  I found a way to make it work.

  The NI 9148 must be connected through the corporate LAN.
  It it automatically configures via DHCP instead of link-local (169.254.x.x).
  MAX is able to configure as expected.

• Problem of discovery of the cDAQ-9191 in MAX

  I have a new cDAQ-9191 with 9208 module that I have connected to my PC with an Ethernet cable.  I use DAQmx 15.1.1 in Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit and MAX 15.0.0f0.  The cDAQ-9191 appears under devices and Interfaces > network devices.  There is no IP address and its status is "disconnected".  There is no found network card.  There is no Firmware button, and add device only returns an error message.  See the two photos attached for details of 9191 properties.  I have tried to reset MAX configuration, restart the 9191, exchanging several cables, restart the PC, turn off all the other networks of PC, turning the firewall, but without success.  I searched the forum, but no one else has reported a solution to a similar problem.  The port LAN PC has a static address, and I've used the port to connect to other devices.  As this is obviously not a normal state for this 9191 I'm totally stuck with no idea how to proceed.  Is it a hardware failure?

  In addition, on my main PC (MAX 15.0.0f0, DAQmx 15.1.1, 15.0 IMAQdx, win 10 Pro 64-bit), MAX cannot find network devices.  I tried with an Axis Network camera and the 9191, which both appear on the other PC.  I can't find a solution to either but it's a real pain that MAX is not working properly when necessary.

  Hi Dr_M,

  If your LAN port has a static IP address, it must run a DHCP server, which can affect the 9191 an address on the same subnet.  If no DHCP server is found, the 9191 a local IP address of the default link.  Very likely, you met the latter, and the static IP address that you have assigned to your LAN port does not link local beach.  This means that your computer and your cDAQ are on different subnets, so MAX can communicate with the 9191.

  You can change the IP address of your LAN port to one in the local area connection (169.254.x.x, subnet mask 255.255.0.0), or you can configure your LAN port to automatically obtain an IP address.

  Once you access the 9191 in MAX, you can adjust the parameters IP back at your convenience, as long as the chassis and the computer you end up on the same subnet.

• Gateway IP for WET610N

  I'm trying to connect a WET610N directly to a single computer Win XP Pro via an ethernet cable. I do NOT have a router. I then allow the WET610N connect a Hot - Spot WiFi 3 G cellular. The WET610N default IP 169.254.1.250. So, I put the IP of 169.254.250.1 computers network card. Both have a MASK of 255.255.0.0.

  Now, the question is: I put the Default Gateway IP to the computer and the NET610N?

  There is no router!

  I can't find an answer in the User Guide.

  I ping the WET610N to the computer.

• Clientless SSL VPN access to HP iLO

  Access without client configured for SSL VPN and it works fine for everything except the connectivity to a HP iLO.  When I go to the http address, I see the redirect page, but as soon as it accesses the https page, I get the following text:

  Not exactly how the HP ilo application works, but if it calls java this will cause your question because you are only allowing http or https through the client less portal. Try and activate smart tunnel and allow the java.exe on your local computer to use the smart tunnel. This will force your local java client to be sent through tunnel via ssl (443)

• Three problems

  I have InDesign CS3 (v. 5.0.4) installed on a Dell Latitude E6520 with processor i5, 8 GB of RAM, Win 7 Pro 64 bit SP1.

  All of a sudden, I had 3 problems:

  1. I created a paragraph called style Article title: Palatino Linotype 18 pt, bold, evertything else standard.  The 1st time I applied it, no problem.  Later, when I try to apply it, I get is a color change, but the size in points and "BOLD" are not applied.  When I check the definition of the style, it's okay.  I tried trashing preferences and starting over - but same problem.  I do something wrong, but I can't understand what it is.

  2. the problem of color also confused me.  I added 'Blue' (RGB, RED Green 0, 0, 255 blue) to the color chart, and now any time I enter the text (copy/paste, place or type), the text is in blue.  I have to select the text and change the color.  It's as if this is a default value.  I can't understand how to fix this.

