insensitive cursor or jumpy on a touchpad

I use a Toshiba laptop with Windows seven. I had to use a radio app free to listen to music for a work project. Since my cursor has become nervous or inadmissible several times a day. I can stop for temp fix but it returns. I ran several AV, spyware, malicious programs, but they are. Ideas?

Hello

Welcome to Microsoft Community and we are happy to help you.

From your description, I understand your cursor jump Dungeon after installing a radio application.

It could have happened due to problem in the touchpad drivers.

I suggest you follow these methods and check.

Method 1:

I suggest you to check the sensitivity of the touchpad. Reduce the sensitivity and check if that helps.

Method 2:

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the touchpad.

If you use an external mouse and that you are not using the touchpad on the laptop, you can disable the touchpad in order to not accidentally tab that moves the cursor. If you use the touchpad, you can always disable tapping when typing, that solved the problem for many people.

  • Jump 8 windows cursor when the finger on touchpad

Just bought a 1015E Asus laptop.  The cursor jumps around when a finger is on the touchpad when the finger is stopped.  I tried the sensitivity setting and increase pointer is selected.  Problems continues if I change the sensitivity and if I deselect enhance pointer.  I think that it is driver related. If I take my finger on the touchpad or the finger is in the lower left or lower right click typical of the areas of the touch pad it keeps jumping around.  Thanks in advance.

  • Insensitive cursor

As soon as I connect as long as my user, my cursor becomes unresponsive. It still works until I click on my name for the connection, and the keyboard works fine. I am now in "safe mode with network" and the slider works. She becomes unresponsive when I connect. It happened all of a sudden while I was using my computer and, to the best of my knowledge, did not change any settings.

  • Dell place 11 Pro keyboard - touchpad does not

    touchpad does not now

has worked for 2 months - then stopped working

noticed 'urgent' download for touchpad on dell driver support page - downloaded and installed

    still does not

    pls advise

I actually found a way how to solve this problem. Tried above all, disconnect battery, registry fixes and etc... In all cases at some point touchpad become unresponsible. But what I found accidentally - while the touchpad is not respond to gestures and does not move a cursor - function click on the touchpad still works. in any case, this close to me do not have a solution.

As always, the solution is just magic - all you need to do to restore a bloody thing - is to run SynaUtilitySfx.exe, while the Tablet is connected to the keyboard. The utility will fail saying that the touchscreen device not found - but this will allow touchscreen and a touchpad. Despite I'm an IT professional - I can't explain what is happening, but this method has worked for me.

I disconnected the keyboard shelf and set the keyboard on the charge, which immediately ruined the touchpad when I connected the keyboard for Tablet. I ran new SynaUtilitySfx.exe - all work. A few times to prove: it does not fix the bloody thing!

You can get SynaUtilitySfx.exe stuff from the dell Web site, they call it Panel Touch Firmware on Dell place 11 Pro 5130.

  • FN + F3 disable the Touchpad does not work. Dell XPS L702X

Hello, I am new to this forum.

The function FN + F3 that disable the Touchpad does not work, my laptop Dell XPS 17 (L702X)

I googled my problem and the only thing I found was this: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19454265.aspx

I think that my problems with the touchpad started when I plugged a mouse into the USB port. It didn't work (it worked well before), and in material-sound-mouse control panel, the system asked me to uninstall a driver or other. I do not remember, but later the mouse worked.

After this weird thing with the mouse, I noticed that the touchpad was malfunctioning. While I write, the cursor moves without touching the touchpad, it is annoying because it makes me write bad because he is moving in the middle of writing, as I write so it's a mess.

The second oddity, the Fn + F3 does not disable the touchpad, the orange light come on (the led on the top of the touchpad), but the cursor can be moved in any case, with or without a connected mouse.

I checked for driver updates, perform an audit of the system, checked for viruses, spywares and I don't know what I could do. I don't know if the problem with the mouse had nothing to do with the function Fn + F3 problem.

I have not formatted or re installed windows 7, never.

