  Let me start by saying that I am not new to Hyperion Planning. We encounter a weird problem in our Test System. We notice that some (NOT ALL) of our tour of webforms in readonly webforms. all the cells in the gray form. It comes to despite the fact that the read-only checkbox is not checked in the form as well as the security is fine on all dimensions; Basically, all the cells of the form are valid combinations.

  The form becomes readonly, and all the data on this form is always Wiped. This has happened only for two web forms so far. We took a lot of Calc (none of the Calc have cleardata command). We do not know why this is happening. Maybe it's a bug in the product... not sure. has anyone seen this behavior before?

  The table will give you a good idea of the properties that you can use for essbase.

  Planning properties are roughly the same that you would enter through web planning, so if you get stuck just journal in planning and check the properties on a dimension member.

  For applications in non-unicode mode, type script and plan worksheet names should be maximum 8 characters. But your artifact (FSTSOCT13) is to have 9 characters. Test by renaming the name of the script.

  And come to the rejected members, you are facing this problem only with the members of the entity? You are able to import other members of the standard dimension?

• Hyperion Planning crashes (ESSG_ERR_MEMORY)

  Hello comrades! I have a problem, Hyperion Planning hangs once a week. I looked at the catalina log and found something like 'exception Java Heap'. So, it's a fairly frequent problem, solution is to increase the size the Java heap through envoriment JAVA_OPTS variable max.

  So I changed it this way, after having read a few guides:

  Everything worked perfectly, until today. Today, many users are modifing data, so the server is loaded and crashed twice already.

  The error always refers to the size of a memory segment, it can occur when the main forms are open and there is not enough in the heap.

  There is also a Support Oracle doc on a similar question - "error when opening large planning form:"No Server backend available for a connection..." "" (Doc ID 789267.1).

• The Essbase 11.1.1.2 data through a 11.1.2.1

  All migrated data 11.1.1.2 to 11.1.2.1 Essbase? I built a brand new environment 11.1.2.1. Our old environment running 11.1.1.2. In the outline of the old environment, calc scripts etc. were stored on disk d:\ (d:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\app) and the data stored on drive e:\ (e:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\app) by using the parameter diskvolumes for the BSO cubes. We have also a few cubes ASO users reported to drive e:\. In the new environment, I installed on drive e:\ essbase, so everything should end up here on a single disc. In the old environment it has been installed on the disk d:\.
  
  Can I create a new app/db on the new server, copy all of the objects on disk d:\ on the new server, export all data and import the new server? I read a little on an essbase, staging of tool. Has anyone, has used up a configuration of two disks for a configuration of a disk? We have also about 600 GB of data in the cube. Is there a limitation of size with this tool?

  Personally I would not recommend copy all the files in this way, if it's a migration then I tend to go for the migration wizard in environmental assessments and to export/import data separately or go down the official road of the upgrade via the path supported.

  One method is to customize the KM.

  If you right click "IKM SQL to Hyperion Planning" and the option "insert."
  Name the option something like "ORDER_OPTION", then set it to text.

  Now, edit "IKM SQL to Hyperion Planning" and modify the command "Load data in planning".

  We don't support snapshot using MDX query command to export almost any segment of the IOP cube in a relational table. Once the export is complete, you can use Essbase loading rules for loading data in areas of interest. All these commands can be put inside a javascript or jacl command and then packaged as a script model. This script can be invoked from the IOP UI planning workshop.

  If you are able to connect to the server of Maxl Essbase.

  1. I suggest you to take a look at the Source of data for planning application. Since it is an Active/Passive with SSL configuration URL would now

  http://host: port/aps/Essbase? NOMCLUSTER = cluster_name

  Note: ssl = true is removed at the end

  It is unclear what exectly arrived, but looks like a change was made in the dimension entity planning (not EPMA) and then deployed (successfully).

  In essbase, we see that the entity dimension has only one member left for the appropriate plan types, as in the planning.

  If you remove members and then push that yes the essbase data is deleted, if you need back then you will need to go back to your restore process.

• Copy data from text - Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3

  Using Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3.

  When you copy a cell by using a calc script, cell A cell B, and the account type is text, if the user changes the text in the B cell, the text in A cell is updated with the text changed to B?

  Is there a way to avoid this, I mean, using text data type as if it were a number?

  Planning creates an entry for each new text in the relational DB. It does not create an entry if it finds an exact match and uses the id of the string that exists as value.

  If the value of cell1 is "Text1", after running a calc script to copy cell1 cell2 to cell2 is now "Text1" as well. There is only one entry in the table. Now if you go and change them to "Text1 modified", a new entry is added to the table for this cell. If you return to "Text1", no new entry will be created.

  So in short if cell B changes, the value of the cell does not change.

• Hyperion Planning and Essbase

  I have a question about how essbase is related to hyperion planning.  specifically, I would like to know if you can vectorize in essbase and then associate them with or have them cross to a hyperion planning an application.  I read that if you make a change to an essbase outline, and then refresh the hyperion application applications settings, including an outline, will be replaced.  It seems that master control is integrated with EPMA or hyperion planning because all the dimension and the main lines of work needs to be done here.  However, it seems to me that there may be times where you want everything works on and change the contour in essabase and have changes go through the application of EPMA, because it's maybe easier.  Is this true and if so, how do the changes so that they appear in the hyperion application that was created by EPMA.

  The flow is planning for Essbase, it cannot be reversed.

  If it's a planning request EPMA then the stream is EPMA > planning > Essbase
