Isolation

Hi all

First post, a long time user of TIME - used however, super old version (CS2) for the past 8 years. I adapt to the new CC AI - really like so many new features. Well, not so new for ME to many user because they probably did the updates regularly... but NEW nonetheless. I found the "Mode of Isolation" to edit and really like it. However, I can't find it now. Can you get it someone please let me know where I can find it?

Thank you

  • Isolation between channels SMU 5451

    Hello

We try to use the exit CH0 + as a floating voltage source. Our instrument is the NOR-SMU-5451.

It seems that the SMA cable screen is difficult driven ashore by the analog output.

I can't find in the documentation it is possible to isolate the CHx outputs of Earth.

Does anyone know if this is possible or not?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I looked in your query about isolation and it is not something that is possible with the nature of the card being the only complete reference.

  • 4110 parallel PXI 2 outputs isolated

    Hello

I'll use 4110 PXI to provide HAD. If HAD current exceeds 1A, is there a risk to 2 isolated parallel output to provide more current? Y at - he notes that I have to take?

    Thank you

    Leo

    Hi Leo,

On the 4110 you can link channels 0 and 1, but unfortunately you can not link channels 1 and 2 because they share a floating ground and channel 2 is negative only.  Theoretically, you could bind the channels 0 and 2 together, which would be useful if you need then a more positive than this handset rail voltage.  Note that channel 0 is only 0 - 6V, so you will need to limit the voltage set to this output range.

  • The MID-7604 puts a lot of noise, where can I get cables isolated for it?

I use a motor driver stepper MID-7604. I want to reduce the ground loop noise in the system that I'm able on my PXI-5152 (through a series of sensors, etc.) using an optical isolator or transformer for cable VHDCI 68 pin that connects the engine to the computer. Such a thing exist, or are there other methods to mitigate the noise? I'd rather have the computer connected to the same circuit and the MID-7604 / I don't really want to buy a gigantic isolation transformer/surge protector to plug into the MID-7604.

    bravedonxiote,

PXI to the ground connection should be fine, so everything is referenced to the Earth.

And Yes, grounding of the table is a good idea as well.

  • channel-to-channel isolation for the NI9205/9206 differential configuration mode

    **********************************************************************************/

I don't know if I get this right.

COM actually refers to the common ground for MUX, PGIA and Front end ADC. COM to the Earth is 600VDC max. Any to use differential or CSR or NRSE configuration, HAVE to COM must be ±30 VDC. For example, COM is connected to 400VDC referenced to the Earth. Using a differential configuration, (AI0 +, AI0) - can mearsure between ±5 VDC (scale) in the range of 370VDC to 430VDC (decided by COM = 400VDC). It is also the same for the other pairs of differential input (AI1 +, AI1)-... (AI7 + AI7-).

If so, it also means that I can not using a NI9206 to measure the ±5 VDC(scale range) and 95VDC-105VDC(scale range).

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Concerning

    Bing

You are right, if COM is 400 VDC, then none of the entries may be outside 380VDC to 430 VDC.  Thus, ±5VDC of measure will damage the module.  To do something like that, you'll need a channel-to-channel isolated module.

  • Isolated ground and analog ground in Multisim

What is the availability of isolated or analog grounds in Multisim?  Multisim allows 2 main types of designs, standard ground (can also be called grounding, represented always net '0') and digital terrestrial, but sometimes in a design, you will need several references to the ground for the different areas of design, including a ground Earth or chassis point, digital and analog ground terrestrial and sometimes ground isolated.

How that this can be accommodated in a modeling Multisim and the point of view of layout?

  • The reference output analog of the PXI-67xx (AO GND) isolated or linked to the mass chassis/installation?

I am trying to simulate a radiation of 3 mV/V power pressure transducers (excitement is + 10V, full range should therefore be 0mV at 30mV).  I am looking for a PXI analog output device high number of channels (PXI-6723, possibly) who doesn't have the down side of the analog output channels linked to the land of installation (differential channels of AO).  The plan was to use a voltage across the divider circuit of +/-10V output card AO to +/-50mV.  I use a card AO 16-channel, 12-bit which has all the Commons AO related to the mass of the PXI chassis and Earth installation.  The DC of the signal part I want it, but there are about 80-100mVpp of noise (from the ground connection) riding on it.  I also tried a PXI-6115 card we had at hand and its reference AO are related hard chassis-same result with the noise of the Earth.  Is PXI - 6723 AO GND isolated from the land of the chassis/installation?  Even if all GNDs AO are shared on the Board, this solution should be much better than having a noisy ground reference.

Any ideas?  Alternatives to simulate a floating, the millivolt output device?

    Thank you!

The reference of the AO of the 6723 relates to Earth; pages exit track to track analog insulation research, only a handful of AO devices have an isolated field (the business is a low channel count).

  • Do I need with an isolated junction thermocouples?

I have an application where I need to measure the temperature of the surface at various locations (about 20 to 30 points).

I use a cDAQ with several modules of NI9211 chassis.

The surface to be measured is copper.  I fear that there may be some spurious signals generated between the channels if the thermocouples are not electrically isolated from the surface.

I have to use thermocouples with insulated junction?

