I googled url and is came up with what I thought was a a forum page, but it was another page of the scam, the url that has been http://mediaupdate15.com/418888/?v1=1 & v2 = 1 & v3 = 1 AND when I looked in my 'history', that the link had a greyed link that has been http://za1.zeroredirect1.com/zcvisitor/a7c6b420-12eb-11e5-bbcf-0a936b024545 that appears in my cookies in gray.

  If you have not downloaded anything, then most likely you are not infected. But it is worth checking:

  (1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This should help discover any install/updater that can push other unwanted software. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.

  (2) very probably, it was generated by an ad in the site, but please check for bad just in case modules.

  Open Firefox page modules using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
  • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste

I asked him his name and his number and told him I want to remind him. I asked him where he was and he said in Florida. I hung up recalled and another guy said (sounded like same Indian guy), and I asked him who he was with him help PC, and that he was in Delaware. I really hope that my computer is not hacked.   Microsoft has no idea who is running Windows and who is not and certainly can't tell if your computer is infected with malware.

  What you receive is scam calls from abroad callers get your name and phone number from telephone directories online and then call in the hope that there will be a gullible Windows user at the other end.

• I can do my email being hacked

  2 days ago my email has been compromised.  Several people are emails unsolicited computer is locked until I followed the instructions online, and it seemed fixed. I changed my password.   I am running 10.7.5

  But the same thing happened to our other Apple laptop, and we called the Apple Support phone number as it says online.  A man with a foreign accent helped us by remote control to fix things, but then he says that it would be $129 to optimize your computer.  This other computer is running OS 10.6.3. We have not said thank you, and he recalled the day after to sell again.

  These people are legitimate?  They sound like they are, and since I connected with the Apple support # that I've seen online, I thought it was OK.   But our other laptop is now locked up again.   They might install the software on your Mac?
