Intermittent output HDMI (sound and vision) Z70-80

Hey everybody,

Hope someone has some useful advice. Got my lenovo about a week ago. Try to connect to my smart TV via HDMI and are based on the questions:

1 connection is not immediate, i.e. I need to plug and unplug the cable hdmi repeatedly until I receive audio and visual signal.

2. when it happens that the connection is intermittent and I need to redo the procedure of sam, but still the connection remains inconsistent.

I've never faced it with my very very very old Toshiba laptop. Once I have connected the Toshiba smart TV connection was there immediately without effort.

Is there something that I am on?

I would be very grateful for any help

Thanks in advance

If it works sometimes and sometimes not, seems to be a hardware problem.

If your phone has a removable battery, unplug the power, remove the battery and hold the power button / stop for 40 seconds.

Connect everything, then restart. See if that helps.

If you don't have a removable battery, then contact you lenovo and tell them you received a defective HDMI port and the connection is intermittent.

It is the page to check the phone numbers and guaranteed to call-

  • Playback devices does not recognize an output HDMI for sound!

I have my HDMI connected with video but my output of sounds/audio/playbackdevices does not recognize that I have a connected TV, how do audio? theres no monitor to set as audio device by default!

Normally, HDMI carries audio as well as video, so choose HDMI as the included default playback device work. If you don't see a HDMI, try:

    Click on:

    Start-> Control Panel-> Sound > tab reading .

Now right click on an empty area and make sure that see the disabled devices and see the disconnected devices are enabled (checked). If your playback device (HDMI) appears, right-click on it and select enable. Now, right click on them again and select set as default device.

If the above does not try to install the latest package of graphics driver that they usually contain the necessary audio drivers for output over HDMI.

You can also check that your graphics card is capable of audio over HDMI output as some may not.

I unplugged the back of each device's HDMI cords and swapped 'em out and swpaped cords around each unit with no results. I also noticed at the top the screen am I on will not disappear, I am on HDMI 1, which is my pc it stays on until I hit the remote control display.

  • sound and Vibration Assistant. Speaker output

I am new to the sound and Vibration Assistant and he had to get monitored sound of a surfboard 4722 the speaker to computers.  I can capture data and display it, but I want, but can't seem to find a way to get the sound to the speakers.  Thanks for any help

    Hi Mike.

Unfortunately, the Sound and Vibration Assistant doesn't have a built-in way to route your signal input to your speakers.

However, if you have LabVIEW, you can add a step to run a LabVIEW VI that generates output a file from your computer speakers (or external speakers).  You must write a LabVIEW program that either acquires a signal or load a file of recorded signal, then this signal to your speakers.  "You will most likely use the Play Waveform Express VI of the Express" exit pallet on the block diagram.  "After you wrote this program, you need to add a step in the sound and Vibration Assistant using the Add a step" run a LabVIEW VI.

I hope this helps.  Good luck with your application!

  • Loss of the HDMI sound after the monitor stop

    System:

HP laptop computer dv9330ca on Vista 64-bit. NVidea GE Force 7600 and Conexant audio.

I have hooked the lappy HDMI cable to the TV (Toshiba 32DT2U or 32C110U, not sure) and had no sound.  Define sound from digital output (SPDIF) in Control Panel - still no sound.  Video drivers updated - make us it sound.  Update audio drivers - sound disappeared. Audio restoration pilot - still no sound. Re-install video drivers - make us it sound.  Reboot - we still have sound!  The Toshiba power on and turn it on again - no noise :( Re-install video drivers - still no sound :(

I rebooted after all the steps mentioned above.  I am aware of "the digital sound setting" in Control Panel, but it's not helping more.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    * UPDATE *.

I thought if I have no sound HDMI anyway, I might as well re - install the latest video driver again...

HDMI sound came back after restart >.

I'm sure I have will lose it again, probably when I stopped - the system, but I thought that I'll let you know - cordially

    Thanks again for your time.

  • hdmi sound

    Hello!!!
I put the hdmi cable and I can see the image on the tv but I have no sound...
the problem occurs now I saw movies with her a long time ago, but now I can not...
    can someone help me?

    Hi buondi'sarei

By default the Vista transmits no sound on HDMI output.  To change this to change the settings in the control panel. We can also update the drivers for the device.

    Step 1:

Note: This turns off normal audio output sound on the system or speakers.  To get that back, you will need to reverse this process.

    1. click on the button 'Start '.

    2. click on "Control Panel."

    3. with the control to the "Control Panel Home" Panel, click on 'hardware and sound '.

    4. where it says "Sound" in green letters, there are three options below that are in blue, click on "manage Audio devices".

    5. This will bring up a window titled "Sound".

    6. on the tab 'Read' it has listed the sound options at your disposal. It should read "peripheral digital output (HDMI)" click on it.

    7. it should now check this option box.

    8. the sound should play through your HDMI connections to the TV.

You need to update your drivers if incase the above step does not work.

Step 2: We can try to day drivers to the most recent and check if it works.

Step 3: If it is a recent problem, we can try a System Restore.

