iPad can't connect to Airport utility

iPad has lost its connection to the Airport utility, but other devices (Macbook Pro, iPhone) maintain their links with Airport utility.  Any suggestions?

Hi bazzagi,

I'm not sure I follow your question. I read that you be unable to connect to Wi - Fi or you can't really monitor your Wi - Fi network that is located on an Airport base station. Whatever it is, I have some information that will help out you.

Start with connection Wi - Fi in general, take a look at the article below. Must you make sure Wi - Fi is enabled, reboot your device and you may even need to reset the network settings on your iPad.

Now, if you are referring to the connection to the Airport utility application, then take a look at the article below. Must you either restart your iPad or you may need to set up the configuration of the airport again so it will be recognized.

  • Can I connect my Airport Extreme base station via an ethernet cable to a counter of locus?

Can I use my Airport Express (802.11n Wi - Fi) to connect with an ethernet cable, a locus counter that is used with a solar panel inverter?  Currently I use the hotspot to connect two different Mac computers and an Ipad.  Sungevity, Setup, told me that the signal must go in a direction of my locus meter satellite modem.  Sungevity also told me that if I can hard wire any device (such as a computer) directly from my Airport, I should also be able to do the same with the meter of locus.  Has anyone tried this before?

I can't connect my mobile to my iMac using edge inspect. • iPad can't connect to the router

    Hello

I have a WRT320N router with firmware version 1.0.01 build 008.  I just got an iPad and so that it can find my router, I can't access the WiFi when I enter my password.  I can use the router with my laptop so I know the login and the password are correct.

I saw two directors here suggest the same thing.  And one person said it worked.  The same directions were:

Try changing some wireless settings on the router.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Open the router configuration page.

Click on the wireless tab and put in manual configuration. Change the channel to 11 wireless. Save the settings.

Go to the wireless tab and click the settings advanced wireless.

Change the tag to 75 interval, RTS threshold to 2307 and 2306 fragmentation threshold. Save the settings.

Try to connect to the wireless network again and see if it works.

    My problems are:

    1. I think that my computer is already connected to the router with the Ethernet cable - I want to say that it is an Ethernet cable attached to my computer and my router - in slot 1 on the router

2 - the only thing I know how to access is the Linksys EasyLink Advisor.  What and where is the router configuration page?

Thanks - I wouldn't think that if I can't get my router to work, I just lost money on an iPad only WiFi and will instead get one of these devices to attach to the iPad that allows you to connect to wireless internet - like device "clear."

Read the user guide. The web interface is at http://192.168.1.1/ unless you changed the address LAN IP of the WRT.

  • How can I connect my Airport time capsule to my WiFi network so he just backup my Mac and not extend nor want to be a base station

How do I connect/install my time capsule airport to my new WiFi network so she just backup my Mac and not to extend my WiFi or want to be a WiFi hotspot

There is no way to connect a TC to a wifi network. It must be connected by ethernet to the main modem or to the router.

    I don't understand what you're asking...

If you want that the backup more wireless computer... How the TC cannot work as Wifi hotspot... It's impossible.

  • How can I connect my Airport time capsule to the nbn optus

I just got the NBN Optus connected and time capsule doesn't seem to work, can anyone advice on how to connect. I connected to a modem (Sagem Fast 38640op) with cable but the mac does not expect a return to the top

You should do a full factory reset on the TC...

Repeat the installation... and it should work correctly in bridge and create a wireless network.

The Sagemcom really poor wireless but you can leave it on... use it for your network wireless of comments.

This is my normal configuration guide... but there are a few specific pieces to network problems with the operating system later as Yosemite or El Capo.

Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the drive hard in doing so.

    Universal factory reset

Turning off the TC... That is, remove the power supply cord or the power at the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds... Hold the reset button... be nice... Turn on always even now in reset... and keep holding in for another 10 seconds. You may need assistance because it is difficult to hold in reset and power on. It will show the success quickly flashing led front. Release reset... and wait a few minutes for the TC to reset and return with the factory settings. If the front LED flashes quickly you missed and simply try again. The reset is quite fragile in these... Press the key while it is just click away and not more... I've seen people bend lever or even break. I use a toothpick as a tool.

NB. None of your files on the hard drive of the TC are removed... This simply clears the settings of the router of the TC.

    The installer the TC.

