HP Z800 work station recovery disk driver

I chose to reform my Z800 used office (bought on ebay). I tried extensively to perform all updates of 7-64 win, and no matter what I do, I get the same error message ("... (801) I'll reformat with win 7 64 bit sp 1 disc and then go through the process of updating the drivers using the hp site support downloads. Is it possible for me to order a possible driver disc is stall?

Hello:

If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number to order a set of recovery disks.

1-800-334-5144

Here's the catch... of Professional PC HP (at least those I've owned or possessed), you get a 2-4-disc set that you have to install in the order, and they install the operating system and drivers automatically.

In other words, it is not a separate operating system disk and driver disk.

A game normally costs about $10 shipped by first class mail.

I rebooted the machine, but when it restarted the DVD player was no longer recognized. Whenever I start the laptop now the Windows Boot Manager opens. It will not work. This recovery image cannot be started from a USB flash key.
I guess that your CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc properly. Who knows why
But you can try to copy the recovery on another disk CD or DVD using a different computer.
I noticed that the number of different CD/DVD drives cannot manage some disks

However, if you have the ability to copy this disc to another, then do it.
    Maybe it would work.

  • XP NOT work gateway recovery disk!

I'm trying to reformat (I Win 7 RC and it is about to expire) with my Gateway System Recovery XP Media Center drive, and it does nothing. When I start and press 'R', it goes directly to the connection of Windows 7! I do not understand this... I used this drive on Gateway computers not a few months ago and it worked... but I can not with the computer, it was intended? WTF. When you look in my disk drive folder, it shows all the content on the disc, so the disk has to work. I have to start again and then reinstall Vista on, since it is a disk of Vista UPGRADE I have to start with XP, that is so crazy. Anyone know why the installation of recovery is not coming and can I reformat the drive in a different way? Thank you.

You do not need to install winxp in order to use the upgrade to Vista, you simply boot from the Vista disc, start the clean install and insert the Windows XP disc when it complains.
I don't know if it works with your recovery disk, however.

Boot from your recovery disk would normally you have the opportunity to recover, how and which key press to perform a destructive recovery depends on the recovery disk creator (gateway)

  • Recovery disk/drive

    Hi all

I am the owner of my Acer Aspire 5742

(Product key Windows 7 Home Premium COSTS attached under the laptop)

The disk has been erased/formatted (don't know which but does not matter)

Now, when I try to access the Recovery Console (F10, sure enough, that I've tried it a week ago)
I like title, Windows 7 Home Premium, but when continuing he asks that the media!

Since then, I actually prefer the media anyway (ideally boot USB drive disk not clumsy), I thought just this phone Acer Support and get a (obviously with OS and, hopefully, it comes with all the drivers of origin etc.).
But... Acer support confirms the laptop is not under warranty, more they do not sell the media for this laptop any longer!

They directed me to my local distributor of Acer (computer store) that stated they will reinstall the default image for $120 (of course as long as the drive and all is ok), but will not provide the support (I think understand I can create my own image through eRecovery provided by Acer in the image, I hope)?

    Finally my question (s)

    1. can you please direct me where I can buy (?) the compound boot drive already including the OS and drivers? Since that time I could do it myself and I don't mind load several discs and finally download update drivers/applications that you have).

2 call me old fashioned but this laptop has XP?
Windows XP is a lot less resourses system being picked up in the background. I can easily disable all services tasks you name. But I just need to know if this will (in the sense of drivers - audio video network etc.) or to the meaning of the OS. Will XP really load on this thing. I'm sure I have a few key product somewhere here for XP.
Note: Not too worried about lack of support from MS, as I'm going to the image and to recreate the image back if it ever gets slow down (of course back up data and settings first)

3 do you think it is a reasonable cost for $120 recreating the image of Windows 7. Or y at - it something better, I need to do (other than Linux, since I have MS Office and I am more familiar with Windows anyway)

Stupid question? How dare I ask? If you know the answers and how to help, it's because I don't have
Windows 7 Home Premium? Oh I'm shuttering the idea to use this my next questions is going to be doing all this background stuff no longer work probably the image comes with everything! If I see the Norton trial, I'll go outside to smoke before you kill all instances of this

    Thanks again

  • Pavilion 4070 - us: new hard drive for the recovery disks do not work! Help!

Hi - the hard drive on my Pavilion 4070 - crashed us, so I bought a replacement - a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 256GB drive.  The problem is that I can't seem to get the recovery disks to work, and neither Microsoft nor HP is willing to help me.  Of course, Microsoft tells me they don't give me any help for Windows7 OEM versions and HP said that my product is no longer supported so they do not help me.  This is ridiculous - I own a legal copy of Windows 7 and I can't get any help from the company who sold me the computer?

What happens when I go through the process of installation with the recovery discs, is that instead of the Windows installation continue as it is supposed to, I have "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any."  I'm desperate, I tried two different options - one was the minimum image recovery, the other was a factory restore.  Nothing seems to work. What can I do?   Moreover, the original hard drive is not * completely * dead - I can still access most of the data on it.

  • Recovery disks do not work with the new hard drive?

    Hello, everyone.

