  OK, I tried 5 times to install windows 8 by using the downloaded Update widows Pro

  I've updated the BIOS and other drivers and the only issue is to use the upgrade wizard is UEFI is not compatiable that shouldn't be a problem anyway
  So here's the BLACK SCREEN problem, I get all along to install past loan, after adjustment of the apparatus, after preparation, all the way to the end and then it gives just black screen until I power it turns off or reset and says windows 8 could not restore windows I get no error code or any hint of why there not everyone had an idea Yes stay with windows 7 is an excellent option, but I would try and brand and make informed decisions.
  I have internet search and it seems to be a common problem for many different reasons - ideas - Ive tried more things ive read without success. Help please

  I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the Installation of Windows 8. As I understand it, you get a black screen during the Installation of Windows 8.

  1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

  2 are the external devices connected to the computer?

  Method 1: disconnect any external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and then install Windows 8 and check.

  Method 2: Select the edge device devices in device/integrated graphic of BIOS (Basic Input output device) and check.

  Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings.   I have a HP m9520f I bought a month ago. From time to time, it gives me a black screen when booting. The computer is on, but nothing happens. When I unplug the power cord and plug usually once again, it starts fine the next time. I tried solutions suggested by pressing F8 during startup. But nothing is going on (it started normally without any problem).

  The clues and suggestions are appreciated.

  Could be an intermittent hardware failure, try to open the housing, cleaning (using canned air) all, remove and reinstall the RAM and check the connections are secure. However, first, check the screen. Is the cable correctly connected at both ends, and the power cable is safe? You could test if it's not for lack of a monitor, if you have a keyboard with a sleep button, to set market and that, if the screen goes black, wait at least 10 minutes until it would have normally received at the logon screen. Then, press the sleep button and see if she falls asleep. Also watch the disk activity; If there is a lot that the operating system is probably start normally.

  Without a doubt make sure that the vents are clean and the fans are working properly.  This happens on any game or only some of them?  Windows 7, an upgrade or a new installation?  Did update you your video driver from the manufacturer website PC or video chipset manufacturer website?  If you have the video driver from the manufacturer of PC, you can check with the video chipset manufacturer site because they may have a driver more up-to-date.

  Hello!  Since a few days my PC was submitted to the screen black ("death") and the cursor when starting.  Boot sequence is very well until the desktop should appear and does not work.  I looked at many tips and tried a different ways to solve and I'm stuck now.  It does not seem to be linked to graphics cards, recent software installs, recent windows or application updates.  Anti-virus is up to date and ran the day before where everything has gone wrong.  Restorations to return do not resolve the months.  Deleting files newspapers do not resolve.

  The current data are:
  * boots in safe mode
  Turning off UAC allows computer to boot normally, only to find that most of the services have stopped included all the more important as Installer, Defender and one Live.  At this point I suspect a virus, I removed the network connection.  Any attempt to restart delay services and is unsuccessful.  Computer is basically unusable because of the number of services that have been suspended.
  * Used MS Malicious Software Removal Tool on full scan and found nothing.

  Any ideas how to fix?

  My next idea when I had the chance was to try the manual removal of the Win32/Conficker virus, which seems to have a similar effect on a PC.  This should have been taken/fixed by MS Malicious Software Removal Tool and is quite long on 28 stages!

  It seems that Windows Live One Care expiring caused my PC to implode and lose a whole week trying to determine what was wrong turned.

  I just reset the clock backward prior to questions, uninstalled, One Care, installed MS Essentials and put back the clock from the current date.

  Recently, I did a clean install on my PC. Then I downloaded GeForce and since my PC automatically updated an older version of the driver and installed Nvidia Audio and 3D vision drivers (THAT I don't WANT OR NEED), I chose the "Clean install" GeForce mode that removes Nvidia all previous programs and install the most recent drivers. Now, I did this because whenever I try to uninstall my computer 3D Vision driver manually it suddenly hits a black screen with the mouse still visible and stays there forever, unless I turn it off. But when this happens, the 3D vision driver ends up not be uninstalled. I did a clean install of GeForce could solve this problem, but exactly the same thing eventually occur. If anyone is familiar with the program GeForce or Nvidia drivers could help me it would be much appreciated. I'm not going to turn off my PC, because I don't want to damage the disc hard environment installation (which I continue to have to do, but then get corrupted and I have to perform a clean installation of Windows to regain space lost since corrupted files). But for some reason this black screen where the mouse is always visible, will not disappear.

  I found the problem, I think the drivers to reset my "resolution"setting"one incompatible with my monitor, setting the lowest possible at my screen resolution appears to have resolved the problem. The installation would be stuck as the pilots tried to change the resolution of the screen, a compatible with my monitor and be unable to make further progress. Fortunately, appears to no longer be the case.

So I checked the applications installed and found mysteriously installed latest Firefox with the former. So can anyone help me to stop the latest auto-install Firefox and leave only the old man?   my end of 2013 Mac Pro 6.1 (OSX 10.10.5) takes unusually long to start (a few minutes) since a few days ago.

  Verbose mode must be terribly long to load the boot.efi

  So the first step for me is to run the Diagnostics by Apple to exclude any material based questions.

  But neither pressing "D", nor the network launch base "Alt + D' Apple Diagnostics tool.

  It gives me just a black screen, no matter how many times I press on and wait.

  The monitor is 'active', so some sort of signal goes off, it's just black.

  Hi I have 3 year old Toshiba L300D.
  1 year back I upgraded vista to windows 7 Home premium.

  3 days back I had problem - my windows start page was hanged and was not forward, also all types of safe mode was stuck on classpnp.sys.

  After reading many forums, I started with USB (with windows 7) and use command prompt and all 'pcmcia' realted deleted files from drive C. Now using function F8

  I can't use any option (all the safe mode option, low resolution, restarting, etc. doesn't work, even in the Bios configuration changes will not work). Also now start my PC with USB, after the start of the windows black screen page appears with the white arrow and it will not go further this black screen so I can't even use now guest & installation option.

  Now, I don't know what to do :(

  The computer is 18 months old and can handle basic tasks to a reasonable level (slow down if two many windows are open at the same time, but maybe it's just my slow internet speed). I have download games through Steam from Valve service and do since almost a year now. So far, games have managed very well, and even though I have your chart down parameters, but they are playable.

  But now, every time I minimize or close a game, the computer runs for a few seconds and then shows me a white screen. The power light flashes and I can hear a high-pitched sound of the box on the charger cable. At the beginning I didn't see this as a problem because it only lasted about ten seconds each time and was taken to the 'locked user' screen where I could log in and continue.

  Now the black screen can display up to five minutes in a period which can be really frustrating. The strange thing is that I can play for hours at a time without what is happening but as soon as I close or minimize the game it happens. This can happen even if the game has only run for a few seconds or so and I close it.

  I don't know if it is overheating, but if I could get advice it certainly helps. Thank you!

  I was going to follow the procedure that you listed, but I found a solution to the problem. As there was light the AC adapter noise when the screen went black, I decided to replace the AC adapter with an old I use from another computer. It works fine now.

  Have you tried to install the OS using another drive or maybe you could start Notepad using a Live CD Linux Live CD or WinPE or PartBE?

  Please check because your problem could be related to the laptop computer part faulty (maybe the HARD drive) or defective recovery disc.

  Now it s not possible to say what could cause this and, therefore, you should try starting with other disks.