In Device Manager I have this:

-mouse and other pointing devices:-Compatible PS/2 mouse

    Help, please. Thank you.

  • Running for some time, firefox 'hangs' every 7 seconds 3 seconds, typing, scrolling, navigate... all functions to follow the cycle of 7 seconds break. Why?

This problem does not appear to exist until "free" download of Windows 10 installed. I've waited too long to return to 8.1, now stuck with the $ @# @ 10 software. Using a FF browser "synchronized" to work (win 7) I have no problems with the cyclical lag during typing, scrolling, etc. Be totally irritated with win 10, I tried once again to try Linux (Mint) and noticed that the SHIFT does not seem to be there when you use FF in Linux, which has installed from their 'package '. This shift occurs every 7 seconds to 3 seconds of insensitive cursor, typing keystrokes, scrolling action... whatever. Suspecting some 'supplement' to go funky, I have removed ALL addons... no improvement. This forum works on 64-bit, 2 gig memory, relatively new machine that had no question to win 10.

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will need to restart Firefox before this takes effect so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    1. Click the menu button

then select the Options under Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.

    2. Select the Advanced Panel, then on the general tab.
    3. Uncheck the use hardware acceleration when available.
    4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

If the problem is resolved, you should check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in these articles in the knowledge base:

  • Satellite U840T - mouse disappears on the right of the screen and down

I have a problem with my Satellite U840T screen

The mouse disappears on the right of the screen and the background in the black bars at the top and then the left side of the mouse cannot go to bars.

In the display settings, everything is good, I think.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello

    I confused m.
Your question isn't described very well.

What do you mean exactly by: mouse disappears on the right of the screen and the background in the black bars at the top
Do you mean the touchpad or the cursor?
The laptop's touchpad supports the (multi-touch) gesture control feature, and this feature could be configured in the settings of the touchpad:
    + Control Panel-> mouse-> device-> settings settings tab.

You will also find the option called shots of edge which opens the charms, app Switcher bar and toolbar Application simply by moving your finger between the edge of the touchpad to the centre.

In this case the cursor is not visible.

  • Windows 8 start not

I have a windows system 8 G500 and my windows that I don't know what happened, but when I start it, it displays the windows logo and then a black screen appears with the cursor, the cursor will move along the touchpad, but windows does not show anything else on the screen. So, windows begins nor (I guess that the movement of the slider) is suspended.

I thought to reinstall or repair windows from a windows disc 8, but can not enter in the boot menu.

    Can someone please help...

Got his solution to the microsoft forum.
The drivers installed were not compatible with the operating system.

They told me to remove the battery and start the laptop the power cord only. It worked. and my laptop works fine now. I downloaded new drivers from lenovo Web site and its all good now.

    1 mouse cursor disappears

    2. run the check disk etc. No software of balance sheet not found problems with the system.

    3. after speaking with Dell customer service, they sent me a replacement laptop. It has the same problem. Therefore, the question should be on the software side.

  • Touchpad cursor gets hard to control "woozy"

Recently, I went back to using my Mac Pro 2009 after using a Macbook to the past two years for most. I upgraded to El Capitan first, and I decided to start a new account because I've been migrating the same account for 20 years. So all is cool enough for most.

I had used a magic with the MacBook Pro touchpad because I hated the portable computers clean touchpad. Having become accustomed to the use of the touch pad, that I decided to use it with the Mac Pro. I use the touchpad, even for the last two years.

Here's the problem: I have not yet identified which triggers it but what is happening is that the slider will frequently and suddenly become what I can only describe as 'under the weather', and I hope it makes sense. It becomes slow and its response and tends to overcompensate sometimes I have to be very careful and precise and slow in my movements when it's like that because if I use my hands the way I would normally be the cursor will overshoot.

It does not have it for long periods of time, but he does not often. And it makes me a little nuts. Any ideas?

Really?  No one has an answer here?  I'm going crazy... and now my stylus is dead, so I am forced to use the touchpad! (I can't use a mouse because of repetitive stress injury)

If anyone has any ideas, please share!
