Issue warning of large Volume

As you have perhaps lived, climb too high the volume of your iPod translates into a bet warned that the volume is too high.

It's particularly embarrassing because it drains my battery while listening to music, and I understand if you live in the United States, you do not have this warning of volume.

Now, I know what you think. You cannot disable this option because it is a law of the EU. But I live in the United Kingdom, who has just chosen to leave the European Union...

Does this mean that warnings of volume disappears at some point in the future, now that we can put our own laws etc. ?

I doubt it since "features" like the one linked to an identifier if the iPod firmware.

Since you have a 5G and only 6 G gets iOS 10 then the changes are slim to one that Apple will release an update to iOS, even if they could to differentiate an iPod initially marketed in UK vice to the other EU countries.

  • Large Volume of data merge issues with Indesign CS5

I recently started to use Indesign CS5 to design a piece of mail marketing which requires the fusion of data from Microsoft Excel.  With small spots up to 100 pieces, I don't have any problems.  However, I need to merge 2 000-5 000 items of data through Indesign on a daily basis and my lap top current was not able to manage the merger of more than 250 pieces at a time, and the merge process 250 takes 30-45 minutes if I have the chance and the software not crushed.

To resolve this problem, I bought a desktop computer with a second generation processor Core i7 and 8 GB of memerory, thinking that would solve my problem.  I tried to merge the track 1,000 of data with this new computer, and I was forced to restart Adobe Indesign after 45 minutes of no results.  I then merged 500 pieces and the task was completed, but the process took less than 30 minutes.

I need help with this problem because I can't find another software which can design my mail merge the way that Indesign can, however, the time it takes to merge large volumes of data is very frustrating because the software crash from time to time the after waiting a good 30-45 minutes to complete.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

It's in the menu data merge, 'Export to PDF '.

  • Large volume of archives

    Hi all

I am facing in a high volume of archives problem these days on my production database. Database version is 9.0.2.4.0 and it is the system operarting of windows 2003 server (enterprise edition service pack 1). I want to solve this problem. I won't put my DB in noarchivelog mode, as is the production system. I did not go to any major changes in my DB. What could be the cause of this high volume of check-in? What should I do to reduce archiving. The size of the files of archive is almost 12 GB a day. After 2 days I move archives of production to another machine.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Best regards
    Asma Akhter.

It is very unlikely that archive generation is related to the undo tablespace. Your statspack said indicated audit large volumes.

I suggest that disable you the check, take more statspack snapshots, check if archive generation drops, and run another statspack report to confirm.

  • No warning when the volume level

    Hello

I just bought my Xperia Z2 a week ago and I am completely satisfied with the phone. Just one thing that bothers me is that, until now, it will display the warning when rasining top music volume level using earphones, but today it suddenly stopped showing this warning. I'm still using the headphones supplied with the phone, and I have not changed any setting for her nor disabled somehow.

Something might be wrong with my headphones? Like them being does not correctly detected or something. I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but since the warning stopped the sound quality seems to have gone down.

In the end, I did the factory reset and that seems to have solved the problem.

Suddenly, I'm unable to print documents on all HP printers when they used to work perfectly. To print a test page for my work printers, printers print a page saying: "GE publ. WARNING: ' 75 When I try to print a document from the printed page says: "PCL XL error, subsystem: kernel, error IllegalTag operator: Oxba, post: 75. The error varies from printer to printer, but all say error PCL XL.

I tried uninstalling all printers and drivers, the removal of all traces of the drivers in the registry and in the file spool\drivers\x64\3 and then by reinstalling the latest driver on the HP site. I also tried to change the printing preferences. I also tried the universal PCL6, PCL5 and PS drivers. Although it has never been a connection problem or to initiate a print job, I always get the same accurate print of the above errors.

    Please help me. Thank you

After finding a few other posts of similar problems, the solution is simply to disable to moy. Their new updates randomly intereferes with printing.

  • Laptop speakers seem to be stifled on larger volumes, but not on small volumes

OK so bare with me here, I'm not a grumpy so please don't give me any input I will not understand. Laughing out loud. So recently, I noticed that during certain programs or the music I play, the volume on the laptop is muffled if the volume is greater than 60%. If I turn down, I don't seem to hear it, but I can't be 100% sure. I tried to adjust some settings under the part of the properties of the volume settings I found online, but I don't seem to have some of the tabs people have suggested using. My headphones work fine, works volume very well if it's low, but I can't use volume greater than 60% without him appearing dull and difficult to understand. If there is no importance, I have also updated Windows 10 a few months ago. My computer came with Windows 7 originally. It's a SONY VAIO E Series. I was wondering if it is just a blown speaker or something more specific like an update or a setting that I missed? In addition, no one knows how much it would cost to replace the pregnant if I take it to Best Buy? Not sure if I still have a warranty or not.

