iPhoto (metadata) iOS file information

Hello

Is it possible to display an info of photo/video (file size, location etc.) contained within the iPhoto iOS application. I remember to see him in the opening of macOS application...

No, sorry.  The Photos.app on iOS devices does not display a lot of meta data.  It just goes to show the date and location, iPhoto on iOS 7 used to be able to show the file name, size, but since the upgrade to iOS 8 and newer, it is more possible. Maybe the 3rd party apps can show this, but I have yet to find any.

  • Save metadata to file

I keyworded on 1000 images today. I knew that the a few months, I had sometimes added keywords without their writing in the file, so I had a number of images with the status of metadata reading "Has been changed" rather than "updated".

I searched this forum and online to see if there was a way to find images that were not only "date". I found a message on this forum that said it wasn't really a way to do it, but Lightroom would be to update only the files that were, in fact, changed, even if I selected all the. (The vast majority of my files have been 'informed'.)

So, I selected all the images and "Save metadata to file." But now, each image has the current date as the update.

Would be happening because I had never clicked "save metadata to file" for most of my images that I started using Lightroom in August 2009? The first day I used Lightroom, I imported about 25,000 images, but they previously all iView and were all keyworded already.

I'm a littled weirded out by that, but I guess that everything is fine. Even if it isn't, I 2 copies of each image backup on my computer, as well as catalog backups.

    Thanks for any advice.

In General, when you select all of the images and do a save metadata to file all files is updated in some way, even if it is at the time of update. The best way to update only the files that have changed in fact is to select the folder, and then run the save metadata command (note the absence of the word file) in the folder context menu. Also, you don't need to select all files when you use this method.

  • Adding file to a jpeg file information affects quality?

If I add only some info file to a JPEG (no photo editing), it alters the quality of the picture? As if I put only in a description for the file of information on...  Photoshop will understand that I changed only the information about the file and not the photo itself?

Added information about the file will not affect the quality of the jpeg, as long as you file > save it after you have added the info file. I recommend adding file information in Bridge so you don't have to save in Photoshop. Simply select the photo of Bridge, choose file > file Info, add your info and your done without affecting the quality.

  • Need Photoshop Elements 8 - IOS file

I have a copy of Photoshop Elements 8, which I am trying to install on my new laptop (not reader).  Looking to download from the site, but only the Windows file is available.  Any ideas?  Don't want to buy a Creative cloud subscription (or no matter what other Adobe one) to do what I need.

You don't need the iOS file, you need the mac file, which you can find here:

    http://prodesigntools.com/direct-download-links-for-Lightroom-3-and-Photoshop-elements-8.h tml

(iOS is the operating system for iPad and iPhone. It is not the same as OS X, which is what Mac use.)

  • Save metadata to file? What is this good for?

I believe that file > save metadata to file is not really necessary.  I changed some of the metadata as the legend and notes and I do not choose this option in the menu. Then I look at the file in Photoshop, and the metadata has already been updated. Metadata are updated by itself for JPG files, and the XMP file in RAW files gets updated too without getting something more.

What is good save metadata to file then? Am I missing something?

    Thank you.

Some types of metadata like captions, notes are written automatically headers file, others, such as keywords, are not.

  • Save metadata to file problem

It's really confusing to me... In catalog settings, I automatically "save changes into XMP" NOT checked. When I want to record, I select all, then "save metadata to file. However, most of the time this saves only the image "Most selected", it does not t create/write to XMP for all files selected? However, I know that it is intended to save all of the selected files and I also know that sometimes it is / has recorded all of the XMP files for me. I can't understand why sometimes it saves all files and some time only "most selected"? I tried in the library and develop Modules. Is there a reason for this or is this some sort of bug?

I use Lightroom version 3 on a Mac. But I also used to have the same problem on Version 2 as well.

    Thank you very much

Switch to grid view - everything you do in the grid view should always be followed for all images.

  • Missing file information

Have recently bought a new computer and trandferred my photos on 2nd HDD.  If I open a photo that was published on the old computer and go to files - Information - and then select historical it shows me all the actions that I took in editing this file (photo).  If I opened a new photo on this computer and perform the same actions edition and then go to file - | Information - and then select historical, it shows nothing.  I realized the two suggestions given to me by the Support from Adobe (by increasing the size of the history and the size of the cache), but it makes no difference.  Can anyone help?

You mean it doesn't look like this?

Also you don't need to install all earlier versions, you must just available disks to be inserted when you are prompted.

  • Copy and paste files information metadata author information?

I format multiple files of a database online and want to copy the information from the author of the metadata in the file Info field and paste it on the photo itself. It will be a watermark. I want to do it in batches.

If anyone can help me with a script for this, I'd be much abliged.

    Thank you!

I was missing a pair of brackets in my post "flatten"; cause should have flatten(); to add additional text, you can just concat to the end of string.

  • File information

How can I get Photoshop to remember what I type in the information file? There is a way to remember my name and Web sites, but I don't know which button to press or click

You think the semi-automatic entered option in file > Preferences of information that has been deleted after CC v 14

You can create a metadata template instead.

  • You must be able to export the metadata xml file.

Hello... not an issue as such, but more of a feature request.

I just spent 3 hours compiling an integer value of metadata in Folio Producer edition (which works much better than the generator XML sidecar).

And now I need to create an iPhone edition uses exactly the same information.

It would be very happy to be able to export the XML file and then import the XML file into the iPhone edition.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

Import/export of metadata is a common request. It's on the roadmap of the DPS team. You can apply for features here: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

  • Can import you a MIDI in GB iOS file or not?

It seems Apple technical support knows not what a MIDI file. After a long conversation with the support, the instructions I had were for AUDIO files. And, after asking twice if it was for the import of MIDI files. Either he can or he can't. I didn't think it was rocket science, but NOWHERE it does specifically say whether in all of the Apple documentation I've read. I'm looking for something like, "Don't you can't import MIDI files into GB to iOS." Or, "Yes, you can import a MIDI file in GB iOS and here's how."  I have to say, I would not be surprised if it is not possible, it would be stupid, but it would not surprise me. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for something like, "Don't you can't import MIDI files into GB to iOS."

Documentation from Apple generally tells you what can be done and how, but rarely, what cannot be done.

As for GarageBand iOS documentation does not explain how to import MIDI files, you can be sure, that it is not supported.

You can add songs from the music app to a project by using the loop browser. But it is not possible to import MIDI files to the Music.app.
