I tried to start it in safe mode and with the last settings that worked. None succeeded. Apart from the fact that the keyboard actually works to make choices, therefore, a question Ms.

  • Mousepad & keyboard do not work under Win7 on Satellite A300-1BZ

    Hello

I just installed Windows 7 on my laptop that is about a year now, but the mouse pad and keyboard do not work. No lights on the caps lock keys or anything either, the only way to get to work is to press the power button so that the laptop goes to sleep and then press it again to turn it back on, then wakes up the keyboard but the mouse pad still does not work.

I can plug in a USB mouse and it works, but I would prefer if the keyboard and the touchpad just would first work place! However if I restart the computer using the touchpad keyboard then suddenly works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

  • Frozen, paved touchscreen and keyboard on HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx Entertainment Notebook

Extremely frustrated I looked and tried to find a solution without success. When the laptop starts up, it gets to the login screen, I wouldn't be able to do anything at this time there but I can connect because I a reader of fingerprints, there, I'm 100% dead in the water. The only way to stop is to hold down the power button. When the computer is starting up, I function touchpad/keyboard, I can escape the boot options, BIOS, repair, etc., and have normal features while there, but not in safe mode. I ran SFC with orders several times, chkdsk with orders several times, nothing changes. SFC said he found problems, but wasn't able to fix all of them and the last chkdsk finds nothing wrong.

Here are the events leading to:

    * had errors of disk with bad sectors in the old drive hard (could not repair)

    * clone old hard drive to a hard drive nine (there were errors but the new hard drive booted and worked for the most part correctly)

in trying to try to repair the installation files missing for applications and other small issues, I ran troubleshooting, updates, chkdsk, sfc, etc removed various applications and added some, nothing worked. I installed Revo uninstaller to remove Kaspersky Internet Security because it is the MOST tenacious application to remove I've ever known. The reason I remember it is because I went through my computer to pick up the remaining files even after Revo because Kaspersky was always after the re-install and uninstall again. There are some files in System 32, who had kaspersky attached to its description. I stopped to run and deleted. They were close kb files and after searching for files to remove, I myself remember at the end of the post it says that it would not remove a certain file beacause you wouldn't keyboard functionality. I made sure that I don't have, but I can't help thinking now that of the 6 files, I deleted (some of them core) can I have deleted the files of mouse and keyboard by mistake.

    * The last time I had a functional touchpad/keyboard under Windows, I ran sfc/scannow damaged = d:-/offwindir = d:\windows started at the command prompt. I got the same message that it found errors but did not set all. So I ran chkdsk /f /r from the command prompt start. When I got back to my computer after a few hours, I restarted and no longer had a touchpad or keyboard.

I'm in the arms and extremely frustratd because I believe that I tried absolutely everything to make them work again. I hope that the only option I have left should format and clean install. I did not have a full upward and can not get a fully executed at this stage.

Help, please! Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help that you may be able to provide, it is much appreciated!

The following link leads to the support page of my laptop.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=5051461&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&lang=en&tmp_track_link...

At this point, you need to perform a system recovery to return to the factory-installed state. SFC is not able to solve a problem of file system indicates a deeper problem that could work only a new installation. The only other option would be if you had a full Windows disk for your system to perform a repair install, but the OEM computers do not come with a disc of the operating system.

Before continuing, let's check some things because I am sure you want to keep as much data as possible.

You still have the cloned disk image? It sounds like the keyboard and the touchpad worked after the image has been loaded on the new hard drive. Is this correct?

Something has been added since the image has been restored on the new hard drive? (photos, music, personal files, etc.).
Part of the process will be to restore the image of hard drive to external copy of all the files you want to keep. As it is, a clean install will erase everything and a defective hard disk image would give the possibility to save anything in the image on an external drive or a drive.

What is the new hard disk? As the brand, model, size, etc.

You have the recovery disks for your system? This could have been done when you got the system or ordered from HP. either all should work.

Another option to backup your files may be to use a live CD of Linux that has been done using another computer. Are you comfortable with Linux? This method is certainly not for everyone and I am not able to provide step by step instructions, but it's another option to save files.

  • Keyboard ergonomic Sculpt from Microsoft does not

    Dear community,

I have the Sculpt duo ergonomic keyboard & mouse Microsoft, but I have a problem only with the keyboard.

1.) does not recognize the keyboard: shift + c

I use the caps lock button to make a big 'C '.

The two shift keys do not work with the c key

(2.) by typing in Microsoft Word (Microsoft Professional Plus 2013), I'll start typing a phrase and all of a sudden it will copy what I write in the following line. Here is an example:

This is an example of what is going on DiagnosThis of care nursing is an example of what happens on the nursing diagnoses

So I started typing and when I went to type the word "Diagnostics", Word automatically copied the sentence and stuck where my current typing was.  I hope this makes sense.

It seems that I turned on some sort of shortcut with SHIFT c and now he's doing the thing copy instead, but I have no idea how I did this or how disable it.

    Things I've tried:

    -restart the computer

-have disconnected and reconnected the USB receiver

-turn the computer off, by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB receiver, turn on the computer

    -uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers

    -multiple restarts again

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit operating system.

    Hello

The drivers for the touchpad can be damaged, which could result in a malfunction.

I recommend the following methods and check if that helps.

Method 1: Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter.

It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.

    See the article below.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

If the problem persists, update us the touchpad drivers and check if it helps.

Method 2: Update drivers for the touchpad in Device Manager.

    (a) press the Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc.

    (b) to expand mice and other pointing devices.

    (c) click on properties, click the driver tab.

    (d) click the Update Driver button.

    (e) click on the OK button.
