In a CM-centric unified handset deployment

Hello

Can I enable Adhoc for AAU (for example SX10) and Multiway endpoints for the endpoints of VCS (C series)?

Appointment for the user (not administrator) is required TMSPE (CMR), conductor, a user cannot create an ad-hoc conference (similar Codian)?

Thank you

I don't entirely get your deployment or your question.

You can sign up C-Series endpoints directly to CUCM as well.

Conductor and TMSPE makes it easier for available appointment based conferences, but this is not necessary.

Maybe this document gives you some info:

    TMS is 14.3.0

    TMSXE is 3.1.2

We gave up on the recording of our telepresence on the CUCM, we work to keep away them from the CUCM and their inclusion in the VCS - C (see here). But when you remove the CUCM non-registrant endpoints off the TMS and add it as registered endpoint C - VCS, TMS causing problems on all scheduled meetings.

After the now the rebinding VCS - C saved telepresence endpoints for room calendar changes in the TMSXE, it

    1. Add the 'new' (actually modified) end for the calendar of meetings
    2. maintains endpoint (previously saved CUCM) former listed as a "shadow" unknown endpoint
    3. clear the multipoint resource MCU/TP server allocated meeting
    4. send an email to the host of the meeting, saying: "information your administrator is migrating to a new system of conferencing reservations." During the migration, your conference was made. Cautions due to limited resources of routing, automatic routing could not be set up for your conference. A participant dial-in/out external added to the call is not connected. To ensure that the Conference will connect and the delivery of resources are available, contact your administrator to videoconferencing. Road is not valid.

But all meetings are internal, and there are many resources available on the telepresence Server

I wonder if there is a way to solve this problem and what we should do. Is there a way to purge all the TMS meetings so that the TMSXE re - synchronize all the information meeting of the TMSXE.

    Hello

There is unfortunately no history of migration in TMS between a CUCM-centric and a deployment centered on VCS. If you make a change like that, you essentially need to manually update all future bookings.

    Hello

Keep TCP between the AAU and conductor. Conductor may reflect only IP addresses different MCU based on group settings of the Complutense University of MADRID (order of servers).

Make sure that the SIP Trunk security profile is set as follows:

    -Mode of security: unsecured

-New Type of Transport: TCP + UDP

    -Outgoing Transport Type: TCP

-Incoming port: 5060 (make sure your Trunk conductor SIP is 5060)

    Conductor Meet-Me / appointment setting

    -Trunk Port - 5060

    -TCP Transport trunk

Conductor conference bridge is activated (according to the post of Jonathan)

    vTPS parameters

Network Services > SIP TLS is enabled (according to the post of Jonathan)

Keys (Configuration > upgrade) for Activation, encryption and display licenses are added/activated.

  • Conductor with virtual TP and CUCM

    Hi all

I deployed a telepresence system with:

    -CUCM 02.

    -Telepresence 01 conductor.

    -01 telepresence virtual server.

Through this guide, I have configured:

-SIP Trunk of CUCM TP driver (Rendezvous) and model of routing to make call.

-Bridge Conference and conference bridge pools, Conference

    -Models Conference and conference alias.

    -L' user to connect.

-Add TP CUCM license; touch, call session for conductor; STM license screen.

    My test scenario:

-01 camera SX10 call to conference by routing model 6188 list road bridge room is 'Rendezvous_Trunk'.

-In the conductor, make "Rendezvous meeting" of the alias(6) @.*'-'\1.rendezvous_mtg'withHD Servicemodels.

"HD Service" have Conference bridge "To_VTS".

    State of the link/trunk:

-Trunk of CUCM TP Condutor:Time up: 0 days 1 hour 29 minutes.

-Bridge Conference in TP driver: permits and status: active.

But the call cannot be successful with the message 'your call cannot be completed as composed. Please check your phone book and call again, or ask your operator for assistance.'

