I forgot password on Satellite C660 management sister

Hey guys,.

My sister recently gave me a Toshiba Satellite C660 and she forgot the password for administration.
We can go in the other account, but every time I try to download something it requires permissions on the account of administration.

Ive been trying to restore the laptop to do the repair system F8 thing, but I still need the admin password
Is the another way to restore to factory setting without;
Resets the password to disk
Admin password

Thank you??

I think that you can reinstall the operating system if you have the recovery installation disc.
The question is: do you have sister created this (recovery media) disc?

    Hello

    Can someone please help

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite C660/C660D for my nephew, we have forgotten the administrator password and we have not password reset disk is anyway around this.

    Thank you

    Hello

I assume you mean windows system password and no BIOS password. Right?
It s not very big problem if you forgot the password but if you mean the BIOS password then you are in trouble because the BIOS password can be removed simply by a Toshiba ASP. technicians

So I guess you mean this password Windows Start Notepad, and then press F8
Now you can choose to fix my computer, then choose disk HARD recovery.
This could start a HARD drive recovery procedure that would be to reinstall the system during installation, you can set password admin anther.

Of course there are other methods, but as far as I know this requires tools/3rd party software or Win 7 DVD so I think that drive HARD recovery is the fastest solution.

  • Re: New Satellite C660 blocked by password

I know this will sound silly. but I'm an ODP buy my first computer (for the wife at Christmas) and I don't have any idea what I'm doing. We bought a Toshiba Satellite C660 - 28 tons Saturday

During installation, it asked my wife to give it a name who did and she did also a password. She has set up ok and was able to access the internet, etc.. Later, she turned off and concluded that she could not use it again. When she starts the computer name is ok, but when asked for a password, the password chosen does not work. We have tried everything, every variation of his password etc etc and cannot enter into the computer again

What can we do? our password does not work, and we do not know how to enter a new. Can someone help or advise what we can do? We have even not yet guaranteed. Thanks a lot if you can help.

    Try this first.
Turn on the laptop and then press and hold F8. A screen should open with different options, using the arrow cursor / keys select "safe mode with networking". I hope that you will get a login with 'Administrator' as one of the users screen and if you select this account, and there will be no password. I suggest that you use "help and Support" of the Start button to see how you reset the password.

If you now have your machine backward, I suggest that you look at the creation of a password reset disk.

If you still cannot come back in the machine and then if you create backup discs, then you can restore the machine out of the box with them State

  • Satellite C660-15r - restore Windows 7 without password

I bought Toshiba Satellite C660-15r off someone, but the problem is that there is a password at startup upward.
It's very well because I was about to restore it somehow but when I go to the restoration of windows you need a password to access.

Is it possible to reinstall windows with using windows restore. I really hope that someone can help you.

    My advice is to follow:
When you buy used laptop install OS again to have the own operating system preinstalled. Use the Toshiba recovery image, if possible.
Just a question: do you mean password BIOS or Windows login password?

If the previous user has put a password, you need and without that password, you can do nothing.
If the pre-installed OS is locked with password login, you can install OS using recovery DVDs and you don't need any password for it. I just hope that the previous owner has created this recovery DVDs.

  • Satellite C660 - no card wireless network in Device Manager

I had a Satellite C660 for months with a preinstalled operating system.
I've never had a problem with my wireless until recent days.

I checked Device Manager and it seems that the wireless card is missing,
I tried reinstalling the drivers but it stops immediately after extraction.

I did a full scan and found nothing, I am at a loss,

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Andy.

    Hello

You see yellow exclamation points or unknown devices in Device Manager?
These devices will appear if the driver is not installed correctly.

Otherwise, it might be possible that Wlan module is dead.

  • Re: Satellite C660-21Z - password lock

    Hello

Again Toshiba Satellite C660-21Z which I set up with no problem and all updates loaded
I can't get past the Welcome screen and the message is to reset the password with the use of usb flash stick and password recovery disk.

How to do this or what I can without having to take the entire batch instead of purchase?

    > Have new Toshiba Satellite C660-21Z which I've implemented without problem
Does that mean exactly? What do you mean with Setup?
You started your laptop for the first time and preinstalled OS has finished setting up, right?

Do you have a Windows account password?
Sorry, but I don't know what your problem is.

  • Satellite C660-10 d - missing Fn + F8 wireless switch

    Hi people,

I hope someone may be able to help...

    I have a Satellite C660-10 d (p/n: PSC0LE-00j00JEN)...

