  I see that Mozy is now discontinued in the Iomega ix2 NAS. I can't use Amazon S3 for philosophical reasons. Are there other available for off-site backup solutions? I tried to learn more about EMC Atmos, but I can't find a service provider that I can understand. I am very discouraged and I think that all the support has been ignored for this porduct.

  We are seriosly thought about the posibility to define ESXI - Hypervisor - with Iomega ix2-200 NAS. We were check the official documentation for Iomega. I checked that ix2-200 is supported for ESXI 4.0, but we are not sure if pressed for ESX 5.0.
  Someone knows this product is compatible with VMware? I have not found any associated IX2-200 and Esxi 5.0

  If it is not on the HCL, this is not supported.

  However, it works very well (I run it every day).  This is not supported because most suppliers are not going in the effort to verify support for N - 2 equipment.

  If the support is important to you, why not pick up a px4/px6 supported?

  Yes, it's possible; at least with the ix2 - dl, because that's what I have. Your router must be able to port forwarding TCP 21 to the ix2 network I.P. address. As long as others can hit your router or DDNS address associated with, that they reach your SIN by FTP. If the ix2 is configured with the default of multimedia access permissions, FTP access to those records out this address designated or authorized users can FTP with their powers, for example ftp://username:[email protected]. (code = password. * beep * HTML converts in asscode in an emoji!)

  Just get an IX2 NAS, and I'm an office space shared with connection Wi - Fi. How can I configure / install my NAS (to share between the 4 PCs) not connected to the router?

  RAID 1 is the default value of factoriy for a completely filled ix2 (2drives)

  Check your settings in https:///manage/drives.html?cat=all #.

  Note: you may lose all your data if you decide to change the RAID type, so before saving.

  RAID 1 is 'mirror', so you will get only half the capacity rather than RAID0 or JBOD.

  Your suggestion does not solve the problem. But I saw the NAS via router initially and then set a fixed ip address for the NAS in the settings. OK now.

  Make sure you use the correct credentials. What error gives when you try to connect? If you cannot log in or have forgotten your name of user and password, you can press in and hold the reset button on the back of the unit for 15 seconds or until the device restarts.

• Cannot connect to the ix2 Lenovo after the 4.1.202.33573 firmware update

  Hello, I've updated firmware for 4.1.202.33573 (the previous was 4.1.106.31982) and after that, I can not connect my Lenovo ix2 using different web browsers. After you type the user name and password and clicking "login" nothing happens for 1 + hour but appears only "processing...". "message on background greyed. After more than an hour of "processing...". "it appears the error message:" impossible (get/read) asked for information "(excuse me risk of errors in the translation of Polish messages in English). • IX2 - dl actions do not appear on start up

  I have an Iomega IX2 - DL, which is only a few months old. Lately, when I turn it on, all my actions do not see the and I'm unable to access my data. If I leave it for about 5-10 minutes, they finally appear to give me access to my data.

  Hoping someone has an idea on what could be the issue.

  I tried a system check of files in mode offline, but for some reason, that would not work (I guess the damage spread beyond the data is not mounted in the lenovo partition).

  Fortunately, I still had most of my data on my NAS old then I attached the reader lenovo to a container of disk external usb and saved just the additional data.

  I have now done a factory reset and I am trying to move my data again through to the lenovo.

  Seems to be a behavior at the moment. I will continue to monitor the lenovo and if it happens again, I'll open a service ticket.

  I can only imagine that a firmware for the corrupt lenovo system update, causing problems. I think I'll put the lenovo drive in the usb container and backup the system incase any other partition cause other problems the firmware updates.

  I make a copy of the large data, and internal temperatures are higher I would like to see.

  There is not a way to change the fan speed manually. The fan turns on when the device has reached a certain temperature. Is your ix2 in a well ventilated area?

  I'm trying to figure out how to get an RMA number for a warranty for my iOmega ix2 return. I checked my warranty and it's good for another year. The Lenovo Web site sent me round and round, never really getting to any kind of page which will allow me to enter my serial number and other data of warranty.

  I would like to call or chat but it's Saturday, and these options do not appear to be taken over the weekend.

  For my Asus router, I have the following entries specifically for the cloud of Lenovo/Iomega ix2 - dl

  Iomega Personal cloud	443	192.168.1.101	443	TCP
  Iomega Personal Cloud	50500	192.168.1.101	50500	BOTH

  When the ip address is the ip address internal of the ix2 - dl. You will also need to open potentially other ports for other services, such as FTP, Torrent of Transmission, etc.