And then redo the configuration of the computer with the Mavericks - Yosemite - ElCapo. (MYELCAP)

    1. the use of very short names... NO APPLE RECOMMENDED names. Without the space and pure alphanumeric characters.

for example TCgen5 for the base station and the name of the TCwifi wireless.

If the problem is using wireless TC24ghz and TC5ghz with fixed channels as it also seems to help stop the nonsense. But it can be tried in the second round. IE, plan on a first and second series of changes to fix this... If all goes well... I note other steps can you tour2.

    2. use all passwords also consistent with 1. but maybe a little longer. IE 8 and 20 characters of mixed cases and numbers... no alphanumeric non-caracteres.

    3. If the TC is router, you can ignore this point. It is only a problem when the TC is bridged.

If ensure that the TC is always the same IP address... you will need to do this on the main router using a dhcp reservation... or a bit more complex setup by using the static IP address in the TC. But it's important for deriving from intellectual property in all directions when MYELCAP do not remember his name for 5 min after a reboot done for poor network management.

    4. check that your share on the computer name does not change... Make sure that it is also in line with the above... short without space and pure alphanumeric... but this change will mess up your TM backup... so be prepared to make a new, full backup. Sorry... keep this one for the second round, if you want to avoid a new backup.

5 attach the TC disc into the computer manually.

In Finder, go, connect to the server in the main menu,

Type in SMB://192.168.0.254 (or whatever ip of TC is that you made static. It's a default router 10.0.1.1 and I encourage people to stick with it unless you know what you're doing).

You can use the name... SMB://TCgen5.local where you replace TCgen5 with your name of TC... local is the default domain of the TC and does not change.

However the names are not so easy as... the IP address nor reliable. They are not at least not in Yosemite. The field can also be a problem if you are not clogged or wireless directly to the Treasury Board.

    6. ensure that IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open network, wireless and Advanced preferences / TCP/IP... and the difficulty of IPv6. link-local only. Do the same for the ethernet if you use it.

It is a lot more jiggery pokery, you can try, but the above is a good start... If you still find not reliable... don't be surprised.

You may need to do more work on the computer itself. for example, to reset the NVRAM/PRAM/SMC... helped some people. A clean installation of the operating system is also useful if you update installed.

  • Time Capsule will not respond to Airport utility

    Here's my situation.

I have a Time Capsule as my single wireless AP.  The led is green.  All my devices are able to access it without problem.  I can all the Time Machine backups on the internal drive.

    However...

When I try to access the TC via the Airport on my MacBook Pro (10.10.5) utility I get the next series of notifications:

    (1) when the first attempts to access it, I get the message 'read settings on the Time Capsule XXXXX'

    (2) after a few minutes of this status, I get a yellow triangle with "Device Not Found.  XXXXX Time Capsule was previously part of your network.  Check that it is still within range of your network and it is plugged into a power outlet.  Forget this device removes this network (button) [FORGET]

When I try to access to utility Airport on my iPad Air (9.2), I am able to access the information about the hardware, but no matter how many times I enter the password, I have no answer.

The device is not in a convenient place for a direct ethernet access, but it is possible.  Can anyone think of a reason why I can't access via Airport utility?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you did not do a complete network feeding cycle in a while, now would be a good time to do this.

Turn off all devices on your network..., modem, router, computers, accessories, etc... in any order you want

    Wait a minute

Start the modem first and let run for 2-3 minutes

Then begin the next device connected to the modem and let it run for a minute

Keep a minute out one at a time until the entire network is back of boot devices

Recheck the network and AirPort on your Mac utility

    Report on the results

  • Cannot find the Airport Express Airport utility

    Hello

I have a firmware running extreme Airport 7.6.7. 6.3.6 and one Airport utility Terminal Airport Express (model A1392). I have access to my system on a Macbook pro. Also have the app on my iPhone.

My Airport Express and extreme talked to each other and have been broadcast on the Airport utility. However, I had to change my wifi password and the network password. After that, the Airport extreme restarted. After the reboot, my Express was no longer recognized by my network. The Express has a light orange and blinks repeatedly. I can't connect to the express to address the issue of amber light.

I have read many posts on the forum. However, I still have to find a solution. How to connect the airport utility to the Airport express?

Thanks for any help, you can make it,

You have changed the password for WiFi on AirPort Extreme... but... the AirPort Express Terminal was previously programmed to connect by using your password in the "old".  The Express is lost, unable to find the network at all and doesn't know what to do.

You can help the AirPort Express by doing a hard reset on the AirPort Express to clear the old network settings and passwords, and then configure the Express again to connect to your network 'nine' with the 'new' password.

