I am unable to use USB Stick 2.0 as ReadyBoost

I'm playing a game that needs 4 GB of memory RAM. I have 3 GB. I heqrd that you can increase the RAM using a key 2.0 usb. Then I turned on Sysmain and tried my USB ReadyBoost. But it says:

This device cannot be used for Readyboost.

ReadyBoost is not enabled on this computer because the system disk is fairly quickly, so that the computer problably ReadyBoost will not accelerate.

Problem well here, I will not speed up the computer I want to just play the game who does not start without RAM of 4 GB.

So, how can I fix?

Original title: Readyboost

Hello

ReadyBoost is not a replacement of ram it's disk caching.

ReadyBoost in Windows 7 supports 8 drives and a total of 256 GB. For each device - the
device must have an access time of 1ms or less. The device must be capable of 2.5 MB/s
read speeds for 4 KB random reads uniformly over the whole device and 1.75 MB/s
Write speed for 512 KB random writings spread evenly on the unit. On a FAT32 device
the cache is limited to 4 GB and on an NTFS device, the cache is limited to 32 GB (these are on)
a device).

ReadyBoost need to access the device all the time and anything can die. He cannot live forever after a number of read/write. Performance reduces and don't meet ReadyBoost requirments. They are very cheap now, throw it in the trash or use for anything else and buy a new one.

    Hello

During the installation of Windows 7 or 8.1 using a USB stick - get the message "cannot be installed, it is a GPT partition.

I have 64 bit install discs for Win 7 and Win 8.1. These two install on my desktop in duel boot. I made a Flash DRIVE of each disk so I can install it more quickly.

Problem: I get the cannot install because it is a GPT partition.

Y at - there no way to make these 2 USB sticks work?

    Thank you, Brad

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

Your computer does not have Microsoft's Downgrade rights and you must buy a copy of Windows 7 with a valid Microsoft COA and product key.

The screenshots below is from a laptop HP 15 t-j100... options and the configuration on your computer screens may differ.

You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "Configuration of the BIOS start-up secure" on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

After you save the changes, the computer will ask you to confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.

If you install Windows 7 from a USB and see a message of "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing", it's because as 'System Configuration' > 'Config USB3.0 in pre-start' is set to 'Enabled '. This should be set to 'Auto '.

In addition, as the factory hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start using the internal CD/DVD UEFI or UEFI-Key/key USB to install Windows on a GPT-partitioned disk. Turn on or restart the computer and press "F9" or "ESC", then "F9" when prompted. Select the source of boot UEFI you use and you press "ENTER".

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hello

I have problems with playback music and videos via USB. I tried to format my USB for different file systems (ntfs, fat, ms - dos, for example) and video formats, but the screen is black, I launch the media player.

My TV has played with MS-DOS Format the photos, but no mp3 or divx/avi files. I run the multimedia player with 'video' the led of the USB stick flashes, but after a few seconds the led turn off (I think that the stick loses power).
My other TV (LG 55LE7510 55 '') plays all video files and mp3 without any problem (ntfs and video format *.avi)

    Someone has an idea?

    Hey,.

Have you tried another USB key and the same thing happens with another USB key? Usually, you use the FAT32 format for your USB key. Then the TV will be able to recognize it and all the files it contains.

According to the specifications of your TV supports jpeg files (USB and SD card), MP3 (USB) and video DivX SD (USB).

You can try to work around the problem, since I'm not sure that Acer was already an eRecovery on windows version 7 which allows to create USB recovery media.