I have a laptop HP (pavilion dv7-1245dx) and the hard drive is dead. I had never gotten to burn my recovery disks, so I ordered new ones from HP. When I installed the new hard drive and popped in the disk to reinstall the operating system, it gave me the error message:

"This PC is not supported by the system recovery discs. You can continue to recover this system with these discs. »

    Error code: 0100-30 FC-3602-3603

The original hard drive was a Hitachi, 320 GB SATA

The new hard drive is a WD 500 GB SATA

Any assistance anyone can give would be great. :]

    Thank you for your time,

EDIT: Trying to recover a Vista operating system

For anyone who has the same problem, I found a solution. I cloned the original hard drive using the Clonezilla fallback option. After using Clonezilla to image on the new hard disk, the partition which held that most of the data of the laptop is not mountable, however the partition containing the restore partition was a perfect copy. I turned on the computer, hit escape to access the menu (for a list of options such as boot order, etc, which included an option for recovery), and then choose recovery option. While the recovery discs, I received from HP refused to work with the new hard drive, the Vista restored cloned recovery partition without flaw.

  • Recovery disks will still work if I wipe the HARD drive?

Hey everybody! I have a quick question and I hope one of you can tell me if I'm about to make a huge mistake.

My HP Pavillion Dv6 had serious problems and chkdsk deleted a lot of clues. I worked on the problem of HARD drive and looks is not default (no bad sectors, only of weakness). I read that zero-filling can help with HARD drive problems.

My only question is that I don't know if I'll be able to just reinstall after I have zeros, because the building programs will be wiped. I have an application and Driver Recovery CD and a DVD of system recovery that I have used before. These will still work if I have zero filling? Or I need something else?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Sadie

    Hi Sadie,

Yes, your recovery disks will work if set you to zero the whole HARD drive (they would also work on a new HARD drive if you need to replace the existing one).

When reloading the operating system, you choose the "Factory Reset" option will reinstall the OS and recreate all the original scores.

    Kind regards

    Hi, Nick:

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience in troubleshooting these special software installations.

We should expect to download and install.

If they are not, I have no tricks up my sleeve for you to try.

I recommend starting a new thread describing your questions with this software and hope that someone else in the support forum can help you with these items.

  • The recovery disks do not work for the hard drive replaced in my Presario CQ4010F desktop PC

    Hi all

I have a Compaq Presario CQ4010F Desktop PC (Windows 7 64-bit) in which the hard drive went bad. I bought a new hard drive which is a 1 to, the failed drive was 500 GB. So, I ordered disks system recovery, four in total. The disk labeled 'Use this first!' appear to be running fine, then prompted me to launch the next disc, which I assume is the 1 of 3 system recovery disk. With the computer, always, I inserted the CD 1 of 3 and have waited and watched as nothing has happened. I restarted the PC with the 3 disc 1 again and that will inspire nothing happened. Any help is appreciated in this matter.

    Hello:

If you can't get the recovery disks to work (don't make sure that the keyboard, mouse and monitor are connected), then you can make your own windows 7 installation DVD and use that to at least get windows 7 installed and your PC back to the operation.

    Here's how.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Windows 8 - recovery disks do not work with the new hard drive

My HDD had major errors of io only 1 month laptop warranty. I can't clone the original disc, its dead. I'm relatively new to Win8 but I bought the factory HP recovery disks for my model and have tried repeatedly to restore the OS win8 without success even after support technical advice ofHP and several friends with more experience than me (and I got an A + cert for more than a decade)-I have no idea why he keeps fails. I ordered another set of discs and tried another new hard drive. The log shows all the hardware in the way and a sysprep not found error at the end. What Miss me?

Problem solved! After another half-dozen recovery more attempts and lose more money on a new HP certified hard drive with the correct part number, I decided to give up Windows 8 and turn this laptop in a Hackintosh, I now on Mac OS X!  Microsoft has gone too far now, only not with the security of windows, instead of trying to make sure they get every penny they can from each PC running windows. His self defeat really. Those who cannot or do not want to pay the cost will simply find an alternative. I'm just tired of the headaches and of constantly having to spend my precious time proving that I have a valid OS license for every computer that I've updated or repair. Forcing people to buy the same item several times is aggravating and false. Sorry, just fan frustration.

  • Recovery disk works does not after replacing hard drive Pavilion dv7

Hello. I have problems of replacement of a failed hard drive in my HP Pavilion dv7-6154nr notebook running Windows 7. New HARD drive seems to install OK, but I get a Windows Boot Manager error when I try to run the recovery disks created when the system was purchased. The message says "the boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible" "status: Oxc000000f. I changed the boot order in the BIOS to boot from the internal DVD player but continue to make the same mistake

More info: I upgraded the HARD drive from a Toshiba MK6476GSX - 640 GB - 5400 RPM for a WD Black 7500BPKTSP.  I don't see any info in the new HARD drive in system information / BIOS so I don't know if it is recognized. However, it take and pass a diagnostic test.

    You are the very welcome.

If you have a problem to find drivers (such as the wireless, unless you already knew what the wireless adapter model you have in the PC, you will not know which driver to install).

Just after the hardware ID's for all you can't find the drivers.  Who need device drivers appears in the Manager for devices with a little yellow. brand and labelled with material generic terms such as a network Contoller or PCI device, etc.

  • Recovery disks will work on my new hard drive

I bought recently a new Western Digital hard and I was wondering if I can use my recovery disks that I did on my old drive to the new drive, so it would normally be like my old drive before?

Not quite, what you have to do is open the CD/DVD drawer, while the laptop is turned on, to leave the drawer open and tap down.

Insert your first recovery DVDs and close the drawer.

When look for a starting message down to bottom left of the screen that says "press the ESC key to start options" to do this, and you will have a number of choices. Go to f9 and press ENTER.

Choose to boot from the CD/DVD-ROM internal drive and press to enter.

Now, who will start in your first recovery DVDs. It ejects automatically when finished and ask for the other two.

You could also simply start typing the key f9 to start upward, that you will also get the right window.