After the back if you don't know how to proceed.

  • Where is the other button Options described in airport utility instructions 6 above?

I can't find the button "Other Options" mentioned in the 6 instructions for Airport Express Airport utility: how to join an existing in client mode WiFi network... can someone direct me to the right screen?

If you are using an AirPort Express station with a 3rd party wireless router, the 'Join a wireless network' option should appear automatically when you start the installation program "Assistant".  In the example below, the Express will be configured to join a Uverse wireless network.

Well that "Client Mode" is never mentioned anywhere in 6.x or 5.x, AirPort utility when the Express is set up to "join" to a network, it is in client mode.  Apple's not exactly makes very clear.

You may not, but the other Options button down, bottom left of the window in the example above. Choose the option 'Add to an existing network' if the Setup screen does not suggest firstly that the Express will be set to 'join' the network.

If you are using an AirPort Express station with another router from Apple, the installation wizard will automatically configure the Express to "extend a wireless network. Once the installation is finished, you can go back using AirPort Utility and manually change the setting for the Express ' To develop a wireless network ' to 'Join a wireless network' and then update to save the new settings.

  • How can I configure my Airport Express to mesh with new cable modem bridge mode?

Time Warner sent me a new cable modem and my Airport express still flashing orange light. How can I configure the Airport express in bridge mode?

You can simply do using AirPort Utility on your iMac or iPhone, as follows:

    • Run the AirPort Utility.
    • Select the AirPort Express Terminal and then, select change.
    • For a Mac:
      • On the network tab, change the router Mode to: Off (bridge Mode)
      • Select to update and allow the base station restart.
    • For an iOS device:
      • Select Advanced > DHCP and NAT
      • Change the router Mode to: Off (bridge Mode)
      • Select done and allow the base station restart.

  • I just upgraded to a pace 5268AC router and can connect is more to my Airport base station. It does not appear in Airport utility. Any suggestions?

I just upgraded to a pace 5268AC router and can connect is more to my Airport base station. The base station does not appear in Airport utility. Any suggestions?

Whenever you change the modem or modem/router to which the airport links... or... change your Internet connection process, the airport must be reset to the default settings and then set it up again to work with the new device.

Your message did not mention if you did that, but if not... to perform a Hard Reset on the router of the airport would be the first thing to do, to follow in setting up the airport once again, just as you would if the airport was new and connection to your modem/router for the first time.

  • Airport utility sees my Time Capsule wireless but can't seem to connect to it or to join.

I recently moved and my new place I had divided the time to be wired into my Mac Mini Capsule.  Unfortunately, my modem and the time Capsule should be in the living room and my Mini Mac in another room (office).  I tried to connect or to participate in the TC with nothing doesn't.  I have reset the TC, restarted the MM and nothing.  Airport utility see the TC, but can't join her.  Any form of guidelines and suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.  DannyOkie.

If you reset the Time Capsule (TC) properly holding the reset for 7-8 seconds button, releasing one allowing a full minute of the CT to restart... and... "or have a connection by Ethernet cable from your modem to the WAN" O "port on the TC... then the AirPort Utility will not 'see' the TC again until you put up again.

To do this, you click the WiFi icon at the top of the screen of the Mac and are looking for a list of the new AirPort base station. Just below this list, you would click on Time Capsule to get the 'Assistant' Installation running.  The example below shows an AirPort Extreme as the new device, but you will see Time Capsule on your screen.

When the configuration "Wizard" opens, it will take a few seconds to scan the network and then propose the correct configuration for you, with a screen similar to the one you see below appearing.

Click next to start the process, and then follow the guests to name your wireless network name the TC, set up passwords. Once you have updated TC up and running, AirPort Utility will display the CT if you need to make changes to the settings.

  • Airport utility can't find my TC

When I try to configure my new TC of T3, he appears as a router (not a base station) in the WiFi menu in the main menu as "GPS Wi-Fi-netvaerk" requiring a WPA2-password. Airport utility does not. It's as if it was only one recycled already configured TC. What should I do?

I don't think I understand your question very well.

But the way around the problem is the complete reset of the TC and start again... Here are my basics of installation.

There are some things that are important. IPv6 is always an important issue so make sure you use a link-local only in my point 6 below.

Also using iOS version airport utility is often more effective than a Mac. Just download airport utility from the app store for ipad or iphone...

Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the drive hard in doing so.

    Universal factory reset
