IdeaPad Z575 sudden black screen dead State now.

Suddenly our Ideapad z575 died yesterday. We were just scrolling social media hollow and the screen went all black, all the front are turned on. And the only way to turn it off is to remove the battery. (pressing power 8 seconds does not.)

It now powers a State of death where all the lights are on. The fan comes into play. And then the fan goes faster after like 1 min. And just like that. Only way to turn off withdraws battery...

So far, we tried:

out of battery and the power of line button and press power for more than 30 seconds.

Turn it on without a battery, you use only the AC adapter.

Activate it using only the battery without AC adapter.

Same result on all time.

Someone saw something similar, we would really like to fix avoiding going to the retailer (as is more than 5 hours of travel to get there.)

Thanks in advance!.

R M.

Hi Rmeillo,

Thanks for posting your concerns. Stuy570 suggested would be a benefit for us all to get the machine going again. But I'm assuing that your machine is still under warranty and it would be best for you to contact our service team to get your machine looked at. If something is necessary to replace at least it will be covered by the warranty.

I hope this helps.

    Hello

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not read this information

the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Here's how to use startup repair system restore command prompt, etc. to bleepingcomputers link below

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start

It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu

Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order

    http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/change-boot-order-XP-Vista/

and if all else fails and you need to reinstall vista are the normal methods for computers preinstalled vista portable

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send vista recovery discs

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

  • Qosmio F20-137 - black screen - dead graphics card?

I have a F20-137. The screen is blank and also the laptop can't seem to fly other views or through the output S-video. It is used to go back to work if you out the battery and you press the 'works' for a while. No idea why this worked!

It's probably the graphics card no longer works? If Yes, where can I get replacement second-hand (I'm sure they cost more than the value of the laptop to buy new).

    David

    Hello

It may be a malfunction of the graphics card or a motherboard controller. In both cases, you must replace that costs a lot of money. Sometimes it is better to buy second-hand or a new laptop

  • I had a start of the computer, but black screen problem. Now resolved, but have a question.

Hi, a question for the tech support.

My solution ended up having to remove a faulty RAM stick. Fortunately, I had two, one of whom was a 2 GB key and that went wrong was 1 GB. Whenever this faulty stick has been in the laptop, the system wouldn't start.

The problem is now resolved after removing the defective RAM 1 GB stick.

In any case, I was wondering on a stick of RAM that turns bad in this way.

First question is, how are they just bad like that?

Second question, can they be fixed all or none of the trash can right RAM sticks after that?

    Hello feroxlara,

I see that you have any questions about RAM, is that correct?

The answer to your first question is that there are several things that can cause a memory stick to stop working or become defective. It may be overheating, overvoltage, problems with the RAM itself, problems with the slot in the motherboard memory is underway and many more. It is a component which may fail on any system.

As far as being able to set the memory for the average person it is not likely, here is a link to an article on the repair of RAM. He explains what would be necessary to fix a memory module and in most cases, it is easier to buy a new stick of RAM.

    What should I do?

Well, the warranty does not cover this damage because it was your own mistake.
The Toshiba ASP would be able to replace the screen, but you will have spent the money for this service.
The screens are not cheap about 300-360Euros.

But you can ask the ASP.
Contacting ASP guys your country and ask for more details and costs of the service.

    Good luck

I have a MBP 15 beginning 2011. I have not had any problems until the El Capitan has been installed. I installed El Capitan 10.11 clear (with before formatting hard drive). It slowed down my system, but it worked stable. October 21 update 10.11.1 was issued. I installed and them that the problem started. When you start 3D, Photoshop or my mobile film shows suddenly black screen and then recharged automatically. I though that it was a problem with ATI graphics cards. Called the Apple Support, they advise to install OS X clear. I installed OS X 10.9.5 clear. And the problem disappeared.

My MBP started when extremely hot system idle and when I played the game 3D.

