Incompatible print

My impression is incompatible. A sheet of paper is passed through and then the second sheet is printed on but it cuts off the top.  The next time I try to print the same page, the first RSS leaf through with nothing printed on it and then the second sheet is drawn halfway and then stops with the printer saying "impression".  It will remain so until that Kingdom come. It's very frustrating. I have an iMac and two portable IBM. Same problem with them also. Toner changed, updated the firmware, uninstalled, reinstalled drivers, great test page prints. Ugggh. Just got this C4780 new months ago and this problem just started.

Remove all paper.  Get a flashlight and look inside for all the stray pieces of torn paper.  Now, return the printer and remove the back cover and look around in there for the same thing.

If that doesn't do the trick, return the paper or try another brand of paper.

  • Incompatible print cartridge error C309g.

Incompatible print cartridge error C309g. When replacing foul 564 XL (black), now I get this message. The new cartridge works in another printer that uses 564 XL. Went ahead and tried another brand new 564 XL - same message. Have turned printer on and outside. Is there a way to reoot, clean or otherwise set the printer before assuming it's really broken? Other suggestions?

UPDATE: this has been resolved with a hard reset. I found how to do this in another post (thanks bassergitz!). How to do a hard reset or 'dirty power up': when the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. It will take several minutes to initialize.

  • Faulty or incompatible print cartridge Desk Jet 6840

MacBook Pro. I recently installed Lion (10.7.2). All the drivers are up to date.

Neither ink cartridges black HP 94 two new works. When I reinstalled the cartridge used, I also had the "Faulty or incompatible print cartridge" message, even though the old cartridge had worked (although bad) before I tried to install the new.

I've seen the suggestion to contact HP support, but my printer is 4 or 5 years, which means that they don't want to talk to me.

    Any suggestions?

The steps in this troubleshooting page can help solve the problem.  Also check the transport to make sure that the spring x-bias is not dislodged.  If the spring became dislodged (1) and punctured the flex circuit (2) the printer will require repairs.

Have tried cleaning the contacts, etc..  My system is Windows XP SP3, the printer serial number is TH86BD216F. On the point of... Start > control > events overview > System... Watch "HP Cue device not started" can anyone advise if the problem is probably caused by... My computer, the printer, or the cartridge? Would be grateful for any help.

    Hi Rudy.

The problem is now resolved, but in an unexpected way. Make your answer that there is no "quick fix" decided the glance to the software via... Windows Explorer > My Computer > c drive > programs > HP and everything by browsing files spotted a title 'Chrome', remembering that, among other things, I had recently uninstalled Google Chrome, reinstalled it and WOW! the printer now works thanks for that it was your interaction that led this research. However, it raises another question - how can I remove Chrome and does not affect the printer?

    Thanks a lot Brian-E-G.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8740 all-in-one: with OfficeJet Pro 8740 Incompatible print settings

I just implemented this new printer and it has two trays of food. I have paper in Tray 1 and the type of Photo paper in tray 2. When I try to print a photo, I get the error Incompatible with:

    Paper size: letter

    Feeder: Photo tray

If I let him automatic selection of the plateau, he goes to the Tray 1 but if I select tray 2, which is the Photo tray, I get the above error.

    I use paper.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?  As I said I just installed this machine today, so I'm not really familiar with all it's operating.

    Thank you

    Skeat

I think that I fixed it now!  I went in the implementation on the printer and went to the management of the status bar and tray 2 by default and now it seems to work.

    Thank you

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Error Message: incompatible print heads

The printer is not even a month and has worked perfectly, until last week when he simply stopped Mid-print page. There are no jams, no flashing lights, it just stopped printing. I turned it and turn it back on and that's when the ink lights began flashing. First there was black ink, which I changed with a new cartridge (even though I know that the configuration it was not empty). Then each colored ink lights began flashing. I replaced all four cartridges with the new HP ink and the Scan doctor says that the print heads are alternately missing, damaged or incompatible. The message passes whenever I check. I am at a loss and impossible even to contact someone to get this repaired thing (because it is still under warranty).

None of the troubleshooting techniques worked. I had all the tried before they have been suggested, so I ended up contact HP and receiving a replacement printer. We'll see how it goes.

  • HP Deskjet 6980 "Incompatible print cartridge" & flashing light

I had without trouble for about 5 years, up to what this problem occurred recently in the blue.  I installed a new cartridge color #97 about 2 months ago and it worked fine for a few weeks until one day, he decided that I had an Incompatible cartridge.  I found info on the HP support pages and followed all these instructions.  The first time, I just pulled out of the cartridge & put again & it worked for a few prints then stopped.  So I did the cleaning with water distilled with great care.  He printed a test page, but then began to light flashing and same error message.  I took out the color cartridge to print everything in shades of gray and no ink comes out on paper. When I click on the printer, open the staus it says "finished printing" (or somethig to this effect).  IM using a mac mini & don't have not updated my OSX yet ~ 10.5.

Can I return the cartridge to the store 2 months, but there is still a lot of ink insde.  Y at - it patches others? I'm really not more money for another cartridge flat and have this happen.  ISIT the time of a new printer?

    Thanks in advance.

HI - you have definitely found the right document.  A couple of other things I recommend trying that I do not believe that the document covers.  First of all, off the printer with the power disconnected at the back of the printer, I would like to clean the contacts in the printer carriage.  Looks like the doc made reference to just clean the contacts of the cartridge.  I would also clean the cartridge contacts and transport black if you have not already.  If this does not resolve the problem, I highly recommend the back of the cartridge and try again.  If this does not resolve the problem, it's probably time for a new printer or get it repaired.

    Hope that helps.

  • Incompatible print cartridge error message

Below you can find a video on setting a cartridge print Incompatible error message in an Officejet J4680 printer. The steps it will show you how to do the following procedures.

    1. Remove and inspect the cartridges

    2. how to clean cartridges and what materials to use for this process.

    3. replace the cartridge

    4. printing in the mode back.

The stages of care cartridge will work on all printers that have the HPI cartridges.  IPH cartridges are those who come in all black and tri-color and have no individual cyan, magenta, and yellow colors. This is also true when the video talking about printing in backup mode as some printers with cartridges IPH are able to print in rescue mode when a cartridge is missing from the printer.

I hope the community finds this video to be useful.

    Help please

If you bought the printer in an area and moved to a new area, you must call customer service to ask a "regionalization Reset." Avoid any accusation to this effect; It is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works. See the document on regionalisation.

  • printer says incompatible print cartridges.

Slow printer and then quit printing completely stating the foregoing.  However, I used the same cartridges since buying a year ago.  Help

In general when you get an "Incompatible cartridge" error, it is caused by the contact in the computer and on the cartridge do not, touch or filled because or reconditioned, ink was used. In rare cases, it may be because the cartridge is bad. The document below will take you through a few steps to work on the problem. If this does not work, try using a different cartridge. If it still does not respond, you may need to replace the printer. Let me know what happens. 'Cartridge problem', "Impossible to cartridge", or "Incompatible cartridge" Message appears on the computer and cartridge status light flashes
