  If you use Windows, you can use Paint.

  Painting still works and is included in Windows 8.x, is told by the way!

  1. a copy of your file first that you don't end up flipping around your original file.

  2. open the new .jpg file in paint

  3. on the Home tab, click on 'Select' > > select all

  4. next to the 'Select' box blue, find three icons.  The third icon from the top down is the command "rotation / flip.

  5. Select the small arrow next to the icon "rotation / flip ' > > select"Flip horizontal ".

  6 save the file under a new name

  7 print the file

  Pouf!  Easy.

• Photosmart HP5520: 5520 HP Photosmart Memory Card Error

  My Photosmart HP5520 will print from my IPhone and IPad wireless, however, on the touch screen memory card error appears saying "memory card error. Please remove the memory card. There is no memory card in the machine and I tried to unplug and disconnect when turned on several times. Can anyone help please?

  Please try an another hard reset, as described in this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

  Then I would try to make sure that the firmware in the printer is up-to-date. Get updates of the printer.

• HP Photosmart 5520: Duplex HP5520

  Please can someone advise on Duplex (duplex) printing a PDF file by doing a HP5520 connected to an iMAC computer.   I don't see any option for it in the settings.

  Please, try to open your PDF file using the preview and let me know if the duplex option is there. It seems that the issue might be specific program and drivers not associated.

  Hello everyone

  I wonder if someone can help me.  I bought a HP5520 all in one printer this week.  I have put in all and I have no problem printing on my WiFi, but it will not scan.

  I use an iMac computer with operating system of 10.9 Mavericks.

  I followed all the advice from other users on the Forum and on the HP website with no luck.

  I get the message computer scan can not be activated.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times with no success.  Regarding the HP utility there is the option "Enable the analysis to the computer", but it is grey so I can't select.

  Any help woud be appreciated.

  I see that you have problems with scanning.  I would like to help.

  I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

  I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

  After the updates, I recommend reinstalling the HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one software full function and drivers.

• Cannot find Roller HP5520 cleaning instructions

  I followed a link to the instructions of the printer HP5520. Unfortunately, he said that this document is not available. Can you please give a good link or send me a PDF of the document. • HP5520 - an error occurred during communication with the scanner

  A HP5520 for a few months and all were working well. But today does not scan wireless.

  I'm on a Mac OSX 10.9.2 imac and have reinstalled just the last bundle of driver on the HP website but no joy. The HP scanning utility will show the printer in the list, but throws up this error message:

  "HP Photosmart 5520 series-AirPrint is currently unavailable. Please check if it is connected and turned on, or try again later. »

  If I try to connect through system preferences printers and Scanners it throws up to the following error:

  "Year error occurred while communicating with the analytical engine."

  Any ideas?

  Don't worry, I've now solved with a stop down / reboot everything after you have reinstalled the drivers. I think that, maybe, last week cut off was to blame reboot on the mac has rebooted without the scanner is powered and the scan of the computer had not been activated. A restart of the mac corrected it.

• hp5520 wireless printer is connected to wifi, but not to the computer

  I changed my router and now my hp5520 is not found by my iMac, iPhone and other devices connected previously. I have reset the settings to factory default unplugged the router and turned off wifi Mac. I turned back on everything and put the wifi on the printer but nothing is not listed as being likely to be discovered.  ePrint works so its online and reports show its connected. How can I me he connect to the device again? It was working fine until the router has changed.

  We went to an eircom D1000 modem 2247NWG.

  Operating instructions said "to make copies of original thick, such books, you can remove the cover".

  No where does explain how to remove the cover. Several questions and answers on this forum explaining how to accomplish the withdrawal of cover on model 5510, but this does not work on the model 5520.

  So, how one removes the lid on the 5520 model?

  Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I see that you have copies of the thicker items with your Photosmart HP 5520. In the manual it advises to remove the cover, you can do this by lifting the lid straight up (not slanted) and carefully lifting it upward. To facilitate this, there is no button to eject or snaps.

  My own personal suggestion is to throw a towel above the lid of the scanner when copying the thicker elements, this will save the lid every time and will ensure that you are not damaging the material to printers.

• Photosmart HP5520: HP 5520 Photosmart All in One printer does not print

  I was away for a few weeks and when I got home that my HP 5520 would not print. Troubleshooting in devices and printers did not fix it. The full current confirmed printer HP S/W installation wizard and the drivers installed. The installation wizard produces a test analysis, but not a test print.