I just reinstalled Windows 7 (Ultimate x 64 of my own DVDs). I have all embedded applications and drivers going apart from the Fn + F8 Wifi on / switching.

The flash cards app shows along the top of the screen when I press the Fn, but there is no F8 wireless Panel and pressing Fn + F8 does nothing.

The Wifi driver is installed, and the WiFi currently on and functional, but may not be disabled.

    I've got these installed:
    Value Pack-20101130111348
    Card Flash Utility-20110519151724 support

Two of these two wifi drivers cause the same behavior:
    WiFi RTL8192ce_WindowsDriver 1005.31.1222.2011.F0066. P0830 ISS 1.00.0180.L
    WIN8 20121203105641
(this is the Realtek RTL811CE, according to Device Manager)

I have a Norton Ghost image even flavor of windows in which the Fn + F8 combination works very well, so I think I can be good for all hardware course (it's slow old installation, I am trying to replace).

I tried every variation of every driver or app that I can find, but the results are either WiFi seems to be installed OK but cannot be turned on at all or look at and connects OK but cannot be switched on/off.

Does anyone know the trick to get the Wifi Fn + F8 / stop function time showing and working with a fresh Windows installation please?

  • Satellite C660 - 1 DR - impossible to install the audio and video driver

    HY!

I just brought a Toshiba Satellite C660 - 1 DR today and I can not install audio driver, I get it on the site but when I unzip install is complete but still nothing is installed and I can't install the video card ATI Park XT 512 MB can't find the driver.

    Any help is great.

    Hey Buddy,

What operating system you have installed on your C660? Have you installed the latest Service Pack before you begin with the installation of the driver?

Generally, all the drivers for your laptop can be downloaded here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

If you have installed all the drivers, no yellow exclamation point shouldn't be in Device Manager. Did you check that?

  • While the Satellite C660 just games close

    Hello

Recently bought a Toshiba Satellite C660:

    i3, 3gig of Ram, Windows 7 64 bit.

So, I use this for my small business and it works perfectly, I love it.

However, last night, I played Football Manager 2011 and during the simulation, part graphic game relatively high, the laptop just closed, completely off, twice. In both cases, the fan was working overtime.

Should I return it to the place where I bought it?

    > Should I return it to the place where I bought it?
    Why that?
You can use your laptop for usual work?

As much as I know C series is not very good for gaming and I can imagine this laptop was simply overloaded and the result is off without warning.

  • Cannot use my printer on a new Satellite C660 - 21Q suite

new Satellite C660 - 21Q wanted to use my Lexmark 4600 priter obviously.
but I told myself at the bottom of the support microsoft. NET framework V.2.0
did; then RUN; everything goes well until 'Wizard' says 'impossible to run on a system 64-bit'
WHAT I can't use my printer on a new pc suite?

also downloaded thought framework 4.0 patch most recent would be useful. He did not. even after it ran ok

    Help

I just searched lexmark 4600 Windows7 64 problem and the solution in 2009/10 is cj4600Win7en64.exe downloaded from lexmark BUT I couldn't find it. Have you looked at the printer properties in Device Manager and tried looking for an updated driver?

The only other suggestion, I've got is open programs and features in Control Panel and click on turn windows features on or off. In the window that opens 1) read the text re filled and checked 2 boxes) at the entrance to .net and click sur-pour develop it can be helpful to turn on WCF. I know nothing else to facilitate the 'communications' and you have a multifunction printer.

The only suggestion another and another - has your laptop downloaded all updates of W7?

  • BOOTMGR missing Satellite C660

    Hi people,

    I have the Satellite C660
Initially, I had a virus and tried to reinstall windows, but not good.
When it came to the point of saying there was not enough space on the windows installation disc,
I realized that I had forgotten the bit score.

Now when I try to start it again, it's a black screen that says... BOOTMGR... Manager of... is absent.
When I try to start again, I get the same point on not enough space on the disk
so im going round in circles and not getting any case,

I think to make a new hard drive, but no one knows how to fix this before I have to buy a new drive... has soon

Missing Boot Manager is an error message that is displayed if the laptop can not find and start the common system.
Therefore, find the reason why the system cannot be found.
I think that its HARD drive problem. The system partition or HARD drive is probably faulty.

In my opinion, you should access the BIOS and check if the HARD drive is listed on the first page of the BIOS.
In case it does not appear in the first page of the BIOS, the HDD isn't recognized and, therefore, I think that it must replace it before you try to reinstall the system.