  3. I have 2 layers: text and graphics.  In the past, I could add a graphic layer above the text layer, send the text to the back layer and switch between the 2 without difficulty.  Now, when I try this (click on the text object), the menu 'Organize' shows that 'put in the foreground' or 'forward '.  In order to select the Graphics object, I have to click the text object, and then use the Select/Next object below.  When the graphical object is selected, the menu arrange is gray.  I can't figure out how to fix either.

  I have been using this version of InDesign for several years without problem.  I don't understand why I suddenley these problems.

  I even tried to build a new document from scratch (after trashing preferences) without success.

  Can anyone help?

  Thank you for your help.  I should have remembered what to do - I have a "short circuit" on my brain, just could not find the answer in the help file.  The keyboard shortcut, you described did not work, but I finally understood the correct keystrokes to solve the problem.

  And speaking of help file, your answer on diapers was the clue I needed.  I went back to the help file on the creation of layers and realized that I need to create the graphic layer above the text layer to duplicate past behavior.  I do not remember it.

• iTunes/iPod downloads only 255 pieces?

  I have reset my iPod to factory settings and I tried to sync my library but it only downloads/transfers some of the media?

  I tried to re-creation of the iPod a 2nd time and still the same problem.

  I quit iTunes and re-connected but still no luck.

  I closed iTunes and rebooted my computer, but still the same problem.

  Any ideas?

  It is possible for the purchased songs (and other assets) to appear in your iTunes library, without their media files accessed local storage on your computer.  For purchased items, they are accessible and disseminated from iCloud (iTunes servers from Apple Store), if they are not accessible from locally stored files.  However, to synchronize your iPod, media files must be stored locally.

  NOTE: If you have an iCloud library because you subscribe to Match iTunes Apple music (or both), the same situation can occur for ALL the songs you, not only purchased songs; iCloud library ALL of your eligible songs makes available to iCloud.

  Therefore, one possible cause is that most of your songs is being accessed from iCloud, because you did something (or is a problem) that caused the iTunes to lose track of where its multimedia files.  For example, if you move the folder containing your media files to iTunes manually (outside of iTunes), iTunes knows not that they have been displaced, and iTunes loses track of their locations.  However, if a song is available on iCloud, iTunes starts to access the song to iCloud without any error message.  In your case, the "255 pieces" is those that you added after that this problem occurred (so iTunes fact know where they are on the spot), and they can sync them to your iPod.  The other songs are not accessed locally, so can not sync to your iPod.

  To check, show your iTunes music library using the view of songs (like a simple with columns list).  If the column download iCloud is not visible, make it visible (right click on the title line of the song to show/hide list columns).  This column is narrow with a cloud symbol in its title.  If a song is accessed from iCloud, there a cloud with the down arrow symbol in the column download iCloud .  You see this symbol of the cloud for most of your songs?

• HP 255 G1 PC Notebook: Restoration of the USB

  My laptop HP 255 G1 was not functional in the 2 weeks or so now. At first I thought it was a virus, so I got down to a computer repair shop in the hope they would rub my system and get rid of the virus. I know now that it is not a virus but a mistake with windows 10. My laptop is a windows computer 8 originally, but I then upgraded to windows 10. I have no access to the computer at all. I turn it on, the hp loading screen comes up and then a blue screen stating the "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME" code, I've now learned is a problem to do with flashes of 10 on the screen windows before restarting continuously. I saw a youtube tutorial saying a message saying 'Prepare auto repair' should appear and then a second message saying 'Diagnose your PC' should appear followed by a screen that allows you to click on advanced options. Only the first message appears to me, and then it is followed by a black screen with no end.

  What I really want to know is if I can somehow create a recovery usb without having access to my computer. I am currently on my other computer laptop windows 7 but I can't download anything from here. If there is a link on that I can go or anything, I should know, then please comment just down below.   That error is likely to most associated with a hard drive failed, only to any generic problem of Win10.

  If you can, follow these instructions to test the hard drive: test a hard drive in the BIOS. HP® customer support

  Related to a USB recovery, HP provides support of recovery for some PC and in some cases, will offer a USB key instead of the usual DVD game - but you'll have to contact HP customer care to see if it is available for your specific model of PC.