  Print and scan doctor also identities printer OK but cannot produce a test print, even if it did not produce a test INTERNAL page. Printing and scanning identified an issue with the S/W which "cannot be fixed without uninstalling and reinstalling" the software.

  Software reinstalled as suggested, but it has stalled on "checking network das" so reinstal is not completed properly I guess. Now, I seem to be less well off than I was before.

  I checked the print spooler and its running ok.

  I checked windows udates and they are all up to date

  I even tried restoring the system in desperation, but that has not changed anything either.

  I tried using just USB connect - no effect

  I have true wireless use only for connect - no effect

  I am running windows 10 on HP pavilion laptop.

  I'm running out of ideas on how I can print again, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

  This is the solution, for me at least. I was convinced there had to be a solution of windows related to this, but despite several attempts, I could not get the answers so ultimately I reset the PC and it took about an hour, but when he did all broken back in life and has worked as before. Bit of a pain having to reinstall software but it was worth it.

  Hi, I use Hp computers and printer for about 15 years and I usually know my way around them and settings.
  I regularly use my printer and switch between the normal and the best project on orinting options a lot.

  This weekend as my laptop updated his self, he was already on win 10, but there was an update a few days ago massive 2gig. many things are moved around a few missing drivers but generally its ok so far. I went to print this morning and found the Preferences menu has changed and is no longer an option for project or better as I have to click 2 menus now isntead of to actually print something. I HAV added one transform in image of the new menu coming afte after the standard menu M$ word I get when you click CTRL + P.

  Once you have downloaded and installed the full features software, you should be able to print and scan.

  The print properties should have the printmode draft, normal and best.

  I understand that you must run the Wireless Setup Wizard and enter your wireless password to establish a connection when you try to print from your Apple to your HP Photosmart 5520 devices e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Because the printer shows 'connected' but fails to print if you run the Wireless Setup Wizard, the problem you are experiencing is most likely in the router itself. When you have a wireless printer is really no area gray: it either works or it doesn't. If the printer fails to connect wireless, the wireless card may be damaged. If the printer connects wireless (even if it is intermittent) the wireless card works. Because your connection seems to be intermittent the router can be see your printer as a threat and intermittently block printing and scanning wireless two-way communication. That being said, there are a few troubleshooting steps that we can attempt to create a more stable and reliable wireless between the printer and Apple devices.

  Powercycle router:

  The next time the Wi - Fi connection problem occurs, do not run the Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer. Instead, you're going to have to powercycle your router. This step will also prove with certainty at 100% if your router is the origin of this conflict of connectivity. If your printer is working well after the powercycle, then the router is the cause of the connectivity problem.

  1. Start by unplugging the power cable to your router
  2. Once your router is unplugged, turn your printer off
  3. Then, shut down your computer
  4. After 30 seconds to 1 minute, plug your router back in
  5. Then, turn on your printer
  6. Turn on the computer

  After a few moments, your internet connection will return. Please check on your Mac you are able to navigate to Web sites. Once the internet is to answer, test print. If printing works fine now continue to use your printer as the question can not return.

  If the question comes up, ports and settings will be verified on your router.

  • Ports to open and settings to adjust the router:

  If you don't know how to check the ports and parameters listed below, you may need to talk with the manufacturer of your router for assistance.

  Ports to open:

  • The incoming Ports (UDP): 80, 137, 138, 161, 427, 44
  • Coming out of Ports (TCP): 137, 139, 427, 5222, 5223, 9100, 9220, 9500

  Parameters to be set:

  • MAC filtering must be OFF
  • Firmware on router must be updated
  • Firewall on the router may need to be OFF for the test
  • The multicast must be turned on
  • Hello must be activated
  • If you use a dual band router, make sure you printer and devices are connected to the 2 ghz band. Printers are not supported on connections to 5 ghz

  After made the settings of the router, please test wireless printing and scanning to confirm that the problem has been resolved.

  How do you print photos perfectly before? You cannot "Slide width guides inward until they touch the paper" with A4 papers are still on the feeder of th. You have to removw A4 papers and do the following:

  • Insert a stack of photo paper into the paper with front tray and edge printing runs down.
  • Slide the photo paper until it stops.

  NOTE: If you are using a tabs perforated photo paper, load photo paper so that the tabs are closest to you.

  • Drag the guides to the width of the paper inward until they touch the paper.
