I have limited access to windows

Again, I try to write what I've been cut off as soon as I finished the last time. Here goes.

I was getting the error messages from Windows Update, microsoft asked for help on how to fix.

Nothing worked, so finally they advised me to reinstall my Opertating system.

I knew that I had to back up files and I saw the message that I would not be able to access from the new facility, but

could access something like Windows.old, so I went ahead and re - installed.

Disaster!  All files lost but worse yet... all done laptop now is to download and install without as much as goodbye your leave...

I cut OFF... butts in and now finally took my admin rights, and I only have limited access

Only e mail, without tab, no link, no sound, no button start... nothing.

I called Dell, but told me that I don't need product key, that this laptop comes pre-installed.  I bought at Tesco.

However, to get the key of product and Windows authorization request.

I'm almost in tears with frustration. any help welcome. Liz

Hello xLiz

I can help with the serial number. You said that you have an email with the serial number, but to check it try the following to make sure that it is correct. You can retrieve the serial number of your bios, as long as the company that bought the system made no changes in the bios. First off your system. Once it has powered completely down, turn it back. As soon as you see the Dell logo screen immediately start to press the F2 key several times. This will load the bios. In the main bios screen, you will see the serial number. All Dell computers have the label of service that are stored. Note the serial number and if you see another number called the Express Service Code you want to write this one as well. Do not make any changes in the bios. Press the ESC key and exit the bios. I hope that helps you to check the serial number. Also, to see if the system has left no warranty or for more information about your system, click on the link below and enter your Service tag. I hope this helps.
* Edit *.
Another way, you can check your service number is to go to www.support.dell.com. Once you are on the site, click the drivers and downloads at the top. You will get a pop box asking you how you want to search for your system. Select the option chosen by the serial number. The next window will present you with an option to enter your service tag or you can select the find my Service tag. Select find my Service tag. A window appears asking if Dell can scan your system, select Yes, I agree. You can get a notification asking to install DellSystemLite. Allow to install. After the installation you will be presented with a picture of your system and the serial number appears directly under the name of your system.

    Hello

A message in the small window that says connected wireless does not mean that you really have a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the wireless router. (WIFI hotspot).

Linking the means of router you can enter the IP base of the router in an address bar in one go, being able to connect, see and configure the router menus (extended to the wireless router manual should explain how to do).

If it will not connect to your wireless router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

Make sure that if there are teas from Wireless Utility of seller does not work with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

Firewall software can block traffic Local to the network that you are trying to use because it is not set to the network Zone Trust.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

  • How to have full access to Windows

How to have all access to this window?
When I bought it with the money, then it must be mine property, so! Why don't I have full access to all his files and all services?
If this is possible (maybe I don't know on this subject) please please send me details if I change in the local policy or any other MSC...!

Hi rahuldhiman, I have shared your question in a new conversation because she was not related to the previous topic.

Already, you have full access to your computer, if you have configured your administrator account.  This means that you can access all files on the computer, even the files that belong to other users.  You can also change the passwords of other users and other administrative powers.  It's like 'root' on a unix system.

Please note, however, that even administrators could occasionally see "access denied" messages. There are legitimate reasons for it. For example:

    1. Junction Points
they look like folders, smells like records and even could be files in previous versions, but they are not really files.  For example, there is no folder named "Documents and Settings" on Windows 7.  The "Users" folder takes the place of it.  But for compatibility, a junction was created with the name "Documents and Settings".  So if you have enabled the display of hidden and protected from the operating system files, you may see this fake file. If you try to access it, you will get "access denied".  Not because you are limited, but because no folder actually exists.
    2. Safety and least privilege user / User Account Control
It is dangerous to always have administrator privileges, because any virus or malicious software which can run (or you cheat in the race), would immediately have total control over your computer. Instant infection.  Which is not good, so your ability to modify the system files (such as C:\Windows\System32) is automatically reduced.  Yes, you can still "own" and "change security" so that you can edit these files (because you are the administrator, you can do anything), just because you CAN does not mean you LIKE it.  If you do so, your data and computer security would be at risk.

    Hey guys,.

I have a Dell Latitude D620 with 4 GB of ram and a processor Intel Core 2 Duo running Windows 7. My wifi is stuck on a limited access. I tried several different things and none have worked. All other devices in the House connect to the same network so I don't think that the router is the question. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Limited - access Windows couldn't automatically bind IP Protocol on the network card batteries

When I try to connect to the internet, I have limited access. Troubleshooting, I get: Windows could not automatically bind piles of IP Protocol on the network card.

