• How can I change the language setting for 4500 WANT after the initial Setup

  The language setting for the ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer has been mistakenly or inadvertently put in CHINESE (not sure how this can happen).  Now, the display is incomprehensible, so I can not understand how to change the language to ENGLISH.  Is there a simple way to change the language or reset the printer by default so that I can fix this problem?

  Welcome to the HP Forums.

  I see you have a problem with the printer displayed in another language.

  On the front screen of the printer, press the top left button ( Home button).  Once on the home screen, press the arrow UP 2 times, this brings you to the preferences Menu, press OK.  Once in the Preferences menu, the first highlighted area is the enacted area please just press OK again.  The first language highlight is English, please press OK and then Yes to make the changes.

  I just bought a time capsule from apple, and I'm trying to connect my hp 4500 wireless.  Airport utility request my PIN printers.  Where I don't get that?

  You are right that the Officejet 4500 Wireless does not Airprint support for your Apple devices.

  To connect the printer to your wireless network, you will need to do the following:

  1. Connect the printer to your Windows PC with a USB cable.
  2. Click Start and go to programs and HP Officejet 4500 series.
  3. In this folder you should find an option with a name similar to the wireless configuration, convert USB wireless or Setup.
  4. Run the program to connect to the printer wirelessly to your new router.

  If you can't find a wireless network or configure the option in the USB folder then instead going to uninstall and reinstall the software for your printer. Before do you, unplug the USB cable from the printer. Once this is done, you can download the latest version of the software by clicking this link.

  With the 'solution' to the other thread, I was finally able to load the software for the printer on my computer, but then the computer is not grateful and in collaboration with the printer for some reason any.  I got the JO 4500 all-in-One machine to print with a generic driver to a different printer, but I couldn't use the other features like analysis.

  Now, when I plug in USB cable to the printer to the computer, nothing happens.  Other USB devices work fine, but the printer is not recognized as it should be for a reason any.  So, I installed the printer drivers and software, but now cannot complete the installation of the printer to work. What gives?

  I get the error message 1627. It doesn't have a Cd Player so I can't use the drive.

  It turned out that the problem was with the computer software/firmware.  Error message1267 is a Microsofterror and that of the driver package can be delivered for theplace were that it should be stored. Three adapters is not the computer health check, so I can't tell if it's in the circuits or software, but it certainly isn't for lack of the HP printer.

• 4500 envy: Envy 4500 will not work after ink change

  I changed the ink cartridge in my HP Envy 4500.  It prints the alignment fine page.  I put on the screen to scan and it repeat me that it is «forever» scanning until I have Cancel.  Then, it is stuck on cancel until I have force a stop down.    I'm ready to take a hammer to this printer.

  I read about how print settings return to printing on glossy greeting card, when printing to your craving for 4500 on Windows 10. I wanted to reach out to try to help you with my own suggestions in this case.

  I think that maybe the print settings are only changed for a single print job. See this link and make sure that you change the printing parameters for all print jobs: change the settings for printing (Windows 10)

  If the parameters have always come back, try to run the print and Scan of the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. Please include these results in your answer to me.

  I got my setup of 4500 desire on this laptop until I had some problems to where I had to charge my laptop.  I can't have the printer installed again because the software cannot find my printer.  I've done all the troubleshooting, and I still can not installed.  Printing HP and doctor Scan can find the printer, but it cannot connect.  The printer has an EXCELLENT signal of the wifi router.  I typed the correct IP address for the printer and it does not find it.

• Printing posters on Officejet 4500

  I want poster printing (i.e. spread a sheet of A4 through 4 leaves) on my Officejet 4500 (with a USB for Win XP).  I found an online manual that says this is available in the shortcuts of the printer, but it is not on my installation.  In addition, I have uninstalled the printer was on the HP site, downloaded what I thought, was to be the newest and installed driver and poster printing is still not there.  Can anyone help?  If this isn't the case, I'll have to bin the Officejet and go buy a new Canon, which has had this feature for many years.  I'm sure everything there is need an updated driver, but I can't find anything better on the HP site and I don't trust from other sites.

  And while I'm at it, I want to whinge about the insufficient support for ISO ("European") paper sizes in the Shortcuts dialog box.  But I found a solution to this (though inelegant), so for now, what I want to help with is poster printing!
