  I have a Mac Mini which I use as a Media Center, I want to control it from my macbook using 'back to my mac', both are running el capitan and the two ar completely updated. My router is an airport extreme 5th generation and is entirely up to date and all upwards completely.

  Successfully, I went through all the game instructions on the help sections.

  I think I'm finally at the end. I'm a longtime apple forums reader but a poster first...

  So I was reading through forums all day without success. Here's the situation:

  -In early 2011 MacBook Pro

  -OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan

  I tried everything I could find all the day, including:

  -Reset NVRAM

  -Signing in and out

  -Complete new installation of Mac OS X (I completely erased the hard drive)

  -Start

  -Profile comments, sign in, new Admin account login

  iMessage working on my other MacBook and iPhone, but I can not connect to all services on a laptop. When I put my information, it all turns gray for a few seconds, as is the logging and then just rest on the login screen. I can do it again and again without any difference. If I say "not now" on the login screen and go to Preferences, I just get the circle icon "load" days while trying to open a session. FaceTime gives me the same "loading" circle and back to my Mac says that it cannot connect to servers iCloud.

  Even more, if I add a google account in system preferences, I have 'messages' option for the account. This option is not in my iCloud account.

  I don't know what else to do, any help is appreciated wildly. My applecare missed like 3 years ago at this point.

• Back to my mac: get the files from hard drive

  Background: I tried to copy files from an external hard drive to iCloud. I didn't have no idea of back to my Mac has been verified (or even existed). When I dragged the files to iCloud it copied but it fills my iMac's hard drive. I need this 70 GB of available disk space.

  I disabled the back to my Mac and free memory in the iMac icon box is up GB 0.01 every 15 minutes. At this rate, I'll get an answer to this question before I know if it is significant or not.

  Question: Where are these files on my iMac drive? Are these files on my iMac drive? I can not find them. If they are there, they disappear or I have their garbage?

  If their trash, they will be deleted to iCloud. Check your document mobile/library username.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library.

• May my end 2011 MBP running 10.11.5 El Capitan using Back to My Mac to see my 2006 Mac Mini running Snow Leopard 10.6.8?

  I want to be able to access my Mac Mini to the road, but it supports the latest OS is 10.6.8 which was at the time of MobileMe. How can I use back to my mac to access the mini?

  I suspect that Snow Leopard 10.6 doesn't have access to iCloud, so set up Back-to-My-Mac might be a problem.

  I already followed the instructions from Apple to set up my MacBook Pro (El Capitan) at home to enable Back to My Mac and when I'm at work That MacBook Pro of David duly appears under shared in the Finder.

  I must have done something right I can do split screen works perfectly by entering my username and password but I can't to connect under... work, whenever it says failed to connect.  I do something good like if I type the word password then immediately for this shimmer/shake to say it's a mistake.

  I tried to set up my Time Capsule and the hard drive connected to it to be accessible on the internet via Back to My Mac. My Time Capsule is the main router and the modem to the ISP provided is in bridge mode. I followed the instructions of installation to the letter, but it still not connect when I try to on the internet. I tried to connect life iPhone tethering and friend home as well with no luck.

  Tried to help out a little and when I go to the iCloud tab in system preferences, I get the following message on the CCMM: Back to My Mac can be slow because multiple devices on your network provides network services. Turn off NAT and DHCP on one of the devices and try again.

  The problem is that NAT is enabled, my Time Capsule is set up for back to my Mac and I enabled sharing of files on it, as well as on WAN access records. I also tried the deactivation and activation CCMM on both Time Capsule and in settings iCloud, still the same error. My only goal is to be able to connect to the Time Capsule and access the files remotely.

  It may or may not be, because ISPS generally have some strange ideas about what the term "Clipping" might mean.

  What is the number and model of your modem?

  If all goes well, it is a simple modem.. .with a single Ethernet port the device... as in the example just below, which is the type of device that you really need to be able to access on your network from the Internet devices.

