  I bought a legitimate copy of Windows 8 Pro and have acquired two films through video, I also have a Netflix Xbox account. Whenever I try to view purchased videos or play a movie through Netflix, I get the following error.

  After much research, I understand that it may be caused by a combination of different things.

  • AMD video drivers
  • Hyper V
  • Windows Media Player/Xbox Video bug
  • Bug in Windows 8

  Here's my computer specification

  

  

  As you can see I have the latest driver installed, I also tested video playback of these applications on all previous versions of the video driver. I need also Hyper V and Windows 8 (as what) for work so these things can not be compromised.  I also opened messages in the following forums so please do not try and direct me to someone else.

  I had the problem as well. I solved it by uninstalling Hyper-v.  Not a great solution because it is the reason why I went to Windows 8 Pro.

  Of course, if you run these programs inside of a virtual machine, it does not help.

• Hyper-threading and vCPUs

  A few years ago I was working with VMware Server 1.0 on Windows 2003. I had 2 servers with VMware Server, one of them has a CPU Intel Hyper-thread, and the other has the same Intel processor but with HT disabled.

  I had a VM running a 16-bit application, which took all the cycles available CPU. When this run on non-HT Server virtual computer, the Windows host reports 100% CPU usage. When the virtual machine running on the active HT server, host the CPU utilization was 50%, and the Task Manager showed the virtual machine, taking all the cycles of a demi-processeur and the other half processor almost in slow motion.

  Assuming that the processors are equal, I think I know that the virtual machine has got more CPU power running on non-HT server to run on HT-enabled server (because HT divided by 2 CPU and just one half CPU is assigned to the virtual machine).

  My question is: what happens with HT on ESX?

  When I assign a vCPU virtual machine, it will use just half a nucleus in a Hyper-Threaded Server, but a full kernel on a server of HT-people with reduced mobility? (assuming that no other virtual machines compete for resources).

  I recently downloaded Windows 10 and noticed FF goes really slowly. So in some way I have refreshed it. I knew that this would erase some bits of data, but now I am unable to restore things.

  It looks like an earlier version. When I go to any page FF, everything appears in a list. I can't choose a new theme, for example, b/c the Mozilla page cannot display graphics. In addition, I'm typing this in Chrome b/c there is no text box when I open this page in FF. I don't want to go back to Chrome.

  Deleted ALL cookies (I do it every night together with cache, but only for the last day or four hours, depending). I also had to play around with Ghost (allow facebook, twitter, yahoo analytics) and  Disconnect (disable on yahoo.com) extensions.  That seems to have done the trick.
  

  Regarding the SSL protocol, sometimes I get the warnings you mentioned. They do not make sense, because the sites are pretty reliable (banks and others). I try again a couple of times on google chrome too and everything is OK.

  Your observations are accurate. The 'suggestions' are previous entries in the same column that correspond to what has been entered so far in the active cell. The only direct user control is to activate the function turn on or off in numbers preferences > general.

  There are other ways to include or exclude items of suggestions:

  • To remove typos in the suggestions list, the user must correct the typos in the cell above the active cell. If they are more in the list, they won't be presented as suggestions.
  • To include selections added to the list, the user must enter these suggestions in the individual cells above the active cell and column where they are wanted as suggestions.

  There was a request here a while there is a list of suggestion 'live' similar to those of some websites, which offers a descending list of possible entries as a type in an input box.

  The only way I see to reach a solution similar to what you have asked is to use as many lines at the top of the non-en-tete of the table section to list the items likely to repeat in your table, and then hide the lines.