    Hello egret2008,

You are absolutely correcct thinking you need insulation.  Without it, you will get bad readings, and interference between different thermocouples. To get your isolation, you will want to use a high-thermal connectivity equipment, electric bass.  Suppliers like Omega sell cements and fat with these properties.  I hope this helps and good luck in your application!

  • What isolation on the NI PXI-8433/4 map put in place

We anticipate using an NI PXI-8433/4 card installed in a PXI-1042 chassis to read the data of four RS-485 serial data links.  Each of the serial data links we read have their own common isolated which is not related to the municipality of any other channel.  In addition, the common and common receiver for each binding of data is linked together.  Bascially, we read each of the four serial data links are completely isolated from each other, but the transmitter and receiver ends for each binding of data have their common tied together.  A pictorial representation of our Setup is attached.

We found that this article on how opto-isolation is implemented on other serial acquisition cards:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/4A380A17DB3D9EF086256C68006F1DCB

This article basically says that the i/o lines are isolated, and the power of the transceiver is isolated by a transformer.  This is how the make isolation is implemented on the NI PXI-8433/4 map?  We do not want the transceivers in the PXI-8433 card to link the municipalities of serial data link.  Thus, we require each transmitter/receiver to have its own common isolated, and so it is own isolated power source.  Each of the transceivers are in the PXI-8433 map completely isolated from each other, including their common/reference?  Thank you very much for the help.

    Hello

That Board uses digital, through means of conversion continued isolation to isolate each part of the other and the rest of the PXI chassis. That said transceivers will be isolated from each other.

  • E4200V2 isolation wireless - how to disable?

I have an E4200 v2 with the firmware 2.1.41.162351 (later from this post).

I would turn OFF the connected isolation wireless so I can RDP to either of my laptops wireless connected since my Wired post.

I can't find the option of isolated on this new interface 'cute '.  I wish I had bought a V1 with the interface of the old school.  This at least had USEFUL options instead of trying to sell me social applications for a fsckin router...

    What I've done so far:

    1. reset to factory settings.

2 checked that I can RDP to the laptop when connected via WIRED.

    3. the firewall is completely disabled (domain, public, and private networks) on BOTH computers so I tried RDP.

    4. no other protocols not working (ping, telnet to open ports known,

I am not opposed to OpenWRT or other replacements of firmware if it is not possible to change this setting in the provided OEM 'BONES to suck. "

OK, tried to remove the dashboard of the SSID.

    Still no luck.

I'll router shopping.  I will then break it into tiny pieces since apparently (intentionally?) Cisco/Linksys used Marpuke (ahem...) marvell chips here that do not work with OpenWRT.

I'm done buying cisco consumer crapola.

Thanks for the reply.  I think I'll just go build my own WAP/router on a laptop of alternative and a taken non-marcrap chipset supported under linux.

  • WAP300N: Wireless clients are isolated from my local network?

WAP300N is an AP, but how can we separate wireless clients who come from the WAP300 on my local network? o option NAT or IP isolation?

This access point is not an isolation wireless feature. Even if that were the case it would only isolate wireless devices connected to each other not the LAN.

It's something that your router will have to manage. There are several ways to do this for an example of insulation VLAN or subnet isolation.

  • Question/problem of isolation of application

    Hi all

I have a few questions about the creation of a pit file. And the question is, is the right way to do it?

I installed a software on a server in my area, this server is Server RDS no.. the software on this server must be isolated (it cannot be packeged :-()

Now, I want to start this software on my RDS Server.

So I'm trying to create a gap, but after setting the connectivity settings, I get a timeout... used this self-inflating cushion: https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL84248

What is the best way to isolate a peace of software?

Sander, the .pit file is simply a text file that contains information for a vWorkspace connector to connect to a published application or a desktop. And the application you want to run must be installed on a server RDSH or a VDI instance. Based on the information contained in your message above, including application virtualization are not an option, there are two ways to isolate the application

1 silo on a single server RDSH or a RDSH server group and post it to your users.

    2. install on win7 in vWorkspace farm bureau group and publish it on your users on your RDSH servers (this is commonly called a scenario double jump)

    Hope that helps,

What is CNG KEY ISOLATION hosted by LSA process?

I get a brief explanation that leaves more?... in services in windows 7

I need dummie talk to understand technology that is mentioned in the description of the service tag. The acronims does that mean? the sevice - what 'exactly' in terms laymans?

THX in advance for any clarification.

    Sincerely, designation-Prototype.

    Hello

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, it seems you want to know about the ISOLATION of KEY NMC.

I'll be happy to help you with this.

The CNG key isolation service is hosted in the LSA process. The service provides insulation for private keys key processes and operations of such associated encryption required by the common criteria. The service stores and uses long term keys in a secure process in line with the requirements of the common criteria.

    Default behavior

The CNG key Isolation service is running as LocalSystem in a common process. She shares an executable file with other services. If CNG key Isolation is unable to load or initialize, the error is logged in the event log. Start Windows 7 should go forward, but a message box appears informing you that the Iso key service failed to start.

    Dependencies

CNG key isolation won't start, if the remote procedure (RPC) call service is stopped or disabled.

If the CNG key Isolation is stopped, the Extensible Authentication Protocol fails to start and initialize.

If you have any questions on Windows, feel free to let us know. It is our pleasure to be of service.
