  The unit was sold as a single IP integration. My client needs Dual Switch with an Ericsson PBX. I received the license key of ORC, and I opened a folder of TAC.

  TAC said that the license file will not allow installation double switch integration. The Cisco SE on the account indicates that the license key will allow me to make the integration of the double switch.

  Who is right? I heard that the moderator here has all the answers :)

  The is correct. Any customer with a license 4.0 can do double switch. You don't need a special permit.

• Integration of Cisco Unity Connection to my subscribers of CUCM

  Hi all

  I'm trying to integrate my server CUC to two subscribers CUCMs.

  The editor has an exsisting integration using a single SIP trunk between itself and the server of the CUC.

  I am trying to get my head around how best to add two subscribers.

  I should only add subscribers as secondary hosts tab telephone systems CUC or do I configure separate circuits and the ports from subscribers to the CUC Server?

  I am running version 8.0 on CUCM servers and the server of the CUC and the existing integration is SIP based.

  I have spare ports allowed for the server of the CUC.

  Any help is very appreciated.

  In addition to the excellent post by Rob (+ 5), you must ensure that the Group of CUCM applied to the basins of the trunk SIP device includes all these Subs or better yet is checked "Run on all nodes" on SIP trunk and the list of route if you use a recent version of CUCM, i.e. 8.5 or newer.

  Someone at - it a good document for the installation of the unit with CCM 4.0? I installed MAC several times but never the unit and I am looking for some general guidelines to follow when installing the unit with CCM.

• Disconnect tones FXO GW recorded at end of virtual machines.

  We have a system of sr 1 unit 4.0 (4) integrated with CCM 3.3. SR2 (4), with an IOS MGCP gateway with PSTN FXO ports. We ve had to use a custom on the MGCP gateway cptone to overcome a FXO disconnect problem and have set the time of disconnection on the bridge to 3 seconds. This works well.

  Our problem is that when a party calling to the PSTN destination leaves a voice message for a Subscriber, the recorded message includes three seconds to disconnect tone at the end of the message. We know the frequency, frequency deviation and cadence in milliseconds tone (425 Hz, +/-15 Hz, wide of 500ms / 500 ms). Is anyway to configure the unit to not save or otherwise filter these tones?

  No, with an IP Unity integration do your detection. It is based on the progress of explicit appeal of CCM (CME or SIP) signaling. The tone must be removed from the audio stream, should happen on the bridge that performs tone detection.

• Messaging with Nortel PBX unit

  I am currently under a double integration in my transition to IP telephony. In my current sitiation, we run a Nortel Meridian 1 Option 81C PBX as well as Cisco CallManager 4.0. They are both integrated with Cisco Unity 4.0. Our problem is that our IP phones are able to dial * then the extension and leave a message without ringing the phone. PBX users, however, are not able to do. This becomes a growing problem that we're driving on the conversion of the voicemail. A local Cisco engineer hold me it is possible to install it for the for the PBX numbering plan, but opposed our PBX technician. Can anyone send me an example of how to get this feature for all phones. Thanks in addvance.

  Nortel phones have a similar feature with the old voicemail system? Or users see this as a new feature that comes with the migration? On the side of CCM unit, it's really a feature of the telephone system. Unit is not something special for her. From the point of view of unity, calls by * [ext] exactly the same as a call that has been transferred [ext].

  If you can't similar functionality of a Nortel PBX, then here is the closest thing I can think of... define a driver that allows users of PBX to call in the greeting of the opening of the unit (instead of the sign - in conversation). From there they compose [ext] #2. This will take them directly to the greeting [Ext.] without ringing the phone.

• Adobe dps and confusion cloud creative subscription

  I'm subscribed to Adobe DPS (Pro) and I am struggling to understand what exactly the right level of subscription for me. I don't mean to publish applications, most of what I do is sharing with my clients using the content viewer Adobe presentations.

  I've now started to learn edge animate and to incorporate this into my DPS items, I need to upgrade to Indesign CS6. Now, I think a subscription to creative cloud.

  If I take the creative cloud (upgrade) 26/m subscription £ will I still need to continue my DPS Adobe subscription or it is understood? It seems a bit strange to me that I pay more than £26/m for the only DPS subscription. As creative Cloud will allow me to upgrade other software I use now.

  I was invited by the company, I'm working to get this cleared up and at the moment, I'm a bit confused by this.

  I visited the Adobe.com website, but it does give me the level of advice I need.

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  DPS has been recently integrated with CCM in which you can publish as much built in single edition App you want. But in order to integrated multi app problem and much more a publishing solution, you need the Pro or the company. Through this comparison buying guidefor clarity. Please note that DPS integration with CCM is not a complete publishing solution. DPS with CCM is an added benefit to users in a way CCM.

  Infact if you demo alone with the Adobe Content Viewer, you don't need DPS at all. You just need Indesign CS5/CS5.5/CS6

  But if you publish live apps on the appstore, you need DPS to be able to do. And depending on the type of content is published online, you must be DPS/CCM/Pro/Enterprise edition only.

  If you publish only one issue/app, simple editing or CCM will suffice

  If you want to publish mutiple built in unique isssue app you need of CCM

  If you publish multiple multi-isssue applications, you need the Pro or the company

  I have two sites that are connected by 10 M ATM and unique cluster CCM this PUB and on Traghetti SUB1 and SUB2 site B. I want to install two unity servers on each location.