Thanks for any help in advance!

  • Storage of large Volumes... Whats my options.

    Hello

OK, so my installation is an HP C7000 Enclosure of blade with 8 BL460 connected via two SAS controllers 3 HP msa2000sas storage matrices each with 12 1 TB disks mounted.

We have been invited to create a couple of volumes 8TB for use as a file on a file server shares (Windows server 2008 under vmware esx 4). The problem comes because I have a backup server on the network aswell (Windows server 2008 not under vmware) which has a direct connection to a SAS storage arrays, and the intention is that this server will also have access to significant volumes so it can generate data on live band of the storage array, instead of drag anywhere in the network of the file server.

For now, I created a TB 8 VDisk and he filled one Volume 8 of TB and presented as a single LUN.

If the file server has not been installed under VMWare I guess the 8TB LUN would have appeared to Windows Server 2008 without problems I could format as a single NTFS partition I'm going and it seems to me also the backup server as a 8 TB NTFS volume.

My file server sits under VMWare ESX 4 as expected, he sees not the LUN 8TB.

    so. Whats my options.

Create volumes of 8x1TB set in the vdisk 8TB and present them as 8xRDMs for Windows. If I use Windows to together in a dynamic volume 8TB stripe, running outside vmware backup server won't have much sense of these is it? (or is it?)

Outside to my server to backup under VMWare and then using extensions to create disc vmware vmfs 8TB off 8x1TB LUN that would be visible to two independent vmware on separate ESX hosts machines, I don't see what I can do.

Are there ways to get around this limit of 2 TB. It seems crazy that we are limited to 2 TB these days. His will not be too long before you have individual drives that are already too big for vmware.

You have a hard line to hoe here.  I think I can come 2 solutions for you, but I don't know that or the other will work.  First of all, there is no way around the 2 TB limit currently imposed in VMware, as has been said.  So, how do we pretend?

    (1) I would recommend covering rather than the distribution on the disk that you create in Windows.  This is expected to allow it to be presented to another system, but I have not tested it myself.  I think that you need to make a 'dynamic' record to do, using GPT instead of MBR.

    (2) NTFS is NOT a cluster file system.  You cannot present a volume of 2 systems of access R/W at the same time without making these systems in a cluster.  The best idea here is to use a base on the MSA SAN snapshot (I think they just licensed to support).  Otherwise, you're stuck with the backup in network for RDM.

(2A) If you use VMDK VMFS to your drives, then you can always make backups based on the snapshot direct drive with VCB or an another VMFS - / VMDK oriented tool.  In this case, you won't have the overhead of storing the snapshot by itself, but should always be considered Colocation the VMDK snapshot on your system VMFS file.  In this case, I would start by 5 2 TB LUN with VMDK 1.6 to each.  I think that this would provide a sufficient margin for discs of snapshots, but you must take into account your environment on this setting.

  • NB305 - questions, moving a large volume of files...

    Hello

I recently bought the NB305 and atemted to move approximately 1800 files... ((1) from an external hard drive C and drive 2) c for walkman... time has ended in disaster and seems to copy only about 100 random files and then abandoned...

    any thoughts?

    Hi Lord_Numpty,

Have you tried another HARD drive on your NB305?
You should also test another cable, I guess that your HARD drive has a USB port so please try another USB cable.

How do you connect your Walkman? You can try another cable too?

  • EqualLogic SAN volume issue

As I am virtualizing our infrastructure, a thought occurred to me.  First, the Installer - 3 hosts vSphere 4 connected to a SAN EqualLogic PS6000XV network.  We use iSCSI on the network for connectivity maps.  I was put in service a volume by comments on the side EqualLogic.  We did not do anything with the snapshots or replication - that will come later.  Our immediate goal is just to virtualize our servers and continue our backup and restore as usual procedures.  This is likely to change so we can use snapshot technologies, but also the stuff of VMware.  Anyway, to my question.  Should I continue this way?  One volume per person.  Or should I do a large volume and then put my VMs on the single volume?  On the SAN, the whole thing is configured in RAID-50.  I made only a handful of non-critical servers to date.  I'm not sure what are the best practices in this scenario.  What worries me is that if I continue this way, I could lose some instant advantage later or something like that.

While the expansion of VMFS volumes is less a problem in vSphere that it was in the past, the point is that having a unit logic by VM number increases management and effort if you need to grow the hard disk to the virtual machine.  If you need to add 20 GB for drive E: one of your virtual machines, it's easy to do when using large volumes because you probably the free space to simply increase the size of the virtual disk.  If you use the method "a unit logic by VM number", you may initially increase the size of the LUN on the EqualLogic, then extend the VMFS volume in vSphere, and finally to increase the size of the virtual disk across comments.