After back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • New Blu - Ray HDMI sound problem

Whenever I play a most recent blu - ray with the Mediasmart DVD application disc, I get only sound through my speakers laptop even if my TV is plugged into the HDMI port and I can say that the port is the current output device into the cursor of the mouse on the sound icon on the taskbar.  I updated the driver program and its Mediasmart as much as I could.  If I play an old blu - ray or DVD, the sound comes out of the TV very well.  In addition, any other application that uses sound works fine too.

I tried the suggestion of HP in the FAQ where they tell me to put the "SPDIF (Digital out via HP docking station)' as the default in the sound control panel device.  But I don't get all the sounds for any application to do this.  I've noticed that the SPDIF device using IDT audio codec high definition, which is the only sound driver that I can update.  The NVIDIA HDMI output device which is under it in the control panel uses the NVIDIA High Definition audio instead, and I don't know how update if necessary.  Any suggestions?

BTW, I use a laptop HP HDX 16 with Vista Home premium 64-bit.

I had the same problem.  Here's what worked for me:

    Remove the drive blueray disc.

    Reboot the laptop.

Turn on the TV and select it's an HDMI input.

Connect the HDMI to the TV cable to the laptop.

The display shall transfer to the TV (laptop becomes black)

    Open the Mediasmart drive.

    Select DVD

    Open "Settings" (the gear symbol)

    Click the tab "Audio".

    Select "HDMI passthrough" and apply.

NOW, put the blueray disc in the drive.

Give it some time to start on its own.

(Note; If you try to adjust the "settings" with a disc in the drive, or without going through the HDMI cable connected, the "HDMI" passthrough not appear as an option.)

Now that I have followed this procedure, I got no additional problem. TV audio plays, not the laptop, and I can use my home theater sound system to take the "audio" television and he takes in my cable box (and increase the volume of the TV at the bottom).

I hope this helps. I was pulling on my hair until I discovered this. Let us know if it works for you.

  • HDMI sound has stopped working - dv9266ea

    Hey!

I have a laptop dv9266ea with WinVista Home Premium and a few 1-2 months ago my sound does not work as it should. We used to be able to plug the laptop to our TV using a HDMI cable and change the sound default and everything was good, but now we have not any sound at all more. Photo is excellent as usual.

Are more people who has the same problem, so it might be because of some update somewhere here? Or anyone knows of another solution?

Never mind. Swedish support couldn't give me an answer. American support couldn't give me an answer. 2 times I had the mother exchanged at just 1.5 years (the last time they destroyed the volume controls and said that they didn't fix it for me, even if they one wrecked at HP), and my brother had his mother traded 3 times on a similar model.

HP seems to suck. I'm going to buy a new laptop to mark another in a few weeks and then it goes in the trash. I lost the way a lot of time and money because of all it's flaws and time away for repair.

Solution: Trash and get another brand.

  • Output HDMI does not work on Satellite L775

    Hello.

I have a new Toshiba Satellite L775 with HDMI output.

I wanted to connect the laptop to my TV to watch pictures via HDMI.
    But it did not work.
I connected the laptop with HDMI cable for my Samsung - LCD - TV screen.
Time, wireless and TV are already functioning. (Normally I use the cable for TV receiver, with no problems).

I tried to change the output with Fn + F5 to TV-monitor (or TV-monitor & laptop).
But the TV does not detect not the laptop, in any case.

    What's wrong?

    Thanks for the solutions.

    Best regards
    WE34

I agree with Feliks if the TV supports different HDMI ports, you must make sure that the TV has been set to the correct HDMI port.
Choose in the settings of the TV the HDMI port and then you can use Fn + F5 to switch to the TV output.

  • Satellite L650-1GC - output HDMI No.

I plugged my L650-1GC HDMI output to my TV I've done several times in the past, but the display settings do not see the second monitor.

Other forums seem to suggest that this is not uncommon, but no one offers a reliable solution.

    I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
I tried different cables and different contributions to the (Bravia) TV

    I also reloaded the driver.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

For the video signal via HDMI, you must connect both devices with a HDMI cable and I finally must use combinations of keys FN + F5 to choose place you in video output.

Of course, we must ensure that the right channel HDMI was chosen on your TV.

By the way; try to set the BIOS (F2) to the default settings

  • HDMI Audio and Windows 7

I'm trying to connect my Pavilion dv6 on my HDTV with a HDMI cable. I make the video, but no audio on the TV speakers. The problem started after I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I had no problem with HDMI with windows Vista.

I tried to date/reinstall the audio drivers from the HP website, but it does not work. I also tried to go into the control panel and change the playback device, but the HDMI audio device icon no longer appears in the playback devices dialog box. Read-only devices are speakers and headphones double independent double headphones and SPDIF (Digital Out Via HP dock.)

How can I solve this problem? Why the HDMI device is not displayed in the reading dialog box?

Hi all HDMI his problem solved after I installed the new windows 7, icon hdmi on the menu of display devices have disappeared.  Here's what I did and the icon go back and redo the sound work of hdmi. Graphics cards intel must be updated. The link below will take you to the site intel and it detects the updates required for your system. http://www.Intel.com/support/detect.htm run the program and install the required updates and then restart windows. HDMI icon will be back and the sound will work normal as before.  I hope it will solve the problem of everyone with the hdmi sound problem.
