  If you change the motherboard that you normally have to reinstall vista

  your hard drive if you ever reinstalled vista contains the drivers for the old motherboard etc.

  and if vista is pre-installed you can not put the motherboard unless you do so in collaboration with the computer manufacturer

  If a retail license, you can change the motherboard

  but you will normally always reinstall vista for reasons

  Easy things first.  Turn off the router and the printer.  Turn on the router and wait 3 minutes.  Turn on the printer and see if it connects to your router.  Status?

  If no joy, temporarily disable all security in the router.  Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password.  Status now?

  If OK, go back and add WPA2-AES with your simple password.  Status now?

• Printer will not connect via USB

  HP lj1022 printer will not connect not not via the USB port after the installation of the new driver upgrade hp lj1020/1022 for Windows 7 (64-bit).   Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try channel 1 first and then the other one at a time.  Make sure that the printer and the router are spaced at least 5 feet.

  However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.
