I can't open my local drive C & D

I can not open local disk C & D in 'My Computer', every time when I double click & try to open either C or D drives, Assistant of my computer will stop and I have to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to return to windows.

The only way I can open local disks is I have to open 'Windows Explorer' and there I am able to choose the drive and open it.

Thanks & hope someone can help.

Kind regards

    Hello

It seems to be a virus called protectfile.vbs or autorun.inf.

Follow the steps below to remove this virus from your computer.

    MoveOnBoot open

Go to rename Action-> rename file

A dialog box opens, select the file. Because these files are hidden files, you will not be able to travel and see. Please enter

Enter "C:\protectfile.vbs" in the section of the file selection.
Enter "C:\protectfile.html" in the section of the destination file. Enter OK.

Similarly, repeat steps 2 through 4 for the file 'C:\autorun.inf' and rename the in 'C:\autorun.html '.

Do not restart your computer. We have implemented moveonboot to rename the .vbs ProtectFile in only one of the disks.

Repeat step 2 to 5 for each disk. For example, if you have 4 drives on your computer (C, D, E, F), then you will have to rename '.vbs C:\protectfile', 'D:\protectfile.vbs', 'E:\protectfile.vbs' and '.vbs F:\protectfile' 'C:\protectfile.html', 'D:\protectfile.html', 'E:\protectfile.html' and 'F:\protectfile.html' respectively.

Even renaming file "autorun.inf" in all readers for the corresponding ' autorun.html' files.

Restart your computer. We have disabled the virus.

Now we will remove it completely.

    Reopen MoveOnBoot.

Go to delete Actions-> delete the files

You will not be able to browse and reach the files. Then click Browse and enter 'C:\protectfile.html', 'D:\protectfile.html', 'E:\protectfile.html', 'F:\protectfile.html', 'C:\autorun.html', 'D:\autorun.html', 'E:\autorun.html' and 'F:\autorun.html '.

    Restart your computer.

The steps above should solve the problem for you.

How can I map the drive so that it will be detected as a local drive?

Depends on intelligence and enforcement of Samsung Link needs...

Might be able to create a symbolic link to a local folder (unused) on a local computer and it MIGHT (* could *) can fool the Samsung app.

    symbolic link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753194.aspx

    so...

Map a network share directory, you can use this command:

    net use \\Server\ShareName

Then... If you want to access the network share through a location on your C: drive, you'll want to set up a symbolic link:

    mklink /d C:\Folder\NewShareName \\Server\ShareName

Now, when you browse to C:\Folder\NewShareName, you'll see the content of \\Server\ShareName...

Perhaps IF you could point to C:\Folder\NewShareName Samsung
(* NewShareName shouldn't exist in C:\Folder before running the command "mklink".)

  • The healthy Active Primary Partition: still can not Open Drive

I am trying to save files on hard disk for laptop using a cable converter with a USB to my desktop PC. It shows healthy in disk management, but I can not even open the player to access my files. I can't open even to run a top Virus scan. I think that the drive has a Virus and does not start by itself.
When I click on the drive, he said: "you must format the disk in drive F: until you can use it." "Do you want to format?

Is there something that you suggest?  I was hoping that I could just run a Virus Scan with the converter cable to connect to the desktop computer, clear the Virus, and then my cell phone would agree.

    Hello

If it is detected in disk management, you probably need to initialize the disk before it gets detected under computer

    Initialize new disks

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771486.aspx

Once initialized, you may need to format the hard drive. Once formatted the disk will automatically appear in computer.

Note: Make sure that you have backed up data before formatting.

  • My Hard disk drive (C) is full and can not save on my local drive (D)... Help!

I can't save anything else on my computer and I feel as if I had barely whether registered here initially. My (C) drive is almost full and my local disk drive (D) has so much space to this topic, but I don't know how to do as my default player. I tried following the suggestions of the people online, but nothing helped. Can anyone help?

The first thing to do is run the disk cleanup utility. Instructions here.

Then, try to move some files and folders. There are a few different folders, you can move from the C drive to the D drive. So let me suggest you only start moving your files, documents, music, photos and video from C to d. here are the instructions. You need to do one at a time. To find them, in Solution Explorer, expand the C drive, find your name under users and all your personal files are there.

After these two things, tell me how much space you have on C.