I see that it connects VTS:

280 Conference APP Info '6188.rendezvous_mtg' 08:23:13.256: deleted via API (not of participants)
    279 08:22:21.505 Conference APP Info '6188.rendezvous_mtg' created

And the TP driver has 3 alarms:

    - Conference bridge is missing the function of encryption key: one or more conference bridges lacks the function of encryption key. This is required for all driver telepresence B2BUA links.
    - Warning of telepresence Server license resources: use of the licenses of individual server of telepresence is close or has reached its full capacity
    - Resource server telepresence pool license warning: license server of telepresence pool use is close or has reached its full capacity

I miss encryption license, time in the head of the Orchestra and STM even not (because the STM using GMT time and cannot change his).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

Driver Telepresence Unified CM deployment guide x.24

on page 17, you can find concerning the encryption key

    Task 8:
    Installation of an encryption key
The telepresence server has the ability to use a secure communications connection. These security features are enabled with the option of encryption. You must install the option key so that this deployment to work.

This is related to the mechanism how conductor and TP server communicate with each other. He can't speak SIP secure (TLS).

We tested it in our lab, without encryption key, that it did not work.

If you can ask cisco, let them meet and share their response

  • Two mcu 4205 cluster?

Two mcu 4205 (4.4) with the same software both have 12 media port, now I have to make them work together as an mcu and 12 multimedia ports, have also the active guard and can be composed of devices or conferences by identification number, also I need if one of them is toward the bottom of the can function as main mcu and conferences continue

    How can I get there?

Grouping/stacking of the MCU is not supported for 4200 series or 4500 to two MCU operate together as one.

Clustering/stacking is supported only for the 5300 MCU series. You can only cluster/stack two units of the MCU.

The idea of clustering/stacking the MCU is to increase capacity. The cluster will provide the sum of the capacities of the individual units. For example, if group you two microcontrollers that each supports 10 ports x 1080 p you supported a cluster which takes 20 ports x 1080 p.

Optionally you can mount your two cascading 4205 microcontrollers:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/conferencing/Telepresence-MCU-4505/118763-config-MCU-00.html

Another solution is that you need a Cisco conductor who works with VCS/CUCM.

Take a look at these links for more information about deploying Cisco conductor:

  • Handset/headset Monitoring Query (Alternative to 7942G)

    Hello Cisco support community!

I have another query concerning devices having the ability of monitoring handset/headset, currently our homes real estate 7942 g across contact center however, they recently became out of use and we were informed to improve our handsets to 7841 s due to being as for as in terms of capacity.

However, this is not the case because there is no option for handset/headset in the device profile which is an important condition for the center of contact especially when training new officers.

I got a glance at several data sheets and have had a look through the device of CUCM profiles and I can't find a newer model with this feature, I'm basically looking for an official reply see if there is another device that has this ability that is not the end of life.

    Additional info: CUCM 10.5 + UCCE/CVP environment

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Christopher Hawkins

    Hi Christophe,

With phones 7900 series as the 7942, this behavior was actually a bug until the release of the 8-5-x firmware. I really believe that they could not come up with a fix for this unexpected problem that some people close & desired and other hated and despised so they just made a real feature.

CSCsr65970 - function to toggle audio played to the handset during a helmet

    Description

    Symptom:
If you listen carefully, the phone will simultaneously play audio for headphones and combined
    at all times.

    Conditions:
It is found on all phones 79XX until firmware 8.3 (5)

    Workaround solution:
It is a specific configuration of the product now available in CCMAdmin > device > phone for phones 79 X 2 and X 5 79.
    Handset/headset Monitor:

When the handset/headset control is enabled, a supervisor can pick up the idle handset/headset and hear the current call. For example, if an agent is on a call on the headset, a supervisor can hear the other party on the handset. Only the microphone on the active handset/headset is in use. For example, if an agent is running on the helmet, then the headset microphone is active and the microphone in the handset is disabled.