I tried to reset the TCP/IP stack, using the netsh command, but I can't always connect

    Hi Hellscream,

This thread offers several solutions for the same issue:
    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7network/thread/b9277eb2-7158-4724-A272-c46433b983c6

The most common solution has been to remove and then reinstall the antivirus or firewall. I would give that a shot and see if that helps! If this is not the case, try some of the other solutions on this thread to see if they help!

  • P7 - 1446 s: limited access - unable to load web pages

Even though I am connected to the internet, web pages does not load. Fault-finding, he said: I have "limited access" (I tried the rigid cable and the woman - same deal, no go).

Thought it could be my ISP, I was on the phone with support from AT & T and we conducted tests and ping showed packets leaving and entering normally and I can connect to the line I play, but does not load Web sites. No home page, no email, nada.

I'm not a geek, so I have little expertise.

Interesting that AT & T support could not help.  When this problem occurs, it could be a virus or malware.  It can also be caused by your antivirus software - imagine that.  But first try to reset the battery.  SEE HERE for a discussion.  Reset in the last section also applies to Windows 7.

  • Limited access during the trial version?

Hello! I just installed both Ps and Lr trial versions, I am tempted to play with some of the features that I see mentioned in the start of the tutorials, however the photo, I'm trying to edit does not appear in a visible image size. My question, not the trial version doesn't allow a greater visible image size you work or have limited access to the features until you buy. Thank you...

    Just getting started / beginner

Photoshop is fully functional throughout the test period.

You can meet limits to do with a particular image or the hardware that you are using.  For example, some features require the GPU acceleration, and some work only with the highest possible settings of GPU.

  • HP Pavilion g6 2210ss (Windows 8) with limited access

I use a laptop HP Pavilion g6-2210ss in a house where there are many different computers and laptops connected to a router via wifi and LAN. All computers are connected to the internet without any problems except the laptop mentioned.

This laptop is the only one that is currently running Windows 8. I tried ethernet and wifi on that computer connections and none of them worked; I can connect to the network, but I still get the warning message "limited access". If I try to open a web page, I get the message "no connection".

I tried to uninstall and restart to update drivers, select supplier list, netsh commands, routers... None of them worked. Any ideas?

    Hi HandyAndy14,

Thanks a lot for your answer. I solved the problem, two days earlier, sorry for not having informed here.

I found this information on HP Support website:

The problems of Internet connection to broadband (Windows 8)

I tried almost all the proposed solutions without success. However, the last of them work: HP System Recovery.

After the factory restore, I have had access to the internet as before. I'm just not day to 8.1, just in case.

At one point, I had a problem when the keyboard no longer works, but with the help of the virtual keyboard of Windows 8 and this link, I have found a solution:
Pressing the keys does nothing (the keyboard does not work)

I hope this helps someone else.

  • No access access/Limited - no access Internet (Windows 7)

    Hello

I was lucky enough to win a laptop in a competition and I'm having a problem connecting to the internet.

All I ever get is a limited access (which is basicallly no access) and need help.

If I enter the comnad prompt and type ipconfig I get

    • Autoconfiguration IPv4 address: 169.254.152.230
    • subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

I know that the addess ip of my router is 192.168.1.1, then I tried to set it as a default gateway but it makes no difference.

I have three cards. Connection mobile broadband (Qualcomm Gobi 2000), Wi - Fi Connection Netwrok (Atheros AR9285) & 2 wireless network connection (Microsoft Virtual Wifi). Of the three on the Atheros seems to try to connect (it shows an excellent signal strength) so I have that he has updated the driver and it does.

I don't know what else I can try. Can anyone suggest anything?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

There is something that is blocking the connection to the router.

    Please follow this process.

There is an inherent Catch22 to attempt to repair a computer wireless through wireless. Given that the without wire is not connected to the source, there is no interaction between the wireless source and the Wireless Client and no frame of reference to find what works and what does not.

As a first step, I will temporarily move the computer to a place close to the wireless router and plug with a wire.

When he works with a wire, switch Off the Wireless Security in the router, disconnect the wire and try to make wireless work. This must be done when the computer is always close to the wireless router to compensate for the weak, and or blocked the signal that could be part of the problem in the new suite spot work.

    In the computer itself.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.