Also, I have captured significant change of temperatures in Celsius degrees (indicator temperature app):

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-4060us is about 3-1/2 years. I have a black screen and it now won't start at all. He has also been more recent times of heating. I took it to a local repair guy and he said I need a new motherboard to a height of $200. It is better to fix it or should I get a second opinion?

200 is pretty cheap for a laptop in my opinion motherboard replacement, only you can determine if it is worth it or not.

How long the shop is guaranteed the motherboard, what they will install?

Most likely, it is a motherboard used, ask them.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the problems with your new HP PC and wanted to help.

You should not have problems with a PC this new.

While this PC is still under warranty, contact HP customer care directly so that they can put you in contact with HP Technical Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

However, HP customer care is generally not available on weekends, so you will have to wait until Monday to contact them.

    Hello

Disconnect the PC and press and hold power for 30 seconds. Remove and replace the battery CMOS. It's a $4 item. Now let's see what happens. If no joy, then try the steps above once again.

If your PC support has been changed or modified then put it back in its original state.

I can only imagine that you are referring to Windows
    XP Movie Maker 2.1.

Some general info that may be worth a visit:

Since the issue is recent... it may be worth trying to
do a system restore to an hour before the beginning of the question.

    See the following article:

    (2) files source corrupted... the only solution for this would be to
Remove the source files of the project one at a time and
try to save each time until the problem file is discovered.

    (3) project is too big or too complex for system resources.

    clint341,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum.  We cannot guide you more precisely by changing the BIOS settings that the BIOS settings are specific to your motherboard.  However, most (if not all) parameters of the BIOS have an option to restore the default BIOS (sometimes called "default opitimized").  It may be an option in the menu that you highlight, then press enter or it can be assigned to an F key and States at the bottom of the screen, press F? for the default settings.  I hope this helps.  If you are still not able to reset, check with the manufacturer of PC for more information about the BIOS. • detected external display suddenly stopped working - displays black screen

original title: detected external display suddenly stopped working

    Hello

I have searched in several forums, but have not been able to completely solve this problem.  It has been set provisionally and has not yet.
    This system I have:
HP TouchSmart tx2 tablet pc with Windows Vista Service Pack 2 x 64-bit (Home Premium)
    AMD Turion (tm) X 2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM - 82, 2.2 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card
I have been working for more than a year with a monitor flat screen Dell ST2310 external monitor and works very well with the setting "use external display only.  From one minute to the next two screen went black so I forced a restart and again the same problem.  I decided to manually disconnect the external monitor by unplugging the VGA cable from the laptop that turns on automatically to the main display as it would if I am disconnected display.  When I connected the VGA cable again the same question in the two screens were entirely black.  I unplugged once more the VGA cable if I could change the settings in Windows mobility.  I plugged back in the VGA cable after changing the settings of "external display only" to 'mirror' devices and after playing for a bit, with the Windows Mobility Center, I had the external display to work again my regular settings: "external display only.  This solution lasted a day and now works in the main screen and the external screen is completely black.
I tried in vain to solutions:
-Change VGA cables continues to experience the same issue.
-Tested according to the specifications and Dell monitor Monitor works fine if the backlight is not the problem.
-Records update for ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card and driver generic PnP Monitor and Dell ST2310.
-Uninstalled ATI Catalyst Manager and re install now as AMD Vision Engine Control Center.
-Checked AMD Vision Engine Control Center recognizes the connected external display.
-Uninstalled the driver Dell ST2310 and re installed the driver.
-On the screen settings have tried to extend the desktop on the external screen (second)
Now, this is what's going on and don't know how to fix it:
-Windows Mobility Center detects a monitor external, even when the VGA cable is disconnected.
-When it detects the external display it sometimes detects it as DELL ST2310, sometimes as a generic Non - PnP monitor.
-Sometimes under "Monitor" in the Device Manager, there are several monitors generic Non - PnP contained also the Dell ST2310 and generic PnP monitor.
-When the external monitor is connected, the screen is completely black and does not work even after changing the settings Windows Mobility or Fn F4.
