  • When you try to install Quicken 2012 on my laptap receive a "Setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." Have tried a number of corrections suggested by the seller, but no luck.

Uninstalling an older version of Quicken and all of its subfolders, used a utility of Quicken for clean system, deleted and reinstalled all .net platforms, tried installing using a user admin account and used the two install mode selective and secure, all with the same results. Seller now claims it's an operating system error, but I can not find similar problems in the forums.

Sorry, that I have no more insight to the problem install Quicken otherwise than to post in the forum of Quicken, be sure to include things that you've already tried.

As the msconfig error message is concerned, it's probably not related.  There is a service (IIRC, HP PML driver; see http://www.pchell.com/support/msconfig_access_denied_error.shtml) which causes this error message.

  • How can I fix error 1326 install Quicken 2013 in Windows 8

I'm running Windows 8 and I get the following error message (verbatim) when I try to install Quicken 2013 (or re-install Quicken 2012)

Quicken Failed to install - Exit Code: 1326

    The reason for this error:

    1326.error error file security: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\ GetLastError: 5

    _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Intuit tip of the finger firmly at Microsoft and said that it is a registry error.

It is aggravating me beyond words. The suggestions that I find are to reinstall Windows Installer (Windows 7 solution) or unsubscribes and re-0register the installer, which does not work either.

If anyone has any suggestions or better yet, solutions! I would be very grateful. Currently, I can not install any version of Quicken because this error occurs every time now.

    Thanks in advance!

Using Windows 7, I spent hours looking for the solution to this question - Intuit, Microsoft and all that I was able to Google.  I came across this answer on the Site from the TurboTax software, and in fact, it worked for me.  I should note that, instead of simply refer 2 folders, I Redid the security on what whether in files of program or lists lists common target Intuit or Quicken.  Maybe it will work for win 8 also.

  • Problem installing Quicken software

I tried to install Quicken Deluxe 2007 on a Windows Vista opperating system (that I learned that it was ok, even if the box says compatible Windows 2000/XP/2003.  The first time I put the disc, it has begun to install and update and everything seemed fine.  As soon as the Quicken updates were made and I thought that I would be able to enter the program, it locked up and makes the whole case "not responding".  Now, I think that if I would have let it go, he may have worked is present, but I don't know. Whatever it is, I have collapsed the Quicken installation wizard and tried again.  However, this time, the Setup wizzard basically jump to a screen stating that there was an interruption and the installation did not.  I tried to restart the computer, remove anything that was now on the computer after the partial failure of the attempt and then were without success.  Is there anyway to restore something that would back to how he has begun to settle that first time I put the CD in the computer?

Well, I could finally get things to work... so I wanted to meet this thred in case someone else had the same problem.  It's a little complicated, but it worked a second time when I fell into the same trap after I had loaded sucessfully to Quicken.  So here we go...  As it says above, and some people who responded to me (thanks by the way), there is a problem with a step of the update for Quicken 2007 when you try to run with Windows Vista.  (Now, to spoil the ending a little, if you need this particular form of the Quicken update for stocks and accelerate the payment, it is perhaps better to have a more recent version of Quicken that is Vista ready, that to mess with what I had to face.) Anyway, the first time I tried to install the program, I made the mistake to do this update of a step before I got the program up and running.  As it says above, the installation became does pluse and I had to close the program.  This affored all the icons of Quicken that have been placed on the desktop to be broken links/shortcuts. So, I tried to do a unstall with uninstallation of Quicken itself disk functionality, and it did not work.  Then I tried to unstall the normal list function Add/Remove programs in the control panel. It seemed to work at first, all of the icons on the desktop and the file have been removed, however, I have not noticed immediately that Quicken icon remained in the Add/Remove list.  So, I tried to start over with the disc of Quicken again to install the program, and it would allow me to do something.  It took me to a screen, modify, repair, or uninstall and no matter the choice, he shuffeled me up and said "interrupted installation" and the installation is not completed.  After fruitless attempts of different things that have been suggested above (thanks again), but nothing seemed to work.  Finally, he appeared on me to just try to copy the Quicken files in the program on my old computer files and place them in files of program on my new computer.  Now, of course it wasn't a real installation, so I wasn't expecting to work completely, but I had the chance of getting the answer.  When I copied the files into the new computer, I clicked on the application file "qw", which is the quicken launcher application.  Quicken have begun to open, but as already said, this was not a true install, so he directed me to uninstall, and then try again.  That's when I realized that my previous attempt to uninstall the program actually was not working, and that Quicken icon was still in the Add/Remove Programs list in the control panel.  Well, it worked this time, and everything was eventually withdrawn.  I went back to the original installation disc of Quicken and everything turned out as he did that very first time.  This time, I simply bypassed the update as suggested above, and everything was fine.  I entered all my transactions I needed and then saved my file as I always do.  Then I tried to do this update of a step, and of course, I came across the same problem, so I had to go through the uninstall of all, copy the old files, complete uninstall and then reinstall it again. (No data lost... phew!)  Now, because I use it just to keep my books, and I really don't need the stuff in line/stocks, I'll simply to avoid the update of a stage and not bad.  So, I hope this is useful to someone else and that you don't have to go through it, air conditioned and with confusion as I did.  I will keep checking on this post to see if anyone has the same problem and need help. I really appreciate those who have tried to help me above.