  • Cisco Nexus 1000V Virtual Switch Module investment series in the Cisco Unified Computing System

    Hi all
I read an article by Cisco entitled "Best practices in Deploying Cisco Nexus 1000V Switches Cisco UCS B and C Series series Cisco UCS Manager servers" http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps9441/ps9902/white_paper_c11-558242.html

A lot of excellent information, but the section that intrigues me, has to do with the implementation of module of the VSM in the UCS. The article lists 4 options in order of preference, but does not provide details or the reasons underlying the recommendations. The options are the following:

    ============================================================================================================================================================
Option 1: VSM external to the Cisco Unified Computing System on the Cisco Nexus 1010

In this scenario, the virtual environment management operations is accomplished in a method identical to existing environments not virtualized. With multiple instances on the Nexus 1010 VSM, multiple vCenter data centers can be supported.
    ============================================================================================================================================================

Option 2: VSM outside the Cisco Unified Computing System on the Cisco Nexus 1000V series MEC

This model allows to centralize the management of virtual infrastructure, and proved to be very stable...
    ============================================================================================================================================================

Option 3: VSM Outside the Cisco Unified Computing System on the VMware vSwitch

This model allows to isolate managed devices, and it migrates to the model of the device of the unit of Services virtual Cisco Nexus 1010. A possible concern here is the management and the operational model of the network between the MSM and VEM devices links.
    ============================================================================================================================================================

Option 4: VSM Inside the Cisco Unified Computing System on the VMware vSwitch

This model was also stable in test deployments. A possible concern here is the management and the operational model of the network links between the MSM and VEM devices and switching infrastructure have doubles in your Cisco Unified Computing System.
    ============================================================================================================================================================

As a beginner for both 100V Nexus and UCS, I hope someone can help me understand the configuration of these options and equally important to provide a more detailed explanation of each of the options and the resoning behind preferences (pro advantages and disadvantages).

    Thank you
    Pradeep

No, they are different products. vASA will be a virtual version of our ASA device.

  • Can deploy app in the Simulator, but not to the device

Sorry about this newbie question, but how is it that a simple HelloWorld application compiled in Eclipse runs just fine on the Simulator, but cannot be installed on a 8320 Curve by the Blackberry Desktop Software?

I use the latest version at all.  The message returned by the desktop software is:

! There was an error importing files.
No additional applications can be found. Your file can
contain applications that already exist in the list of applications,
are not compatible for your device, or errors.

However, I am able to deploy the application on the handset using the command line tool:

    C:\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde\vmTools\JavaLoader.exe -usb load \workspace\HelloTest\deliverables\Standard\5.0.0\HelloTest.jad

This installs the application, which then runs correctly on the device.  I can then reload the list of app on the Blackberry Desktop Software tool and it shows HelloTest, but under the properties of the Application-> dependencies it says:

    "Application not available (net_rim_cldc).

It seems that some dependence crept in the generation of the application and that confuses the desktop tool.  The curve is running 4.5 OS.

Should I just throw this office tool, or how can I clean the application so that it installs correctly?  Obviously, this is just foreplay before building a much broader application, and I wish I had these little glitches will hamper ASASP.

    Thanks for any help!

You should be able to download a plugin 4.5 on the site to update. Go to "help > install new software" to open the screen of software available. If you have not yet done so, add the updated BlackBerry site to your Eclipse configuration:

    1. Click on "available software Sites.
    2. Click on the button 'Add '.
    3. Enter a name such as 'BlackBerry update location' and set the location http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.5/java
    4. Click OK, then OK again to return to the screen of the software available

The 'working with' menu drop-down, select the location of BlackBerry Update (or whatever you named it). Expand the BlackBerry Java plug-in category and you should be able to select an appropriate plug-in version.

  • Unity 4.0 (5) configured for Unified Messaging

I have a few questions about Cisco Unity prior to implementation in the field or by creating its own.

1 - How unity software interact with exchange, does it change the objects or add properties (as it does to A.D.)?

2 can be put in place for Unified Messaging and to always have its own domain (Windows 2003 standard server) and Exchange 2003 is separated from existing servers?

    3. If Yes, Exchange 2003 must be installed on a separate machine, or can it be installed on the server of the unit itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    question No. 1:

Unit to update or add attributes to AD to be turned on the unit. The attributes are basically hidden. AD and the unity SQL database are exact copies of the directory of the AD.