• MWI does not not in 4.0 (4) Unity and integration Domino 6.5.2

  I installed the 4.0 unit (4) integration Domino 6.5.2 but MWI does not.

  The MWI to update correctly if I click on the 'update status' or 'Manage intégrations' Resync but not automatic.

  Any idea?

  I'm trying to integrate a cucm with a cluster of cuc 9.1 9.1 cluster. Some confusing points that I hope can be clarified.

  1. I created a voicemail with 48 ports server that will satisfy both servers of cuc

  for cuc

  I created a phone with two groups of ports system.

  two point of Group on the same server port voicemail prefix but different servers cuc. each pg also has a different sequence of the tftp servers.

  the problem with this design is that voice on the cucm ports not recorded with the port group that is configured to point to the cucsub. port groups cucpub point fits very well.

  Is how to configure the integration of a cluster of cuc. I saw the guides but it is more oriented towards stand-alone configurations.

  Help please!

  The SRND for CXN stipulates that all calls should be directed to the Subscriber with the Publisher handling overflow beyond the capabilities of the Subscriber and/or failover when the Subscriber is offline. They should not be balanced alternating.

  You can create two servers of voicemail with the wizard and give them separate device classes if you need to register for the various nodes of CCM.

  PS - You can also avoid this mess of all of the port on CUCM by integrating on SIP instead of SCCPS. In this case, you still have the CXN ports but they are only logical entities; CUCM has just a SIP trunk to each node. There is a separate for this integration guide.

  Please remember useful frequency responses and identify useful or correct answers.

  We have just implemented VOIP with 4.3 Callmanager and unity 4.2. We are slowly migrating our Meridian users more at Cisco by Department. Our phone provider configure our servers and they tell us it is not possible on the following problem:

  Meridan e-mail users can transmit their messages to anyone on the side of Cisco. When they send their messages to the user on the cisco side, the message is found in the cisco users old Meridian mailbox.

  I find that odd, since the cisco phone, if the user dials the old meridian phone number (6200) they can check their messages on the e-mail Meridan.

  Does anyone know a work around for this?

  Basically, you have two choices... Either use FRIENDS on both sides so that they can transfer between systems messeges... or convert you everybody on the unit.

  The two systems are entirely separate and have no way to "talk" to each other, with the exception of AMIS. The Protocol of AMIS works and is well documented, but it is a nightmare to admistrtaive if you have thousands of users and multiple sites.

  If you are dealing with a single site, less than 1000 users, create a voicemail migration plan and move everyone to the unit. You should be able to use the unit with Meridain phone system. Dialogical, VG248s or PIMG peripheral cards are the key elements of the migration. (function that works and happening DTMF of the Meridian unit)

  There is no quick answer, that's a lot of time and planning that must take place if you want a Vmail system smoothly to all users...

  The permissions to allow the unit to create objects user AD, groups and distribution lists are made by running the wizard of permissions of the unit as well as configured when you install the unit (for example, you specify if you want to create user objects, or simply import subscribers, which is how we do it). The default password for the Windows account of the user of the AD is listed in the template of the default subscriber passwords, domain Windows Password Settings section. For security reasons, it must be changed to follow the policies of your organization password. You can change this by creating a new model, based on the default subscriber, with a new Windows Password Settings that gets applied to new subscribers as they are created or imported. The unit is not a LDAP database, it uses the Active Directory database. Database SQL of the unit is synchronized with the information in the AD. CallManager uses its own telephone directory and user information or can use AD. We chose NOT to incorporate the MAC with AD. It is a personal choice for us - we didn't want to CCM or unity, creation of user objects. Maybe it's a different look for a Messaging voice only implementation rather than Unified Messaging. I can't deal with your issue on the integration of Cisco databases and unity.

• The CCM 4.1.3 4.0.4 unit problem

  Hello

  I've recently upgraded CCM and unity to 4.1.3 and 4.0.4... Given that we are improving when we sutdown editor all the VM port are busy until the editor came back to the top. All the VM are stored at the Subscriber. Also in the integration of the primary e unit CCM is the Subscriber, and the slave is the Publisher.

  Should I check elsewhere to find another config that it could have an impact?

• Replacing the fan for w/15.4 "screen and GPU integrated T60

  The combo fan/heater several months ago, I bought for my T60 was apparently the 41W6409 for a T60 with discreet gpu and cpu, but mine is an integrated model that uses the 41W6408.

  As I can't return it, I was just thinking to replace the old fan with that on the new heatsink. But I'm not sure that it will fit, being the only FRU I could find for the Fan/Heatsink combo.

  So, I was wondering if someone here who happened to know if these fans are the same.

  Steve, you can use the unobtrusive radiator on your integrated motherboard. In fact, the best option in my opinion is to go with a T61 heatsink that is designed to cool the much more powerful X 3100 graphics and uses the thermal paste rather than pads type blade of silicone used to cool graphic systems T60. Alternatively, you can replace these pads with thermal paste on the heatsink T60 but unity T61 is better in my opinion. I can't tell you if the fans are interchangeable, because there was more than one fan used on the T60 models intel, some were, and some were not. There was also a discreet couple different sinks of heat, but will be more than enough for the cooling of your integrated graphics. Platform which cools the discrete gpu will not be used so it isn't a problem and cooling chipset platform will suffice for the cooling of your integrated graphics.
