  I NI USB-6212 device, LabVIEW 2010 and DAQmx 9.1.5 on Windows 7 (x 64) device drivers. Device is normally recognized on another computer, but not on my computer. When I plugin device, searching for drivers to boot Windows, but they are not. The Windows Device Manager sees the device as unknown device, and MAX sees him not at all.   I don't think that it is the cause of your problem (since you mentioned that the Windows Device Manager does not see the device), but you should also note that there is a problem in 9.1.5 where devices are not necessarily recognized by MAX; patches are available for 9.1.5 or you can go to DAQmx 9.1.7 or 9.2.2.

  I don't have a chance to see the USB-serial last night.  I'll make a note to try it again tonight.

  Dennis is right.  You need to focus on the determination of what works or not in communications.  Look at the system information (Apple menu > about this Mac > more info...).  Then select the USB item in the list of the contents of the left column.  See if USB devices to look like they could be serial port emulators.  I don't remember exactly what they are called.  If the device doesn't appear like USB Raw, it probably means that no driver has been installed.  You can unplug the unit and see what are the changes.  This will tell you if the operating system sees the device.

  You are right.  Entry as well as the Red 'X' indicates only that your computer sees the device here but don't know how to use.  It won't hurt anything.  It will just ignore it.

  Thank you for your response.  I don't think it was supposed to be here, either.  Since I wrote, there has been no other incidents with the computer hooked to restart.  Maybe install Windows Defender helped?  I also use Sandboxie in most browsing situations.

• WRT1900AC - devices shown on the network map is not all visible in Windows 7 Explorer

  I just bought the router 1900AC as substitute of plugin for my previous WRT54GL router using DD - WRT.

  Each of the Linksys routers is configured for an IP 192.168.2.1 and each is configured to assign the device of intellectual property within this subnet.

  Each router works (not at the same time of course) when it is attached as a secondary router behind my Telus ActionTec V1000H DSL Modem/Router.  All my LAN devices with Gb ports are now much faster.  Internet speeds are tremendous.

  However, with the new 1900AC, my PC under Windows 7 router only see each other in the network of Windows Explorer pane.  In the content pane, I see my two Western Digital MyBookLive and my printer HP Laserjet devices, as well as media devices on my network.  But if I try to access a file (such as Notepad) and I select the network node, only the other PC appears in the list.

  The network of the 1900AC map shows all devices without any problem.

  The old WRT54GL router has also had no problem display all network devices.

  For the benefit of third parties, if the router sees your devices but your windows PC does not work, drop your firewall and refresh your network view.  If the devices will be displayed, you must configure your firewall to let all devices in your same subnet.  This should apply to any firewall on any version of windows, I suspect.

  I'm trying to pair a watch of sensor and heart rate Mio Alpha (a WHEAT device Smart Bluetooth 4.0 needed) my Z2 (4.4.4 Android). This was partly successful since:

  After a day of hunting for a working application and study manual watches I arrived at these conclusions:

  -the device can be matched in the BT phone settings. It must be enabled and the pairing is (or not) in applications

  -Endomondo, Runtastic and Sports Tracker does not find the device

  -Go Mio and Wahoo Fitness will pair with the Alpha of Mio. I will go with Wahoo

  This experience is frustrating because there seems to be no problem at all during the use of the Alpha of Mio and the above applications with an iPhone.

  I have some experience with this external HARD drive and to be honest it of not possible to remove the external CD-Rom USB option from the post office.

  As far as I know after connecting to the laptop the small window pops up asking you the password. As far as I know that I used the standard password 12345 or something like that.
  After validation of password successfully the USB HDD appeared in my computer.

  I tried to disable this and use the HARD drive without the software and CD-ROM option, but it has not been possible
