JO 8600 scans is more to PC

OJ Pro 8600 more N116g - (E-net) connection to the wired router. Using WinXP pro all service packs uptodate. Gateway PC with plenty of RAM and a moderately fast chip.

I used this all-in-one for more than a year, only in the last 4-6 months is no longer will scan using the HP scanning app installation. Also will not touch screen for PC scan. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. When I try to install the full functionality of the HP Web site update, it fails at the end with this error # in the message detail: 2081883401. It does not "enable analysis" of the PC.

Independent but also boring - I can no longer use ABBY scan with this all-in-one app.

Please someone advise on what to do to turn scan to PC.

BTW, I also checked this forum and tried to go to these URLs (below) - received a 404 for both message:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02114802

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-102210-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en... =

When I try to download the update of the firmware of the HP website as dated 21/03/2013 the Web page that opens is unreadable and I see nothing there to click, read, etc.

Almost forgot - also downloaded doctor Scan and he ran twice - could not fix this problem.

I assumed you already tried updating the INVESTIGATION period.  I suggested the simple uninstall/disc cleaning/reinstall in order to confirm that the procedure is more difficult is not necessary when it resolves the problem, or after an hour by train (if it doesn't), you will know to follow the first document that I have proposed.  Another thing that could cause a printer to lose its scanner connectivity can be that the router needs a firmware update.  Quite often, telephone, customer support would get very angry after hours of work on a scanner, then I suggest you it communicate with their service provider internet/router on the opening of ports to scan and do a firmware update.  After a regular reminder, 99% of the time fixed it and they were happy again.  However, we will cross that bridge when we are there.  Carefully read all the lines in this document, if it gets to this point and if you have any questions I am here to help!

    Hey there @texasjane!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I should be able to provide assistance with the issue between you and your Officejet 8600 scan Mac OS X 10.10. You mentioned that you have already installed the full features of HP Officejet 8600 software but still have no success.  Your also get some printing problems.  The Mac indicates that the printer is offline when you try to print?

Its possible that an update is available for the Mac on the HP software.  I recommend checking the Mac to make sure it's his print more up-to-date and scan drivers.  To check the updates simply click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen.  Once your in the Apple menu, select App Store.  Within the App Store, you can click updates at the top of the window.  Check and install the HP updates that may be available.

I suggest try to analyze using one of the construction in Mac as Capture of Image applications.  If there are problems with the HP on Mac 10.10 software then you may be able to bypass them with Image capture.  Image capture may be located in your Applications folder on a Mac.  You can also find it by linking the Image Capture in the Mac spotlight.  Spotlight is the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen.

If please, after back and let me know how it goes!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans appear in white

    Hello

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 scan correctly, either from the document feeder or the dish. The scans appear almost totally blank, although some weak contours are barely visible along the top. Two computers use the scanner (Mac OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.5) and both have the same problem. Any suggestion would be great!

    Hi ABverr,

A hard reset can solve this problem.  To do this, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer when the printer is still on.  Unplug the other end of the power cord.  After 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet, and then plug it into the back of the printer.  Try a scan.

If this does not help, I linked a document with measures to correct the problems of quality of scanning.  Click here

If the problems persist, you can download and run printing HP and doctor Scan.  Click here  Let me know the results.

    Good luck!

Hello @kathy817, hope you are well!

Thank you access the Forums from HP Support for extra support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.

I see that you are having problems when parsing printer Officejet 8600. Could you please try and make a copy of the photo on the printer? Let me know if the copy option works very well.

If the copy also gives you a black page, try the following steps:

    • Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
    • Wait 2-3 minutes and then plug back the power cable directly to the wall outlet (do not use a surge protector or an extension cord)

If the copy is fine, please let me know. In addition, tell me how the printer is connected. Is it connected using USB or wireless?

I'll watch for your reply. Good luck!

  • OfficeJet 8600 scan to file on mac

I have a MAC running Lion (10.7) I just bought a printer Officejet 8600 and I want to use the "SCAN to file" (directly from the Menu of printers).

HP says that this does not work on a MAC... Is this correct? someone at - it work?

    Hello

The computer function scanning work with Mac OS.

Make sure to install the latest software of full functionality for your HP and not the original CD operating system that is not compatible with Lion.

Be sure to select the Software from HP recommended during installation.

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL40131/MP-97865-2/OfficeJet-Pro-8600-series_v12.14.0.dmg

Once finished the day, be sure to install any update available HP by clicking the Apple icon, then the about this Mac.