Another part of the equation is the backup of the virtual machine.  Many tools available for VMware backup can make backup 'LAN-free' by connecting directly to the storage.  To do this, you must present the VMFS volumes on a Windows backup server and the software then reads directly from there, rather than transfer on each ESX host network.  If you use a product that saved using this method, you must present all of your VMFS volumes to this server from Windows instead of just one or two larger LUN.

I have seen many different deployments of VI3/vSphere and saw the two one LUN per VM model, as well as the virtual machine of 15-20 by the largest LUN model.  In almost all cases, those who did a unit number logic by VM regretted and find it difficult to manage without any real advantage.

  • Cannot create a volume larger then Go 212

    Hello

I created a volume of 12 to on equallogic storage and I'm trying to connect it with a bit of esxi servers.

Once the storage adapter detects the volume it see all 12 s to.

But when I try to create a store of data from this volume in vSphere I'm limited to 212GB and I can't create a larger volume.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thank you

    Haris

Hello and welcome to the forums.

The maximum volume size is 2 TB - 512 bytes. It is documented in KB 3371739 - you will need to carve up this storage in an appropriate manner.

    Good luck!

  • Batch processing issues

I'm scanning a large volume of slides. I'd like to be able to batch process them for the basic settings. I found more frequently than scans of opening, adding a curves layer and hit the auto button does a good job at the beginning of the restoration of the color. I could add an action and that with the exception of a question of batch processing.

ISSUE - when I check "Override Action" save under "orders", the File Naming section is grayed out. So I did not have the ability to specify the naming of files when I run a lot.

QUESTION - It seems that when I check "remove color profile warnings" the batch will continue using the color space of the image to be processed, not the working color space. It's fine for what I do now. However if I wanted to use the working color space, I simply include a step in the action to convert the color profile of the job profile?

    Dale

ISSUE - when I check "Override Action" save under "orders", the File Naming section is grayed out. So I did not have the ability to specify the naming of files when I run a lot.

The Destination drop-down list control if these fields are assets or grayed out, if you change from Save & Close file you will be able to change these fields. Note, however, that if you use the folder option, then you will need a step save slot in your action otherwise they will not be saved.

If you want to automatically convert the images you open the color profile of work then go to Edition-> color settings and change the second dropdown RGB to convert RGB working.

  • Great attachment WARNING TB 38

Is it possible to disable the warning of large attachment in TB 38?

Since I upgraded I now get a "warning!" You are about to send a message of size xx MB. Are you sure you want to do this? "whenever I have send a large message.

I tried to change 'mail.compose.big_attachments.notify' to 'false', but I always get the message after restarting TB.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I send a lot of large messages, so I queue them in Outbox send, then 'Send all' if I can do something else, while they send. Now, I sit at my desk, then click 'OK' to each message.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Thanks for your quick response, I appreciate it! The mail server has a 20 MB limit on attachments. The TB warning is triggered when the total size of attachments is ~ 15 mb or more.

When I click 'OK' the message is sent successfully.

When you mentioned mail servers, it gave me an idea and I checked the TB mail server settings in "Config Editor" and found this:

    Mailnews.message_warning_size

The default value is 20971520 bytes (20 MB). Because of encoding a 15 MB attachment turns into an email from 20 MB - and triggers the warning.

So I upped the value to 28311552 bytes (27 MB), which is roughly the size of an encoded attachment 20 MB. And the warning disappeared!

    So it's fixed! Woohoo!

Thanks again for your help, it inspired me to find the solution!

  • Performance problems with large Photo library size

Did anyone seen performance issues when the library becomes too great? I used to keep a few different libraries, since some of my libraries are already 1 TB. So, if I merge into one, the file will be 2-3 Tb when it's said and done. Anyone know if it is recommended to size limits or is it more important with El Capitan. Obviously, the response time will be affected by the hard drive and the speed of the laptop, but before you begin merging into one file libraries, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations or other related advice. Thank you!

It is not documented, but how many pictures a library can contain pictures, you can migrate photos iPhoto libraries and libraries Aperture, so you should be able to store at least 1 000 000 photos in a photo library.

I haven't noticed any performance issue with a large library of Photos.  My largest library has 40000 photos.

During the regular work with the size of the library is not serious at all, as long as you want to keep enough free storage on your system drive. Don't let the photo library fill in your system drive. Keep at least 10 GB free at all times, better more.

However, there are rare occasions when the size will be discussed:

    • When you need repair library, it will take more time, if the library is large.
    • When you first migrate your libraries of photos, the initial treatment will take longer - scanning for faces and places, creating thumbnails.
    • If you use iCloud library synchronization can take a long time for a large library.
    • Too many smart albums can make pictures a little slower, if the library is large.  I noticed a drop in performance, after that I created 200 smart albums with a search for text across the entire library.