  • Windows 7 takes 15 min to start after installing Labview 2012

    Hello

I need help on this, is this a bug?

The problem is that on my laptop after installing Labview 2012, it takes about 15 minutes to start, this happens every time a restart or start my laptop.

At first I thought something with my laptop, but then my colleague also installed Labview 2012 on his laptop and has exactly the same problem, the difference is that his new laptop and is running windows 7 Professional 64-bit, mine is older and is currently running windows 7 32-bit professional.

I tried to disable the services NOR, but has not solved the problem, but when I disable all windows services that start at startup, the startup is fast.

Also note that I had Labview 2011 installed before and I didn't have this problem before.

Tried also to find something in the registry, but nothing.

Any who have this problem, or a solution to this?

    Thanks in advance

This problem seems to be resolved, but then he come back again a few days later

I did many tests in my laptop and found it to be in the "Service of Network Store Interface" service (INS). Disabling this service, you have your problem solved, but there is another problem, you lose the network.
This happens because the "DHCP Client" service depends on the national statistical institutes.

Also, this issue seems to occur only when the PC is in a domain and I'm in a windows server (Windows SBS2008) domain.

Then I found that if you set manual this services which depend on national institutes of statistics (DHCP Client, DNS Client, IP Helper, network connections, local awareness network) and also put INS manual
You must also disable the "Workstation" service that also depends on national institutes of statistics (why turn off? Because there are 3 services that depend on the workstation service, they will require to start, and then it will force NSIS to start, then long boot, if you really need of the dependent services on workstation, do the same as for them)
Not also need uncheck this services in msconfig window if they are checked, and then the PC will boot normally without a network.

When you start, you should go to services and start the DHCP Client for the network (and the other if you really need)
This will force also NSIS to start and other services that depend on the national statistical institutes.
The first time the PC restarts, you may need to reset these services to manual in the services window, I had to do, and then in sebsequent boots, they have been already set to manual
If you leave right on the dependent services in automatic or automatic (delayed start) it will force NSIS to run and start time will go to + - 15 min

Because you must manually start "DHCP Client" for the network, here's a solution to do it automatically after have connected you:
1 - Go to control panel, and then open administrative tools
    Task 2-open Scheduller
    3. on the right click "Creat fundamental task.
    4. in the first window give a name ("DHCP" for example) and press next
5 - Click on "When I Logon" and press next
6 - click on "Start a program", and then press next
    7. in the "program/script" insert: net
    8. in the "Arguments" insert: start "DHCP Client".
    9 - Press 'Finish' and you're done

    (1) never install two security systems on the same computer because of the possibility of conflicts like this.  Norton may have similar tools to what you were trying to install.

During the validation of the subjects as that one, don't forget to post your operating system of Windows and the computer make and model.

Recovery discs are here with your system?  Alternatively, did you create recovery discs?  Have you created a boot disk?

  • Error 'setup.exe has stopped working' when installing Quicken.

Original title: setup.exe has stopped working

I have read through the related forums and don't think I've seen a solid answer to this problem.  I'm trying to reinstall Quicken on my Dell Inspiron 530 Vista with service pack 2.  (Long and ugly tells how he got deleted at first - thank you, Intuit).

When I try to install Quicken, I get the above error message.  I tried the clean boot solution; I tried to enter the installation and execution of the exe directly from there; I tried to do a right click to open/run as administrator... etc.

I have NOT run BigFix.com or other third-party software to solve this problem - I'm very comfortable with another piece of software download and throw into the equation.  What is a corrupted registry and I have TO run third to fix?  Is it a bug of Vista - is there a fix of bug for her?

I really don't like that to 'guilty' at this point, I just want to repair and recover my electronic payments!  Help, please!

    Hey, Keenon,.

  • You can install Quicken 2004 on Windows 7?

A - that someone has managed to install Quicken 2004 to run under Windows 7. The installer tells me that the program was installed successfully on a CD. I tried options compatibility for Windows Windows XP Service Packs 2 and 3. The operating system the system tells me that the installation is not complete.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and after a bit of trial and error, I installed successfully Quicken 2004. Today, I uninstalled and tried two methods from scratch (to test what I had found).

    Method A:
Rather than allow automatic installation runs from the CD, I looked at the files on the CD and do right click on "start.exe" then chose "run as Administrator". The installation proceeds perfectly.

When I ran Quicken 2004, of course he wanted to get me into the "Installation key Code" to renew the license. I have done, but received a message saying that I had installed on another computer and asking me to contact Intuit to renew the license. As Quicken 2004 is no longer supported in the United Kingdom that would or would not have been a problem.

I had previously managed to install Quicken to a hard drive in my trial and error sessions, see below, so maybe it's what caused the problem of licence renewal. It might not happen for other people.

However, I then uninstalled Quicken 2004 and tried a slightly different method:

    Method B:
I created a new folder on my hard drive (say 'Quicken 2004') and copied all the files (and folders) on the installation CD in this new folder on my hard drive.

I then found on the file "start.exe" in the folder on the hard drive and right-click, select ' properties/compatibility and check the "run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3"

I then right click on "start.exe" again and choose "Run as Administrator".

Installation is still perfectly and this time my Installation product key was accepted without any hassle.

I think that the important thing is that Quicken 2004 installation must be "run as Administrator" rather than the usual.  There has been a lot of posts on various forums on copying some files and save manually different files but IMO that is useless if you run the installation as an administrator.
