  I just applied the update to the latest firmware 4.1.208.33789 for my IX2 - DL and it took an extremely long time to reboot - flashing white light for 20 min on the right.

  We are seriosly thought about the posibility to define ESXI - Hypervisor - with Iomega ix2-200 NAS. We were check the official documentation for Iomega. I checked that ix2-200 is supported for ESXI 4.0, but we are not sure if pressed for ESX 5.0.
  Someone knows this product is compatible with VMware? I have not found any associated IX2-200 and Esxi 5.0

  If it is not on the HCL, this is not supported.

  However, it works very well (I run it every day).  This is not supported because most suppliers are not going in the effort to verify support for N - 2 equipment.

  If the support is important to you, why not pick up a px4/px6 supported?

  This looks like pretty much just for an ix2, sensors and firmware will throw an error if the operating temperatures get out of reach.

  RAID 1 is the default value of factoriy for a completely filled ix2 (2drives)

  Check your settings in https:///manage/drives.html?cat=all #.

  Note: you may lose all your data if you decide to change the RAID type, so before saving.

  RAID 1 is 'mirror', so you will get only half the capacity rather than RAID0 or JBOD.

  Not sure wheter ix2 is able to work with > 2 TB is spread over its USB ports, but normally you would create a copy job that contains "all directories".

  If your ix2 doesn't detect your USB, try to repartition your drive USB-2 to + 1 TB

• IX2 - dl won't start

  A recently released a single 1gig WD drive my ix2 - dl and replaced with a new red WD drive to 2 giga. Original disc worked fine. New drive will not work. I find myself with a blue and red light flashing again and again. I've cleaned the disc several times; I have reset the ix2 - dl via the reset button of hole of PIN many times; I tried two other disks with the same result. The original drive was ok, but as I don't have all the data recorded in it, I did a CLEAN on her, and now he too will not work in the unit.

  The unit has the latest firmware. I can't access it via the web interface. He said only: the device restarts and stays like that. Trying to get the device to work, whenever it breaks down, I get an email notification of an error disc and potential loss of data. • Cannot connect to the ix2 Lenovo after the 4.1.202.33573 firmware update

  Hello, I've updated firmware for 4.1.202.33573 (the previous was 4.1.106.31982) and after that, I can not connect my Lenovo ix2 using different web browsers. After you type the user name and password and clicking "login" nothing happens for 1 + hour but appears only "processing...". "message on background greyed. After more than an hour of "processing...". "it appears the error message:" impossible (get/read) asked for information "(excuse me risk of errors in the translation of Polish messages in English). • A HARD drive has failed in a RAID1

  I have an IX2 - dl and 2 X 3 to disks configured as RAID1. I received notice that one of the drives has failed. Instead of replace the failed drive, I want to 2 X 4 to also be configured as RAID1. I know how to install the disks and all that. I was wondering if I could still read that the content of the working group still 3 TB drive in a PC?

  It is not really possible for the average user to mount these disks on a PC and read because there is a firmware on the disk partition and file system is based on Linux.

  This is a pretty important issue for anyone who uses the workstation in a DoD level... in the coming months, all these conclusions must be reorganized or have a POA & M (Plan of Action and milestones) to fix.  The best solution would be to replace with a certificate signed by a CA DoD.  Probably second-best would be to delete if there is no basic functionality that is on it.  But just ignorant, it isn't going to be acceptable.

• SRM does not wait for the guests of the DPM enabled

  We are testing our environment vsphere 5/SRM and essentially 5, everything goes very well except for wake up initiated by the SRM to the DPM active guests.

  The SRM 5.0 doco States:

  SRM temporarily disables DPM for the cluster, and ensures that all guests there are lit before recovery begins. After the recovery or the test is completed, SRM reactive DPM for the cluster, but it hosts are found in the current state of execution while DPM is able to feed them downwards as needed.

  The question that we see is that SRM send indeed wake up for guests in mode standby and milestone of recovery as a success. The problem is that SRM does not wait until the guests are completely turned on before before feeding on the VMs. The day before hosts to wake the system correctly storage access newly presented no problem. The problem is that the bubbles to test network is not created on the hosts of the day before and no VMs are assigned to these hosts during the entire test.

  That said, I checked the advanced settings and I cannot find a setting that will force SRM to wait for the standby hosts to be fully integrated in the cluster before you perform additional steps.

  Everyone knows this behavior? Am I missing a setting somwhere? My fear is that this behavior will happen during a real failover and potentially cause problems.

  The stuff was demo code just probably hacked together for a showcase of JavaOne.
  Now that the code would be almost certainly archaic, undocumented and not maintained.

• Repeating a section within a form

  Good day all.

  I wonder is there a way I would be able to repeat an entire section in the same way, I can repeat a line in a table. Let me explain what I'm trying to do.

  I design a form for managers to report of projects, initiatives, etc. Because I'll never know how many different projects / initiatives a given Manager will, I wanted to design the form so the Manager could add an additional section for each of their projects / initiatives.

  For example; each section would have fields something like the following that I would be able to repeat.

  The project name, project background status spent and milestones, current state, and milestones.

  I think I figured out that the section must be in a single "subform", please correct me if I'm wrong.

  I understand the layout, it is now trying to get the full section repeat.

  It is the same method that you use for a table row.

  If you set it to be repeatable subform (see under palette object > link tab).

  You can use the ot adds addInstance method a new instance of the subform.

• Spacing of objects proportionally

  I know the basics for copy and Extensible objects (using the transformation of each) but I'm wondering how to change the spacing between the objects.

  For example, say I have a row of dots, with the transformation that each I can enlarge then a percentage whenever they are copied. So if I do the largest 20% every time, how can I change the spacing between them to more than 20%? So I can go in a row small points far apart (less than an inch in height) to a row of points all consolidated (less than an inch in height) with each step being proportional to 10% or 25% or another?

  The type of distribution you are trying to reach can be considered the "side view" of objects all too distribtuted around a quadrant of a circle. The 'view from above' would be a quarter circle.
