HP Touchsmart 600-1050 blue screen to install Windows 7

Hello.

I m having some one-time reinstall Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium on a Touchsmart 600-1050.

The system boot on my USB device and the installation program starts as usual. After installation is complete and the operating system starts, it falls to each time a blue screen when it tries to start the drivers. After the system restarts, I fall into the selection of start (start Windows normally or in Safe Mode,...) where I choose to start normally (when I try Safe Mode, it will not work because the installation even isn´t not finished yet). Then he says that there is an error with the Installation, and I have to restart the installation.

I m stuck here and need help please.

BERTL

After hours of troubleshooting, I decided to change the HARD disk. After that, it worked.

(Could that tried earlier...)

Anyway thanks for your reply!

May be closed due to the hardware failure.

The new hard drive should be of equal size or as to what you had and not the format of the AF.

You will have to order recovery disks, if you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144 and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.  Otherwise the site worldwide: http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/support.html

If HP does not have the discs, you can get them at the computer the surgeons who have them:

  • RTM of Windows 8 installation Fail on Touchsmart 600-(1050)

Has anyone else had much luck RTM of Windows 8 on a Touchsmart 600 installation? My installation starts ok, but after the first reset it everything is there with the logo and the whirlpool circulating. The boot record, I checked and I have a suspicion that he doesn't get Windows to start after the reset.

    Anyone else facing this?

Just for everyone to know that I finally managed to fix it. It appeared that my question was a known Windows 8 Preview version that Microsoft has released a fix for (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2727113). Apparently, there's a bug which can cause freezing symptoms I was see and by running the command

    bcdedit/set disabledynamictick no

due to the gel to stop. It seems that the update has been released with RTM of Windows 8, so it does not seem to have worked at least the Touchsmart 600-1050. Many other people are reporting that it didn't work either, but as long as the above command will stop the gel I'm happy.

My installation is going well now, work all, all happy. The only thing I needed to update was the touch screen 2.6.9.0 to 2.6.10.0 pilot who has really improved stability. That and the driver for the buttons on the side of the case.

    Happy days!

  • I have a Hp touchsmart 600-1050 and I also have 3 other laptops running of the internet itself, but I get a message IP address conflict.

I have a Hp touchsmart 600-1050 and I also have 3 other laptops running of the internet itself, but I get a message IP address conflict, why? & How can I fix this problem, thanks Aldo Zapata

An IP address conflict occurs when two computers on a LAN (local area network) or the Internet were assigned to the same IP. IP conflicts between two computers normally make one or unusable both for network operations.

    Try below methods

    1. for networks where the addresses are fixed (statically assigned) IP, ensure that each local host is configured with a unique IP address.

    2. If your computer has an address assigned dynamically, releasing and renew its IP address can bypass IP address conflicts.

Run the following commands in the command prompt:

    ipconfig/release

    ipconfig / renew

  • Blue Screen Driver IRQL blue screen of death Windows 7 Ultimate edition and Windows Vista

original title: BSOD Driver IRQL blue screen of death Windows 7 ultimate and Windows Vista

I get the BSOD, and they are different every time.

I had originally Windows Vista on my pc (HP m8300f) and it worked fine for 3 years until last month, I started to have these BSOD.

So I thought a new clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate would solve the problem. Well, I was very happy to get the new operating system installed, but a few hours later that darn BSOD appeared and im now distraught.

What is my RAM? My drivers? My hard drives?

Computer IM but I'm certainly some type of technology. I have basic computer knowledge and that's all.

You can download minidump files and find the information system here in this zip file http://www.sendspace.com/file/mfx420

This issue is very very irritating and has ruined a lot of my work.

Well up to now (18 hours) my computer has not had the BSOD and what I did is that I removed 1 GB of ram for my motherboard. Their were two sticks of 512 MB. I took them both. Now, I have 2 GB of ram running in my system and had not had a BSOD or an error after you have done this.

What is the problem with my ram? I now have 2 sticks of RAM on my motherboard and both are 1 GB each stick. What is the mix n match that causes a problem all of a sudden? My computer came with this stock of installation. I also noticed the ram I got were the brand Samsung and the other on my motherboard are another brand.

Well idk I hope it was my problem. We'll see.

  • HP Touchsmart 600-1050 - Light flashing - unable to Post

I have a 600-1050 running Windows 7 TouchSmart I work for a friend.  He was surfing the web and said that when he clicked on a link in Google, the screen in black and ambient light began to blink.  I thought it was great, but of course, he was right.  As soon as you plug it in, the ambient light begins to blink approximately twice per second, very fast.  I'm guessing this has something to do with the power, but I don't know where to start or even if it is worth trying to fix since the computer is more than 4 years old.  I searched online and can't seem to find someone with a similar situation, so I hope that this forum is useful.  Thank you!
