ink levels - not resolved

HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series.  Win7.

On another table of msg, someone said that a recent Windows Update caused the ink level function to stop working.  When I click on the icon of the printer on the Control Panel, the HP printer Assistant will not be open.  The other three links on this box work fine.  I did all the other suggestions here to check ink levels, none of them worked.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and check for a new driver.  I hope you can help solve this problem.  Thank you!

Thank you very much!

Printer works well, but I don't see maintenance information, now that I have a new PC with Windows 8.1, including ink levels.

The printer is HP Photosmart 8400. How can I get the ink levels displayed, as well as other maintenance functions to operate?

    Hello

Only one set of basic pilot is available for Windows 8.1, the HP Solution Center is not available for your printer on the operating system, so you cannot check the ink level of the HP software for your current operating system.

You can check the level of ink on the front of the printer as shown in the following document:

My ink levels screen disappeared.  It was available last week.  Yesterday, I installed a new black cartridge and after that, I can't access the ink levels more alignment and the cleaning process.  I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Cardinal52,

I'm not sure what would cause these functions to be unavailable, but I'd be happy to help you regain the ability to access ink levels, alignment and the cleaning process.

We will perform a hard reset. To do this, leave the printer and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release built his power, then after the minute, plug the printer in.

It would be better to also restart the computer to help restore communication between the devices.

  • me not saying the printer ink levels

How can I get the computer to let me know the printer ink levels?

Technical issues do not belong in the forum comments so I moved your post to the windows 'Hardware and drivers' forum.  Always include your version of Windows when you post.

Monitoring ink levels is a function of the printer driver.  Contact the manufacturer of the printer for a solution.

  • Scanner does not work on my Hp Printer and I can't find a way to see my ink level

Hello!  I uninstalled HP Support Assistant, did an update of Windows, installed on official site, and still I can not scan from my printer (you had to make a shortcut to scan from my computer), and I do not know my ink level.

Any ideas on how I can see my ink level?

Any ideas on how I can scan (even if it's a low priority because I did this work around)

I go back to the site of HP and HPSA (ensuring that everything is updated), but I don't see that the HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon is msising and HPSA advised me a custom installation and to include that when installing.  It is the icon/program to see my ink level.  But I can't seem to get there. Not an option for installation.

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi linsjean,

I see that you have lost the ability to use the HP software to scan and check the ink levels. You can continue scanning as you are now, simply download and install HP Print and Scan doctor to check your ink level, or you could perform a full uninstall and reinstall.

Click here to download and run the utility > HP print and Scan Doctor

    Or you can use the steps below to complete uninstallation and reinstallation;

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Download the software and choose Save as, save to desktop > click here, choose your operating system, click Next, select the product software driver installation and download your software.
    4. After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
    5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
    6. Open the folder Util
    7. The CCC folder
    8. If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have an non HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
    9. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    10. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

  • Not report ink level HP solutions Center

I had problems with the running at all HP Solution Center.  After you have reinstalled the full driver support and the software of my Photosmart c7280 on my HP Windows 7 x 64 system three times (the last time with the help of a live chat session) the Solution Center software runs and communicates with the printer, but is no longer can / will signal the ink levels.  It is used to do it regularly.  The initial problem with Solution Center appeared unexpectedly a few weeks ago.

After reviewing the problem for several weeks, I finally found someone from HP to help me.  After doing a little troubleshooting, she decides to send me a CD with the HP Solution Center software.  I went through the installation and things as magically worked.  One interesting thing to note - side I did a little to compare bit of the file on the CD with the file that I had downloaded on the website of HP and they came out to be identical.  Explain this.

  • PHOTOSMART HP 6520 does not print black. And the ink levels estimated for the other inks are not correct.

Hi, I bought my photosmart Hp 6520 year last, October. But it is no more print black after replacing ink twice. I tried to clean the print head with water and tried "clean print head" in tools, does not solve the problem...

What is wired is that I bought 4 new 564 inks the hp of the target 2 days ago, printed only less than 10 pages to see if the problem is resolved. Then my printer told me that the cartridge is too low... Is this possible?

It makes me crazy now... What is even worse, I used a tool to detect my printer, and he said that is no longer under warranty... But he was only 9 months... How can I solve this problem? Thank you.

The document here can help solve the black does not print on your Photosmart 6520.  Be sure to check the vents, as on the three solution.

If this does not resolve the issue I suggest you call HP (1-800-HPINVENt to the United States, see here for details by the way).  The warranty online tool is an estimate, they will have a process of updated the status of the guarantee if necessary.

  • B110a MFD: ink levels is not available for vote B11a running Windows 10

    Hello

I recently (perhaps unadvisedly!) upgraded to Windows 10. Now, I can not use the Solutions Center to operate my printer. It's not very convenient, but I can live with that I can do most of the things I do of the iteslf to the printer.

However, the only thing that causes me grief is that I have no access to ink levels. The B110a is strange colors printing this morning and I think it's the yellow cartridge that went, but I have no way of confirming this.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you

    Ron.

    Hello @RonD,

Thank you for taking part in the community of HP, I would be happy to help you! I see that you have recently upgraded to OS Windows 10 and now, you are unable to access the Solution Center for your HP Photosmart Wireless B110a.

    1. do you also have to update the drivers and software for your PS B110a?

2 do you think the Solution Center on your desktop, or it is not there at all?

    3. do you receive any error messages?

I would like to you run the HP print and scan doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools- it was designed by HP to offer users troubleshooting and problems of the functionality needed to solve many common problems encountered with HP print and scan the products related to Windows computers.

What is the PSDR? I'll watch for your reply, so we can continue to troubleshoot.

You can say thank you easily by clicking on the ' Thumbs Up ' below!