If you reffer scanning to a function of a record network, the\ do not currently have supported by Lion because of the issue of the BONE.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Scan crash

I have problems with scanning with Officejet Pro 8600. The scanner works most of the time without any problem, but the same analysis (same settings, same computer to analyze, I haven't changed anything else the photo I'm scanning) sometimes breaks down. It can be planted two ways

    (1) ' preparing to digitize"never ends

    and

    (2) ' analysis now' never ends

Preparing to scan is the kind of problem most friendly, that after several minutes, says "unable to connect to the computer" (absolutely nothing anywhere, the last scan seconds earlier ended the most perfectly), simply disable the Officejet Pro 8600 for awhile. The "scan now" is a bigger problem, since not even on the power button / reacts to anything and I tried to wait at least half an hour for the analysis at the end. I don't hear it mechanically would do anything (you know, when the scanner scans, there should be some 'noise'). The only thing I can do these days is to unplug the power cord, and one could imagine that shouldn't be so.

    So my questions are:

    (1) what should I try?

    (2) is a good problem and so, then are we talking about problems with hardware or software?

The Officejet Pro 8600 is no longer new, I bought it in July 2013, but I remember he made at least since August. As he said, the fact that occasionally, but I'd say it's at least 5% of the time I try to scan.

    Ed. More information:

Operating system: Windows 7 Pro SP1

    Connected wireless

ScanDoctor try to analyse, and it gives an error "scanner is currently in use. Please wait until your previous task is completed and the scaning try again. »

There is another scan option I use very often, which is to use a memory card, use the scan to memory card option. the printer has not yet need to be connected.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans to the computer windows 7

I am using Windows 7 on my desktop at home for the first time (since a few weeks ago). I got this HP Officejet Pro 8600 for at least a year now, and it was easy scan documents using my Windows XP.

This morning, I scanned a document on the Windows 7 system, but tonight the icon ("HP Officejet Pro 8600") does not show the scan option. I am stunned. I need to scan more than a few documents and cannot find out how to access this feature. Help, please!

Hi delphine and welcome to the forums of HP!

I see you have a 8600 Officejet which seems to no longer provide the analysis option. I will certainly do my best so that he could share with you scanning capabilities

It's really weird that you get is no longer the option scan so I suggest that you run the HP print and Scan Doctor and see if it finds problems first. If she says that everything out very well we should be able to get an icon on your desktop HP Scan so that you can just open it directly.

To do this, click the start menu, click programs principally made, click the HP folder, click on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 folder and then right click on the HP Scan, select send to and Desktop. Then, you will see an icon on your desktop that says HP Scan and you don't have to go through the HP printer Assistant longer.

I would like to know how it goes for you!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Scan - disable the 'Save' button with MAC OS 'SIERRA '.

    Hello world

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 installed in a Macbook pro.

After having upgraded to Mac OS Sierra (10.12) 'Save' button in the HP scanning software is now disabled when the save screen appears. Save documents are possible using the 'Test' option in the menu "Preferences".

It worked fine with the latest version of 'El Captain'.

I've searched for scanning HP new version for Mac OS Sierra, but nothing.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    TKS in advance.

    Hello
The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.

Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/installations/Essentials/HP-easy-scan-1_7_0.pkg

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: scanning

I'm scanning a package which some pages are double-sided and some pages are simple face.  So I am scanning double-sided.  Is there a way to set the scan to PDF and eliminate blank pages?

    Hello

This can be done with the original HP scanning software provided with your printer.

Download and install the HP Scan extended below application:

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Go to start > all Apps > Hp > HP Scan extended.

    Select Save as PDF.

Click more > shortcut in the upper pane right

Define the sides of the Page as 2 sides.

In the Document tab select and check remove blank pages, then click on the Scan button to complete your analysis.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet 8600 scanning/copying problem

I have a 8600 all-in-one who recently stopped being able to scan or copy.  When you run a scan/copy, the page just comes out with vertical lines and black space.  I added a screenshot of the results of the analysis, but a copy gives the same.  Please help if you have seen this before.  I perform firmware updates and gone through the process of resetting due to disconnect.

Rob, sounds like you are having a problem with your analysis. To open, what happens when you make a copy? That will let me know if this problem is hardware related or associated software. Then I know who will be the best way to proceed.

Hello there is Marc aka @mk75053 ,

I'm sorry to learn that when you scan from your ADF file, you see a line on your document. This is usually fixed by clean under the scanner, however there could be other causes. I have the best guide for this type of situation that will show you where clean and give the appropriate instructions. I hope that this rid your question!