  

  I hope once again, it is not a type of modem/router or gateway device, which combines the functions of the modem router and separated in one package... as in the example below. Often, it is not possible to configure this type of law only as a simple modem device... and what the ISP calls 'Clipping'... is not really. Thus, you're left with a problem NAT which slows down and restricting remote access.

• I can't start back to my Mac since Wednesday last week

  I noticed nearly a week there that my mac back was turn off by itself.  I can't restart on one of my two Macs.  Errors are always the same.

  When I try to turn it on, it gives the message that something is wrong with my account and told me to turn off, log off, reboot, try again which Ive done 100 times, and does nothing.

  Some things I tried and did not work, that is:

  -reset the keychain

  -changed of place/date/time still fail

  -deleted keychain entries dealing with icloud

  -Remove preferences dealing with icloud

  -created a new admin on my Mac account and logged on icloud on it and start the CCMM and same result failure

  -Started from an external hard disk containing Mac OS 10.10.4 and login to icloud and try to start the CCMM and still does not work

  -disconnected all instances of icloud on all my devices, changed my saved password in each and tried again and it also fails.

  I can't solve the problem.  Is this a problem on the end of apples?

  Here are my entries in console when I have entered the system prefs in icloud and try to turn your back to my mac on one of my Macs.

• Do not reboot back to my Mac with my Apple ID

  Back to my mac feature suddenly turned itself and cannot be started again the days on my Macbook Pro 2011 (Mavericks 10.9.5) and Air 2015 (Yosemite 10.10.5). I have drawn a few screenshots below, please take a look.

  It worked perfectly fine and I changed no settings at all. The only thing I've done, don't know if it of related or not, is updating Safari to version 9.0.2 on Mavericks and perhaps some security update, it is not displayed in the current list in the app store.

  I tried ticks/start function in setting > iCloud, but quick to slightly once again. Tried to log off, restart, create a new user, re - install OS X, restart the router, use different wifi networks and call support to iCloud. Everything has failed.

  However, back in my works of Mac with the other Apple Mac ID, simply do not work with ID of origin; It's a @me.com ID linked to an email to yahoo and do not upgrade to icloud by car and yet, my other identifiers as well Apple. I also tried to identify you with the related yahoo email, don't worry too much.

  Someone at - experienced this give some advice? I can't my mac remote distally now...

  It is possible that the CDs are defective, you can try to use another brand.

  I used to have 12 contacts in the upper part of the speed of call screen to compose. Now I'm down to only 8. I try to add an extra 4 it tells me that I have exceeded the maximum number allowed. I just moved to the classic, this device was working fine on my previous 3 Q10s.

  Any suggetsions?

  If you look in the 10.3.2 the user guide, it says:

  "You can add a total of eight contacts or numbers to the speed dial list on the screen of the calls.

  I also looked in the guide to the previous version (10.3.1) and it is said you can have 12 contacts. Thus, they seem to have reduced the number from 12 to 8 for some reason any.

• Any way to go back to the old mail conversation view?

  Just upgraded my phone to iOS 10, and new mail conversation view is not usable. This might work for personal emails, but for work when I have maybe 10 to 20 emails in a single conversation, it's unmanageable to have to scroll all the way. 1 on 20 may have an attachment you are looking for. I'm very likely going to have to use Microsoft Outlook instead.

  Apple, please take this feedback from someone who is a strong supporter since the original iPhone. The new view of mailconversation is a big step backwards in usability.

  Regarding the threading, if you type on see more in the lower left corner of the mail, it will show everything that the thread. If you look in the upper right corner of the screen, you will see Done. Tap on that and it will return to the last post. If you are simply looking at the Inbox, there will be an arrow to the right of the post office, blue, double-chevron. Press on and it will show all messages for this particular thread and the head of arrow will point down. Tap it again, and the wire will collapse.
