I have a 2 TB USB (USB 2.0).

I tried to use Time Machine this weekend. After 2 days and nights he had only supported 9 GB out of 150 GB total. "Way to slow to be useful as any kind of a backup. How this Setup go faster? MackBook Pro 15-inch, mid-2012, ElCapitan 10.11.6.

Well, unfortunately, a USB 2.0 stick is about as slow as it gets.

Your MacBook Pro should have two USB 3.0 ports.  For starters, you get a USB 3.0 and to achieve an improvement of 10 times in speed, 480 Mbps (USB 2) up to 5Gbps (USB 3).

You also have a Thunderbolt port, which is still faster than the USB 3, up to two times.

    Hello

do I have to format my USB fat32 or exfat?

    Thank you

Well, exFAT is native to Windows and Mac OS X and some Linux flavors were added; others may be added. Consumer electronic devices such as DVRs or Smart TVs may not be able to read NTFS, but they will likely read exFAT.

  • I have two devices gpib-usb-hs; two of them work in MAX, but will only work in labview, help please?

    Hello

For my application, I need to communicate with two instruments by using both devices gpib-usb-hs. I use Windows XP, Labview 6.1, MAX 5.1 version and NI488.2 version 2.42. I checked and this ni488.2 driver should be compatible with my devices gpib-usb-hs and my versions of windows and labview. I also tried versions older and more recent NI488.2 without success.

I can communicate with my instruments properly in MAX, tell me that the devices themselves are functional. When I try to connect with my instruments using labview (using the example of gpib of labview), only devices gpib-usb-hs communicates with success. The other device returns the EDVR error: connection to the device or driver error.

I don't really know where to go from here. The only thing I found strange was that the gpib-usb-hs work was has an alias name assigned visa while the unworking device does not. I tried to give him an alias name, but this did not help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are many free tutorials on GPIB. It should explain how the various instruments can be connected to a single controller.

That being said, even if it's unnecessary, you should have no problem with multiple controllers on the same pc. The two being connected, they pass all the tests in MAX? You are using an old driver and seem to have tried several different versions. I suspect a driver issue, and I advise you to uninstall all the drivers GPIB and VISA and then start again. But not all necessary can be done to satisfy your curiosity.

    Hello

In each memory space is reserved to system files or material information, and there is nothing to do with drivers.

As in my previous post says that the storage devices are measured in bytes and when they are converted to GB, there is a difference in the size of the memory.

If you take any flash memory, pen or external hard drive memory drivers appear exactly that, there will be variations.

You can even check with another computer, and the result would be the same.

  • I have a 16 GB USB Firebird and the size on disk is only 14.9 GB

    Hi all

When I format my usb drive, all I can get is 14.9 GB. Is this normal?

and one more thing. I tried to format it like a chrome OS boot disk and made a big mess. Finally I managed to return to a single partition. This thing with the chrome operating system changed the default settings of the drive so I want to know what is the default allocation unit size (when formatting)? I think it's 4 096 bytes before I ate with it, now its default 8192. I don't know what was the default allocation size, so I need a number for an answer.

    Thank you very much!

    I.K.

    (2) when it is asked to select the extracted directory, make a note of the place where it is installed. Way the easiest would be to tell it to extract them to a folder named HP on the desktop.
    3) navigate to the installation folder extracted (using the Desktop\HP in this example)
    4) go into the subdirectory "Setup" (Desktop\HP\Setup)
    (5) move, delete or rename the Intel USB System Check (usbready.exe) utility
(6), double-click on the setup executable in the main extraction folder (Desktop\HP\Setup.exe)

  • I have a solid year Usb webcam (syc8368) and when I try and install the driver for windows 7 it never works. Help, please!

I don't really know how old the webcam is, as this is where I downloaded the driver as the official Web site happy new year seem to take does not support the webcam more: http://www.laptop-gate.com/en/driver-usb-web-cam-solid-year-syc8368/

The driver .inf file indicates "this file contains information for installation of digital cameras NW800 for Windows 98/2000/ME."
Extract the files using a utility like 7zip to a temporary folder. Right click on Setup.exe in the folder and choose Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab, and in the drop-down list, choose either "Windows98 / ME ' or 'Windows 2000 '. Click on apply, OK and then double-click on it to run it.
It may or may not always work; It is a material that is quite old, built originally for Windows 95. Compatibility mode is your best bet, in my opinion.

  • Already have a bootable Windows 10 USB, can I use it with Bootcamp?

Already have a Windows 10 USB bootable. I converted to an ISO using an Apple Guide file. Bootcamp says:

In addition, on Bootcamp it shows Windows 7 or later version instead of Windows 8 or later.

    1. Please make sure that your USB Installer is not an installer 32-bit/64-bit mixed. If it is greater than 4 GB, it's a mixed Installer.

    2. Please download an ISO 64-bit of the https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/home for your desired version of Windows. You may need your product key for Windows 7.

  • Windows Explorer stops working whenever I have connect a USB flash drive and try to access

    Hello. I use Windows Vista.

I had a particular problem. Whenever I have plug in a USB key and try and access it, I get a pop saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working." the file is closed. If I wait a long time (i.e. 10 seconds), I might be able to get into the drive without any problems, but even when there is no guarantee. The problem persists in each USB slot I use. In addition, it is not that the computer is not able to detect it. It can detect and identify that it is a USB flash drive. It's just that whenever I try to access (or the folders inside the flash player), windows Explorer stops working and restarts.

Does anyone have this problem before? And any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The mistake made reference the MSVCR80.dll, which is a Microsoft file, but it may be another third party file, causing the problem.