    Question 2:

The unit may be in its own field of voice mail only Setup. Unified Messaging doesn't work for this type of installation. The defination of unified whole is to have a mailbox for voice messages, faxes, emails, etc.. Understanding an AD, AD can have only one Exchange Org with multiply the servers. No matter anyway that slice you it, UM/unit will use this infrastructure and update your schema. If you choose a separate domain, she turns the unit in a voice mail configuration.

    question n ° 3

It is recommended to install the unit on a separate server in the same local network that Exchange is installed on. The unit must be connected to your existing PBX or callmanager. In a unique configuration to voicemail, you can install the unit/SQL and mail store everything on a single server for a smaller deployment. (1-500 subscribers nothing more, I would failover to separate mail store)

There are great on the site of Cisco docs who go on to design scenarios. Also, I highly recommend Pick-up the Holy bible of the unit. "Deployment of cisco unity" and Guide of Solutions it will answer any question you have.

    I hope this helps.

  • Certificates and Unified Wireless

    Hi people,

I am currently deploy a unified wireless network and that you have run into a bit of a problem with certificates - unfortunately they aren't my specialist subject!

We will deploy two wireless networks (comments and Corp comments) will be tunnel to a dedicated WLC and Corp. will REAP: break-out to the local network with authentication PEAP against AD (via Cisco ACS).  We will have 7 WLCs (including anchor comments) that will be managed by the WCS.

The problems I face with certificates, it's that I don't know how and where to place them - it is my understanding:

cert 1 x GBA for AD authentication

1 cert of x on the WCS for the connection of the Web page (to stop the alert cert)

1 x mobility anchor cert (to stop the alert cert for guest access)

I guess that since the other WLC will not be recorded on they do not need a cert that everything will be done through WCS and comments "web-auth" page is served rather than the WLC mobility anchor central 6?

Ideally, we don't want warnings cert to appear as that will generate the number of calls from users, only for us to tell them "just click ok and it'll be fine"

I'm trying to know if we have a certification authority internal, can I use to get certificates for the WCS and ACS that will sort the internal clients, then an 'external' for guests cert.

Worst case, we would need to get the 'external' certs for all three, but I'm confused as to how it works as our internal domain is a 'private' name [example.private] rather than a public .com [example.com]

Any guideance you can give to would be great!

    Thanks in advance

    KeV

Well, if you have a domestic certification authority and it is in the store root approved devices, you won't this certificate error message.  If you go with a 3rd party certificate, then you can go the road that you have:

cert 1 x GBA for AD authentication

1 cert of x on the WCS for the connection of the Web page (to stop the alert cert)

1 x mobility anchor cert (to stop the alert cert for guest access)

Or if you want less of certificates, you can do this:

1 cert x the GBA for AD authentication and mobility anchor (to stop the alert cert for guest access)

1 cert of x on the WCS for the connection of the Web page (to stop the alert cert)

Just use a name CN which is general... like wifi.private or something like that.

  • Cluster of Freeway with deployment of FW DMZ port 3

    Hello

We currently have one Highway C & E with E deployed behind an ASA according to 3-Port FW DMZ with only VCS Expressway Interface LAN (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/express...), so the E has a DMZ IP address and uses only one LAN port.

We must deploy a new pair of C & E as a cluster for resilience.

My question is if the cluster can be configured using the IP of the LAN 1 DMZ address unique or if we must activate the LAN2 and connect within the network for cluster communication. It's a deployment of layer 2, so if it takes a second connection the E could have an IP address for clustering on the same VLAN as the primary.

    Thank you very much

    Paul

For Expressway-e: Yes, you must enable the LAN 2 interface. You will also need to make LAN 2 your address to the public since only LAN 1 can be used for clustering. LAN 1 cannot have NAT enabled on it when there's a cluster. It is documented in Creating Cluster Cisco Expressway and Maintenance Deployment Guide (page 9). Don't forget that this LAN 1 and LAN 2 should be in separate subnets, you can not create just a second host IPv4 address in your existing DMZ subnet.
